On the desert road, two figures could be seen walking together. One was wearing a Victorian suit with a stylish top hat and a night-black cane with a golden lion handle. Due to the shade from the top hat, her facial features were unclear, but one could see her lips were in a grin. The other girl was a red-headed beauty wearing a dirty tank top and baggy jeans. She was walking slowly step by step, exhaustion could be seen on her face as she walked.
"So, why weren't we fixing up the car and riding it?" asked the red-headed girl or Aurora as she introduced herself.
"Of course, it was to have time to chat among ourselves," I replied in an upbeat tone.
"I am sorry, but I didn't understand. I saw how you took care of that monster and how effortless you looked. I am not sure if I could help you with anything other than showing you the way, and even then, wouldn't it be faster if we just ride my car?" asked Aurora.
I shook my head at her impatience. Sure, this route was a little hot and walking thirty miles by foot would be tiring, Hmm, now that I thought about it, it seemed I was a little unfair to her. I supposed I could help her out a bit. I wished under my breath.

"Come here," I said to the girl. However, Aurora flinched and retreated about three steps when she heard me. I frowned, how rude!
Since she was like this, I won't be polite anymore. I froze her space. She went still as she couldn't move anymore. Her only organs that were capable of moving, her eyes, were flailing about in confusion and fear. I stepped slowly toward her even as she whimpered in fear and touched her forehead, slapped her with Peak Human Regenerative Healing Factor. After that, I released her. As soon as she was released, she immediately touched herself everywhere, inspecting if I did something to her. I sneered, what a drama queen.
"I gave you a useful power, you should even be thanking me," I said to Aurora, who was still watching me vigilantly.
"What do you really want?" She replied. Since it was like this, I shouldn't waste time anymore and put my employee offer on the table now. I summoned a table and two chairs.
'Hmm, it looked a bit out of place here,' I contemplated while looking at the table and chair that appeared out of nowhere on a highway in the middle of the desert directly under the mercy of the sun. Finally, I just shrugged and left it be. I was too lazy to add other things to make this scene more harmonious. I sat at one of the chairs and gestured gawking at Aurora to sit on the other one.
"This world is ending," I started out slowly.
"Hello, in case you didn't notice it yet, it already was," Aurora deadpanned.
"No, no, this wasn't ending yet, this was just a prelude. The real players didn't even make a move yet. No, the Cataclysm would only start after those Old Gods and Outer Deities made this little planet their battlefield," I declared at Aurora, who was making quite an interesting expression.
"No," Aurora said, standing up violently.
"Excuse me?" I was puzzled.
"No, you are lying. I won't accept that. We are already losing as it is, but this is just a start? That was bullshit!" Aurora denied it profusely. I shook my head helplessly.
"Say what you will, this is the truth," I said in a serious tone to get my point across.
"So, what do you want? We are already doomed anyway, what do you possibly want?" Aurora said in a tired voice.
"That is where you are wrong, my dear. It is you guys who were already doomed, not me," I said slowly while grinning. She stilled at my remark and looked at me in a different light.
"Can you save me?" She asked, to which I nodded in agreement. Well, if you could call throwing her to Lord of the Mysteries and stuffing her into the Sefirah castle is technically saving her. Anyway, Klein would release them back into the world when the Apocalypse was near. If you thought about it like this, she really is pitiful, evading one Apocalypse only to meet with another when you wake up. It was also a little funny in a schadenfreude way. Yes, I am totally following this plan.
I gestured to her to sit once again, to which she complied. Afterwards, I stopped time to wish for a contract. The contract's information was roughly as follows, I, Alice Weather would give her powers and the necessary equipment to which she would use and be a hero in the name, her patron, Lady of Miracles, me and as a price, I would give her the knowledge required to escape from the Cataclysm which was about to descend. I resumed the time and showed her the contract. She grabbed it and read it carefully.
"I don't get it," she started, "if the world is about to end, what is the point of all of this fame?" She asked.
"That wasn't something you should be concerned about my dear," I grinned and continued, "I have my own considerations. What you should do is follow the contract and escape your fate".
Aurora looked at me frowning, she couldn't help but ask, "you, you are strong, I am sure you could help us if it's you, help humanity? Why didn't you?"
"You are misunderstanding something, I am under no obligation to help humanity and I don't have the capability to help you. Do you think things are bad now? When those Outer Deities come into this little dirt ball, everything will be corrupted. The air you are breathing will try to kill you, the water you are drinking will strangle you. This very Earth will actively try to kill you. Not to mention the residue that would be left behind by a fight between Old Gods and Outer Gods," I explained to her. Then, my eyes fell into the passageway between her and the unidentified Sefirah. I forgot that. Maybe, I could try that. I smiled slightly and looked her in the eyes.
"But maybe, you could help them, at least, preserve humanity that they could usher in a new age," I nodded to myself, "Yes, indeed, you have the qualification to become a protagonist".
"A protagonist?" Aurora spoke in a confused tone.
I grinned and said, "a mysterious space that was bound to you," I pointed at her while she widened her eyes in surprise, oh my dear, she didn't expect me to notice that thing?
I pointed to myself, "a mysterious patron who saved you out of nowhere. Now, tell me, who would dare argue that you are not a protagonist. Wait, wait, let me guess, you have an evil adopted sister and an idiot for parents too, don't you?"
"Umm no? I don't have any relatives," she refused.
"Any hidden grandpa or grandma inside your space?" She shook her head.
"Some sort of translucent screen appearing randomly?" She once again shook her head.
"Then, betrayed by a douchebag for another woman who has been bullying you?" She nodded her head at this one.
I sighed, "good, we could work with this. But you need a more tragic backstory. Let's find out if your relatives are alive. After all, they could be anywhere".
