Sarah's Pov -
The events of the Novel take place in the Kennedy Empire.
The Novel described the Kennedy Empire as one of the most powerful Empires. Since, they had a lot of magic support as well as their powerful knight forces.
The male lead Fredrick Nicholson Lloyd Kennedy is engaged to the villainess, Rubia Mary Albert Charleston (A political marriage) at the age of 19.
The novel does not mention much about the crown prince's childhood except for the fact that his mother was a noble who used her pregnancy as a reason to get closer to the emperor, whom had one-sided feelings for. Her name was Vanessa.
Vanessa died when the crown prince was a young child.
The emperor loved his child, he just didn't show it much. He wished for the prince to find his true love which is probably why he accepted the relationship between Fredrick and Catherine.
Fredrick doesn't care much about the villainess Rubia but, Rubia is shown to love him since he was one of the few people that understood her truly. The reason was never mentioned of though. Nor did anyone bring it up. Rubia was that irrelevant.
Fredrick and Catherine meet coincidentally when he saves her from a group of thugs and he instantly fell in love with her. From then on Fredrick constantly went to check up on Catherine and eventually bought her the title of 'Countess'.
Rubia who heard of these events from the maid's gossip was irritated and filled with jealousy.
The villainess attempts to poison the female lead.
Fredrick finds about it and charges Rubia of attempted murder.
Louis (Rubia's brother) begged for his sister to not have a heavy punishment.
Frederick accepted his request for the sake of their friendship.
Rubia is then imprisoned for Two years and when she is released, she once again wished for the death of Catherine.
So, she charges at Catherine with a knife, but her efforts were futile. Catherine was saved by the royal knights.
When Fredrick hears of these events, he gives Rubia the death sentence.
And after that comes Catherine and Frederick's engagement...
The only ones who truly cared about Rubia in the end were her parents and her brother.
The author of the novel 'True love' also mentioned that Louis had unrequited feelings for Catherine. But he couldn't choose her over his sister who was family to him.
