"Please open the door, Michael" Lexi said while banging the wooden door with her fists. With her constant knocking, her hands turned red but she didn't stop. She couldn't stop. How could she when her Michael was silently suffering beyond those closed doors?
She blamed herself again and again for his predicament. If only she hadn't listened to her father and canceled her spousal mark, then he wouldn't be suffering like this. After that day in the ice room, Michael didn't return to the stray beasts and instead stayed back in the fox tribe. And the worse started from there. Lexi never thought that being a stray beast was this painful.
Every night he screamed while painfully clutching his chest and Lexi could only watch because she was incapable of helping him.
"Michael, please....tell me what is happening. I can't help you if you remain silent"
