Kyla shifted in her seat. "I don't understand. You are not thinking of bringing her with you to GC, are you?"
"I don't know yet. But I can't just leave her behind. Put yourself in her shoes."
"I can never be in her shoes," Kyla shook her head. "It just won't fit. You telling me that you don't know if you'll be bringing her back with us is just the same as saying you will. So I have to ask, where would she stay?"
"Kyla, listen--"
"In your two-bedroom apartment?" she continued, "Oh, right, I forgot. Matthew's in one room now. So that leaves your bedroom then. Are you going to share the space with her? Or perhaps you could vacate the space and take the couch till whenever she gets better."
"Nothing is certain yet. Heck, she might even regain her memories before we leave. But either way, I'm counting on Katie to look after her, they're practically like sisters. This is just a plan B in case she has to leave."
