Chapter 4 - This is now my World

'Elvira— mother, my mother! My mama! She was supposedly dead by now? No... it can't be, how could I write that?!'

(☉_☉)

She panicked and had been drowning herself in guilt after remembering how she cruelly decided of killing a woman so wonderful.

Wisteria the author, desperately, remembered how her past life was filled with bitterness and melancholy that she decided on something so dreadful.

According to her memory, her idea before was to make the book Wisteria understand the situation she was in when the story was starting.

Alone, and depressing. A colorless beginning.

It was bound that Wisteria, who is presently her, will experience that phase because in the original book her mother died on giving birth.

*Gulp..*

She can't picture her mother's image of dying... Just— horrifying.

Elvira should've died peacefully. The whole Dukedom did not celebrate, they mourned and it went on for months.

And now, Wisteria feels a little worried after realizing such a major thing this late. What if it will be the same for the future?

She will be deciding on something that could've affected the future for the worst? Yes, there's a possibility for good but another percent will be for the bad.

This is crazy.

She closed her eyes and tried to remember the book Wisteria's life.

At a young age, she already showed the resemblance of her face and personality like her mother's that led the Duke to shun her.

Waldemar had always been looking away from his daughter since her birth. Even ignoring her existence and forgetting almost everything about her.

Never preparing grand on her birthday, until it was her coming of age. In the dining, she was always alone.

Her life felt so traumatizing that she step away from the masses and behaved as a proper lady to please her father. Afraid she'll be thrown away.

It got even worse when the people of her home distanced themselves from her to avoid getting involved by the Duke's wrath.

This led her to be secretive from people and aloof from the crowd. She's been more unapproachable, which made the people question her loyalty to the kingdom.

In the end, the beautiful lady of the house remained a mystery, unlike now when Luna was reborn.

Wisteria Mooncrest of today was the most used word in the whole kingdom from the moment she was born.

It was weird. There's a huge difference between what was supposed to happen compared to what she was experiencing now.

That reckoned childhood will change, because of Elvira's declination of death.

Wisteria's thoughtless decision led to a massive change.

The fear immerged and spread through her system once again. Messing her mind, confusing her.

'What if something more dangerous will happen to her? I can't handle that.'

*Gasped dramatically*

Oh, this little soft heart I have right now, what a troublesome!

*Breathes slowly*

'Regardless, nothing must happen to her... she's my mommy. I will never let anything happen to her.'

The baby's eyes glowed an iris shade as if a conviction was made that nobody can break.

It was Wisteria's power that is remarkably growing without the knowledge of others, even her.

Her partial maturity made her powers react with advanced progress, the magic inside of her is stronger than anybody could expect.

Despite that fact, her safety was not guaranteed.

She may live with the memories of her past as Luna, but she is still a young child. It complicated the situation severely.

She's aware and lucid, no more innocent, she knows the extent of reality.

That led her to be stronger than the book Wisteria. She can be as powerful without the need for trauma.

Nevertheless, Wisteria is still a baby, an actual sensitive infant... with an astounding ability to perceive. She's too wise for her age, and she wasn't even aware, too.

Right now, her heart is still adjusting to the world she was born in, and her memories don't help her adapt.

Troublesome memories.

A few weeks had passed and she is still in her mother's comfort.

It's not that it's bad, theoretically speaking, even if she wants to eradicate the evils she will remember soon... she can't.

She's in her baby form, and all she could only do was... well— be a baby.

Her skills could only do as much... like act cute and annoying, then sleep all day.

On the outside note, for a first, that is something good for her. A break from all her rushing ideas and worries.

Clueless people that surround her may think of it as an ordinary thing to do for her, but it helps her divert her attention from extreme measures.

On the other side, Wisteria thought about the beneficiary not doing anything and that's keeping her from the danger of being a daughter of the Duke.

Many may not know but she was prone to being a target of her father's nemesis, and discrimination from the people who are against the beliefs of the Holy Church— which includes the deity Lunaphelia.

Yup, being around Mommy was the best choice.

'How fun, isn't it. Ugh. Stuck and useless.' Wisteria groaned mentally.

She loves Elvira but she's not even aware of how things will follow.

Just hardly faint memories could only be attained and it's worsening her worry.

Guilt consumes her again.

To kill Book Wisteria's mother for character development was just... unfair.

She's blameworthy in her eyes.

After growing for a few months, she is now at the age where she could be left alone with only a maid.

Granting Duchess Elvira a long time to rest, despite her stubbornness of watching over her daughter every second.

Wisteria's eyes roamed around this luxurious room built for her.

The ceiling was painted with detailed images of the moon goddesses. The whole room was designed in white and silver, and the furniture was unnecessarily fancy.

There are floating stars and golden trinkets, chandeliers on the ceiling, and carpeted floor, and even her closet was already filled with endless clothes that are stored sophisticatedly by Ms. Minchien, herself.

Days ago, there was a nanny assigned for her, the trusted maid that Mrs. Minchien handpicked herself.

Esme is a young and dependable worker of the house Lunaphelia. She was observant and sweet.

The Duchess had also acknowledged her capabilities several times and was believed fit for the job.

Yet, the most important thing was her loyalty to the family and she was indeed qualified.

The golden pacifier was bobbing without rest while the baby tried to squint her eyes, watching her new maid.

'Now, what kind of use I could benefit from you... Esme,' Thought by the baby.

Esme was just carefully admiring her, loving the color of the baby's eyes.

"Your hair resembles your father, but your face looks exactly like your mommy. You remind me of the young master Winfried, too. Both of you squint your eyes every time you're not satisfied with whatever you see," she cooed.

If Wisteria could only raise a brow to judge her right on her face, she would.

Even Esme knows she would, that is why she giggled, amused.

"The duke has eyes in the shade of ash, while the Duchess owns beautiful azure orbs like the young master... but you, my young lady."

'Yawn~ I'm sleepy, she talks a lot, her voice was comforting... I would've appreciated it if I were a fan of sweet people.'

Esme watched how the baby's eyes were now slowly drooping, telling her that Wisteria was now sleepy.

She smiled, watching every movement of her face. "Yours was different, my lady... Those glowing pair of eyes that's reflecting the amethyst gems are mysterious and graceful... I wish for you to grow slowly, my lady."

Wisteria didn't hear her last sentence and if she did, there will be a hoard of insults flying through Esme.

The baby had been wishing to grow up in a snap if it was possible.

Elvira spends her time more around her children after realizing how frightening to bear a child in your own body was. Its threat to your life was even more disheartening.

Her eyes never left Wisteria and Winfried. During by their time in the garden, she lets Portia and Klaus come with her for children.

She wants them to be humble and kind, and being friends with children like them is the same with children of their title.

Breaking the wall between Poleved and Noble.

Her views in life were now settled in clarity, and she wants to take care of her children as much as she can.

The Duchess loves the indoor garden, that is why they all spend their time together on that part of the manor the passing months.

Winfried was now close with Klaus and Portia, and Wisteria being the youngest member of their tiny crew, played quite vigorously. The dynamic between Klaus and Winfried struck Elvira with an interest.

Amid a joyous day, the baby... in her mind, had never remembered anything important besides that she's more acting like a baby every second.

She didn't love the idea, and so she tried sharing a few words with his brother whenever they are alone with mommy.

Wisteria grasp her brother's hem and it instantly caught his attention.

"Hmm?"

He sat beside her and leaned closer, yet she could only mutter gibberish baby talks...

(☉_☉)

And then she realized... she still haven't said any word for months now.

(ಥ﹏ಥ)

'Oh gosh! Do I even know how to form a word?! I'm hyperventilating! Somebody, sedate this pure, sweet, perfect baby girl! Huhuhuhuhu!'

Her brother understood her attempts.

"Come on, Yerrie, say big brother's name! Freddie." Winfried beamed, watching her baby sister's reaction. "Fred....—die,"

"Pwe—" she tried, and every servant around them are secretly waiting and the Duchess let the two converse as she watch peacefully, encouraging her daughter. "P-Pwe-pwe—"

'Yes, go on, Yerrie, you've said more difficult words than this older brother of yours' name!'

"Freddie~" Winfried repeated,

Struggling, Wisteria's lips are beginning to moist. "Pwe—"

"Come on,"

(>×<)

"Pweddy!"

(◕ヮ◕)

"Yes!" Winfried celebrated, clapping his hands, "That's it! Pweddy~"

(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧

"Good job, Yerrie! Good job," Elvira kissed her chubby cheeks and without thinking, Wisteria laughed happily, clapping her hands as she now muttered her first word.

"Tell that to daddy when he gets home, alright? Hmmm? Try mommy and daddy next, baby."

Forced by her conscience, Wisteria had to express a response for acknowledging her mommy. In which, she did adorably.

She baby talked.

Winfried was too happy that he went running around the garden, telling off Klaus how Wisteria just said his name and the other two kids were jealous.

The maids are also silently rejoicing after witnessing the young lady's first word and that cute little clap.

"Good luck making her say 'Klaus'," The older brother struck a confident pose, fanning his lips like yawning as an act of provocation.

Portia pouted, "No fair! Now it was written in history that Wisteria's first word was his older brother's name!"

"Thank you, thank you,"

"How can I even shorten Portia?"

Winfried smirked, "You can try... but— ah, I'm still the first word... ha! First."

Klaus couldn't handle the ego of that young kid, "Your name may be her first word, but I will give her my word once she learns how to appreciate a man."

Winfried was stunned whilst Klaus wore the face the other boy had once swearing and Portia couldn't help but laughed. Satisfaction field their ego.

"Then a wish of luck, if you even dare try."

Winfried was unconsciously piercing his gaze towards his direction. Staring at him straight in the eyes.

Klaus had stopped the lightness of his look and eyed the platinum blonde child, "It was not meant to be serious, your grace."

"No, it was nothing."

Wisteria was aware of the whole exchange of the other kids and she was entertained. Secretly cheering his brother.

Her eyes are fixed around them and realized their immense amount of zeal.

Her brother does have it, but Portia and Klaus were filled with this immature figure she couldn't tell.

She got more intrigued.

There must absolutely be a reason why they are here and the Luna version of herself probably prepared something.

Because she could tell that they are strong... very strong.

'This only means one thing, and one thing only..." she trailed, watching them.

'I'm involving myself with them deeply.' The baby settled her mind.

Not only to the children, but also her parents.

"Right... yeah, that's what I need. To involve myself more, to be their daughter and sister. I am not somebody else, I am their child. This is now my world.'
