All heads turned to Heather and Glen as the female alpha waited for an answer. Glen barely raised an eyebrow when he heard her proposal and he stared at her for a long moment before reacting.
"Can you tell me why you are taking over the pack next month?" He noticed the slight flinch and Heather's face closed as she looked away. "You're still young and it's not like something is urging you to… Or maybe something is urging you to," the alpha concluded, studying Heather's features.
"We just thought it was the right time."
Glen felt she wasn't being completely honest and he wanted to check his hunch. He put his phone away and offered bluntly.
