After Albert's dinner announcement over the phone, Kyla had gone for a run in her wolf form. It had been a while since she ran and it helped clear her head. It archived the one thing Gretel had tried but failed to do for the last week--put things back in perspective.
The blood-red moon was only three weeks away and she had work to be done. She hadn't gotten anything from Gen and she'd been MIA from the pack since the breakup. She knew she had to get her act together because there was plenty of time to mourn a broken heart after what she expects to be the battle of her life.
