The Butler of an international assassin known in the world of paid murder for the balls to take on any paycheck walked in carrying the phone with a high caliber client of his paying the biggest check of his life to get back in contact. "Yellow?" Bentley Allard answered the phone as he looked at his Butler, Corbin Almond. "Your window of opportunity has appeared, take advantage of it before it's gone. What are you doing? Go now!" Bentley heard from his mysterious client's raspy voice until the end when she got louder and frustrated by him taking a pause to judge her voice. He hung up the phone and stood up out of his chair. "Corb, I'll get everything prepared for us, go contact the others. There's no way in hell I'm taking this on alone even if I have to share the check or damage the reputation I made flawless by refusing." Bentley Allard ordered his butler before walking off to prepare his part.
"We welcome all of the officers to this year's quinquennial Generilian police ball!" Said the officer in charge of hosting the quinquennial award ceremony and ball held by a different city each event. "Word is that this event has the largest gathering they've had in ten years." Said Artus through his helmet connected to his siblings' as he walked around after previously greeting all of the officers. "Does it truthfully matter when the majority are civilians?" Ember asked as she watched from above, watching the crowd whisper and hearing murmur from below. "I find it way better, this is more about appreciation for the finest than partners competing for a chunk of metal." Artus answered her as he shook hands with a few he's worked with on cases then kept himself moving. "That's a fair point, the competitive reason would make this event more fun with a bit of trash talk." Ember asserted with a straight tone and tried to remember if she had used that final phrase correctly, contrary to what Artus took it upon after first hearing it. "I really hope you're just kidding, Embs." Artus replied with a look of confusion on his face. "It isn't that deep, Artus." Ember insisted as she left him feeling revenge for him always saying that to her, he didn't know what to reply. "I'm keeping my eye on the horn tattoo on the catering team." Lyle informed his siblings as he watched from ground level on the side of who he suspected.
A day earlier, Bentley Allard met up with his team of specialists to take on the contract, picked out by himself personally, who similar to him conveniently are known for being elusive and superhumanly daring. The most required ingredient for where they're going to be and what they are to do. Bentley Allard, Corbin Almond, Gael Paisley, Beck Fletchor, Cerise Giada all met up at the back of a costume store. "Why are we organizing at a costume shop?" Beck asked when he walked into the back of the store after getting directed by one of the employees, he was greeted by Gael and Corbin. "Unsuspecting and owned by one of our coworkers." Gael stated with his often confident tone. "It's still not clicking with me." Beck responded as he gave his usual smirk. "Through the rumor stream that's in our world, you're the same goon who got his score grabbed by Bent because you couldn't hit your targets." Gael fired off with a condescending tone before giving the type of smile that Corbin hated seeing on a young man. "I've stolen way more kills from him than you'd ever know that, stay worrying about yourself." Beck set straight before he shook his head. "The difference is the details are known, you had a PKV250 sniper and a vantage point set in play allowing your shot to be child's play as long as you have eyes but you did miss the easiest shot of your life leading to unbreakable carpals Bentley to still confront everyone even after you've alerted them and part of it claims he didn't miss a punch as the cherry on top." Gael continued making fun of him. "I'll be sure to steal a kill from you, then shoot the guy who told everyone." Beck replied with his arms crossed and one of his eyebrows lifted. He had on his mind the exact perpetrator.
Corbin saw Bentley and Cerise now entering and stood up as they sat down. "I'll make this very short and very brief, for you Mister Fletchor Master Bentley agreed to give you a portion of his share as an apologetic gesture." Corbin informed the crew as Beck looked over at Bentley and he returned the look. "Tonight is the quinquennial held police celebration honoring those lost and those who've worked hard, our high profile client is paying this crew to bring her the heads of the three police commissioners from the three cities who are all gathering at this special event tomorrow." Corbin informed the crew as Bentley was feeling relieved his butler stopped pushing for him to speak. "Is this a revenge case on all three chiefs, seems unbelievably coincidental." Cerise asked and gave her thoughts. "Corbin's got men on it that'll let him know when they've found it, he's nosy but the reason is irrelevant and only that others hear that unbreakable carpals Bentley accepted a contract in Generil, in Josue's city, he didn't back down." Bentley replied as he leaned back in one of her chairs, however, stopped after she gave him a look that's always made him see his mistake. "Let her intimidate you, like a tough guy would ever." Gael commented under his breath. "A red Dahlia fell right next to me earlier, I'm going to need to know how big the pay is going to be for me to stay on the team though." Cerise insisted they let her know.
Disguised and hidden in the crowd seating while the awards and speeches are given, Cerise looked upwards and saw one of the Gen-Oath members keeping their eye on the crowd and stage from above as she saw Acacia and gladiolus flowers dropping to the ground slowly behind her. She looked over towards the giant talkative one speaking to her coworker Gael wearing his fanciest suit with the fakest look showing interest she knew he could make and saw daisies, black eyed Susans and zinnia gliding down until they faded. She was hesitant to look over again at the one leaning against the back with his arms crossed and one leg up. He has only moved once from that spot. She eventually gained enough courage and witnessed willows, belladonna and striped flowers. "The world's still wrapped up in flowers for you?" Bentley asked in a whisper after he came to sit down next to Cerise. "It's fine if you don't believe me but I'm still standing with all credit to it." Cerise replied with her whispering assertively as she leaned in closer to his ear. "What are that guy's flowers?" Bentley asked as he pointed to a tall, bald and chubby officer attending and sitting farther away. "Yellow lilies, Begonia and Anemone flowing to the ground." Cerise confidently answered him with a smug expression before she turned her gaze back over at the top guard. "That's very specific, and how did you figure out what each meant?" Bentley asked her after he turned his gaze from the officer in question. "Getting to know others, everyone's incredibly different but we can all have the same tendencies any day we feel." Cerise answered as she looked at him. "What are the flowers you see when you look at me?" Bentley asked.
"You can ease up, Miss minuscule patience, we've all done great work over this half of a decade." Said Chief of police in Alyi, Decartes Svoboda. "Leave her be, Dec, not all of us are fortunate enough to slip in and out the crime we're surrounded by and into celebrations like you or multitask." Police chief Carl Caradoc, chief of Seyort's force. "Expectedly Over exaggerating Cara, I do take my job as seriously as Aida, you two simply focus too much on the grim cases." Chief Decartes replied before he looked over towards Aida who was staring into space. Chief Caradoc was going to react to him calling him by that nickname he hates but realized how quiet Aida was being and how quiet both of them became. "What do we need to worry about?" Chief Decartes asked Aida as he leaned closer. "An enemy from her past." Chief Caradoc whispered, Aida gave him a reaction, she placed her hands in her pockets and walked away back into the building where the award ceremony was being held, silent and with a blank face. It made him pretty confident that his guess was correct. "I hate having to investigate and interrogate fellow officers." Said Chief Decartes after she walked away and the two was stuck staring at each other.
