The rain stopped a few minutes after dropping Kyla off. Albert made a quick stop by his place to pick up some documents. With so much work to do, he was surprised to find Matthew asleep in the living room, feet propped on the center table and ankles crossed.
"Matt."
He muttered and shrugged off the handshaking his shoulder.
"Jesus, can't a man get any peace around here?" He blinked up at Albert. "Do you remember when I thought this would be fun?"
Albert kept his hands jammed in his pockets as he smiled. "Yeah."
"Well, I was wrong." he rotated his neck, making the vertebrae pop. "Why don't you go in, get us something strong to drink?"
"I still have work to do. And you? Are you done for the day?"
"Yeah." he spotted an easy grin. "And the psychologist?"
"What about her?"
"Well, where is she?"
"I dropped her home."
Matthew's white-toothed smile flashed in his dark face. "How was the date?"
