Maryann stirred a little, muttering something under her breath. Her lashes flickered. But then her breath sighed in her chest and she settled again. Somehow, amid the maelstrom in their troubled marriage, something good actually come out of it. He still couldn't believe he had a kid. The most beautiful green-eyed baby he'd ever laid his eyes on. Bobby got that from Maryann. He'd also thought she was a green-eyed beauty queen when he first met her. The attraction had been instant, and he loved her dearly. But she ruined everything. She destroyed what they had and nothing could be done to fix it. He had no intention of being absent from his son's life though. Once she's much better, they'll figure it out.
