Matthew sprang to his feet the moment Albert crossed the threshold to his front room. Through the darkened space, he caught Katie pulling down her top so he gave her a few seconds before he turned on the lights.
"Albert!" Matt's voice sounded high-pitched. Where it had come from, he did not
know. "I didn't know you'll be coming so soon."
"When you called, I told you I was on my way." Albert deadpanned, giving his friends uncomposed appearance a once over.
"Yes. Err..." He glanced briefly at Katie. "I came over to pick up some more clothes and I found her waiting for you. We were just talking."
"Yes," Katie said from behind. "It's a minute since."
"Hmm-hm." Albert dropped his keys on the table and shrugged out of his jacket. "You have lipstick on your face, Matt, and your zipper is undone."
Matthew laughed sheepishly and excused himself.
"So," Albert moved to a seat across from Katie and sat. "What was it you wanted to discuss?"
