Chapter 1 - The Beginning

Long ago, Humans lived in Harmony with Demons, Seraphs, and Dragons.

They enter realms and greet each other with kindness and love.

Peace was of the races that stayed in the world we call Earth.

Demons whose bodies harbored Magic,

Seraphs who contracted with various Spirits,

Dragons that controlled the Energies,

And Humans with their innovations and schemes.

Each having their own unique abilities, they reside within the world, expanding their influence and developing their cultures, governing the lands as they pleased.

The Demons have a King, who guides them through the war's madness with great effort, keeping the traditions of the former generations that lead the race to its peak.

Seraphs follow the Spirit Queen who gave them their power to call upon Spirits.

Dragons don't serve a King nor a Queen. They all follow each other's actions as if everyone was a leader.

Humans have a Royal family, with the Queen having the most power as it is her right to give birth to a successor, she is also in charge of the kingdom's treasury. The King acts as one of the generals, though in most cases he is seen lazing around the palace.

They all live in their own right helping each other, giving ideas on building and developing one's society.

Till not long ago, a Song was played in the skies as if it was broadcasted around the world. That forced everyone to break the pact and go to war. As if it was controlling them to kill each other. Suffering and Pain was brought into the world. Destruction flowing through the battlefield and at some point they started killing their own. Deserters became Bandits, Leaders lost morality, and Slaves turned to Criminals.

Screams and Terror appeared within all the races. Children being forced to labor, the heavy workload had forced many to starvation, and eventually, their deaths. The weaker women in the towns were violated in order to birth more children to turn into warriors, men suffered torture beyond endless means, forcing them to accept their fates.

The Humans blamed the Demons, The Demons Blamed the Seraphs, The Dragons blame The Humans.

There was no stop to the eternal rage of war.

All until the Seraphims broke off and hid themselves in a region filled with hundreds of mountains and multiple valleys named "Fjord". They knew the war was getting out of hand and they weren't willing to lose more and more people to the war. They burnt countless resources in search of a suitable hidden utopia so that they won't have to meet others again. They hid in the mountains, used an enormous amount of magic extracted from an ancient Demon Heart, and covered themselves with a cocoon of nothingness. These actions hid their race deep within the mountains.

The Dragons had a similar idea, they flew off to the skies and used their energy to create the floating islands with the cost of over thousands of lives. So that the baby dragons may rest till they grow strong and fight back against invaders. As they are kind and courageous, they accept anyone who enters the Sky Islands but the visitor must complete a challenge before being acknowledged.

The Humans and Demons are still fighting. There was no hope for both. They were so focused on war that they didn't even think about their own kind. All they craved for was Victory. To overpower the enemy. To become the ones to rule all the races even if they only have one enemy. They want to eradicate each others' race, pushing their powers to the limit to conquer all domains around the world.

3000 years later….

In the Fjord.

A baby was crying in the forest of Fjord alone.

"I must be getting old. To think there's a child in this forest." said the old Seraph. "My, Who would leave a baby here alone-" then the old Seraph felt a chill down his spine. He instinctively put his old stick behind his back in hopes he could throw the enemy away. His attacker lunged exactly where he anticipated and countered it by throwing the enemy to the side. "Oh a grey wolf? What are you doing here?" wondered the old Seraph. Then the grey wolf leaped and aimed for the head of the Elder but it was pierced by an arrow from someone hiding on the trees. "Oh? Elaine, come out will you. You almost gave this poor old man a heart attack."

She stood up quite hurt from the landing as she tried to vault over the bushes and failed.

"Sorry Elder, It's just I wanted to show off and-" She then glanced at the child and Immediately ran "WHO WOULD LEAVE SUCH A CUTE BABY HERE?!", completely ignoring her apology to the Elder. The Elder smacked her with full malicious intent "Why, You…", He smacked her on the head so she pouted and fully apologized this time, then the Elder said "This is the problem, you see cute things and completely forget everything."

While conversing a subtle rumble occurred near the bushes and trees.

"We should go back," said the Elder, forcing his instincts and senses to the limit.

"We may not be the only one residing near the forest" as the Elder said those words, from a faraway distance, a Giant Demon the size of a hill appeared a few meters away.

The Demon's skin was dull like stone and it appeared to be limping like it was about to collapse.

"Hurry up and carry the child. Demons have an unreasonable grudge against them." After saying those words the Elder then ordered Elaine to pick up the child to bring it with them to the Fjord mountains.

"Elder! He is a human! If he knew the truth he may side with those-", Elaine was suddenly cut off by a large scream from the Demon Giant. "It seems to be aware of us. Let's move." said the Elder.

"But-" Elaine was cut off again by the Elder, "No buts you should understand it is still a child. We must take care of him ourselves. Now to Fjord!".

15 minutes later…

The Giant Demon roars from the distance as the Elder and Elaine are journeying to climb the Fjord. The Elder's eyes went into a state of calmness.

It's as if he scanned his surroundings for enemies. The Elder's eyes turned black and his shadow began to expand. The Elder then said "Don't worry Elaine. I'm just scanning our surroundings." Shocked and frightened Elaine asked "Is it because of that Demon's roar?". The Elder then replied with "Yes, you're as sharp as ever. When a Giant Demon screams, It is calling for help. It's most likely injured, It is best to be aware of our surrou-" he quickly went silent. His shadow then moved to form a sphere surrounding them like a barrier.

"Quiet." The Elder said. Then monsters began to rush as if they were called. Smashing trees and nests not caring about their surroundings. "This is why", the Elder whispered. As they pass by something within the baby's blanket is glowing. Elaine curiously tried to unwrap the blanket covering the "glowing thing" then the Elder immediately stopped her. The Elder noticed this and said "Wait." The startled Elaine frantically put her hand away and proceeded to follow the Elder's orders.

"They're gone now," said the Elder, "We must return to the village quickly. It seems that the child has a 'song'". The unknown word confused Elaine so she asked, "A 'song'?" What is that?".

The Elder looked into her eyes and saw her confusion and replied "A 'song' is an affinity, An affinity that destroys peace, a Calamity per say."

Elaine then replied with "If this baby has a 'song', will it follow its purpose of inducing Calamity?".

The Elder replies with a soft tone "I don't know, we will have to wait and see." Then continued "We Seraphs have a connection with the spirits making us Immortal. Seeing the world live and die again and again."

Elaine then cut him off and asked "How old are you?", and the Elder replied with "I've lost count ever since the war started".

As they arrived at the gates, they were greeted with rangers aiming their bows at them.

Elaine said "Hey Elder… why are they pointing their bows at us?". The Elder replied saying "It seems that their leader wants to test me".

The rangers' leader then shouted "ALRIGHT! Elder we want to see how powerful you are, We want to see what you hold within that white beard!" The Elder responds with a calm voice "Okay…".

The Elder chanted "The spirits who are near I call forth your power." As he chanted wind clustered around the Elder and Elaine. One of the Rangers noticed the agitated winds moving toward the old man. On the other hand, Elaine was acting calm but inside she's screaming like crazy "I can finally see it, I CAN FINALLY SEE IT! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT". The Elder ended it with "Push away my enemies and CRUSH THEIR DEFENSES!" The wind surrounding both Elaine and The Elder expanded with immense power and the gale rammed the gate and put the Rangers out of balance.

The rangers' leader was frightened by the event and ran away ignoring his subordinates and leaving them off with a bad image of him. One of the rangers angrily yelled, "Hey come back here!" The Elder then stepped forth. "I won't hold back if this happens again." Then his eyes glowed red showing his killing intent. Frightened, the rangers apologized and ran away immediately.

Then the baby cried again, The Elder said "Oh already? We spent the last 20 minutes moving with the baby quiet and now it's crying?". Elaine replied with "Maybe it's because of that gale you just blasted the gate with?". The Elder said "…Quiet" then Elaine scared "Oh Okay…".

Arriving at the gates, the Elder noticed that the watchmen were missing, "Where are the guards?", he wondered. "I think the rangers' leader told the Guards to move away." Elaine said.

As the baby kept crying, the Elder told Elaine "Calm it down, I don't want to be seen as a bad Elder". Elaine then raised her hand and put it near the baby and then chanted "Spirits that are near I call forth" then a small flame surrounded her arm "Please give this baby warmth". Then the fire went above the baby and made a small circular barrier covering the baby with warmth.

The Elder replied with "Your spirit seems to listen to you, that's good! The first time I called my spirit it hated me." Elaine then sighed "Oh no he is starting to monologue again.".

As they passed through the gates they notice the Village Chief inspecting his troops.

"Rennyn!" The Elder exclaimed, "Einar? Einar!" The Chief shouted, and he saw Elaine, "ELAINE?!" Rennyn immediately ran to her. "Are you hurt? Where did you get these bruises? Do you need a Healer" He then checked Elaine's face to check for other bruises. The Elder Einar got impatient. "RENNYN." The cane Elder Einar was holding broke from the immense pressure of the elder, Einar, produced by clenching his fist.

"Sorry Elder." said Rennyn. "Anyways, give me some baby clothes and supplies" Elder Einar had just calmed when Rennyn asked, "You got your wife pregnant?" Elder Einar immediately slapped Rennyn in front of the troops and shouted "No you fool! Elaine just show it to him." Elaine then showed the baby to her dad, Rennyn.

"A baby? Hmm, Let me guess you got another woman preg-" Rennyn immediately stops after seeing the pure anger accumulating on the Elder's fist. "Never mind" as Rennyn said those words he immediately asked the troops to go back to their original post. "Elder, Isn't this child a human? Not to mention this baby is a boy." Rennyn whispered, "He might kill us once he grows older" Rennyn continued. "No he will not!" Elaine angrily retorted, "I will teach him our ways and I will care for him for the rest of my life.", Elaine continued.

"Are you sure?" Rennyn felt nervous after saying those words. "Yes I am!" Elaine shouted.

"Well then okay!" Rennyn then showed a thumbs up and continued "You promise right? Then okay!"

"They are both idiots." Elder Einar whispered.

"Wait, where is the baby equipment?" Elder Einar asked. Rennyn said "Oh you still need those?".

And after saying those words the Elder immediately chanted "The spirits who are near I call forth your power" and right after that the wind gathered around the Elder spinning around creating a sphere around the Elder.

As if sensing the spell, the baby slightly moved its hand as if it was reaching for something and its hand slightly glowed. As Elaine was about to stop them then the glow shined brightly. While Elder Einar was chanting the wind was slowly diminishing and he noticed. It's like it made him stop chanting and made him do a chop on Rennyn's head.

Elaine so focused on the baby she asked the Elder and Rennyn "Uhm, Elder, Dad? Why is the baby's hand glowing?". "Glowing?" both Rennyn and Elder Einar said.

Elder Einar was surprised and muttered, "The baby cancelled my chant?"

Elder Einar is confused by the turn of events.

"What! It stopped?" said Rennyn, and finally the baby went to sleep.

"This is going to be tough…" said Elaine, "Must we keep this from him?" Elaine continued.

"We have to, If he knew there are many things he can do." Elder Einar said calmly.

"If he knew who knows what he can do, He might use his power to force us into slavery" Elder Einar continued. "In any case scenario, you'll be the one who will teach him no?" Elder Einar said.

"I only sai-" Elaine gets cut off by Rennyn and said "This will be your responsibility you know."

"But-" Elaine gets cut off again but by Elder Einar who said "Yes, it is best you teach him to fight and to survive." "Fine!" Elaine shouted, "But you will have to help me Elder!" Elaine continued.

"Oh I know, I'll be doing the most work anyways" said Rennyn, "Then… Okay!" Elaine exclaimed.

"(Here's hoping he doesn't get as idiotic as them)" Elder Einar thought.

"But first, your wife needs to know about this." said Elder Einar, "She's a beast." Elder Einar continued.

Elder Einar then said "Okay, Rennyn you tell her" then looked behind to give him a speech.

"Okay Rennyn I'll need you to- Where did he go?" said Elder Einar, "Oh he ran" said Elaine.

"I guess we have to do this ourselves." Elder Einar said calmly.

As they arrive at the Village Chief's house.

"WHAT?" said Rennyn's wife, "You want me to take care of a child? You know how long it is for us to grow up?" Rennyn's wife said angrily. "I'm sorry" as Elder Einar laid on the floor, "But this time-" Elder Einar then gets cut off by Rennyn's Wife, "You do know the pain and trouble I had to endure, taking care of Elaine? She turned out to be as idiotic as Rennyn!" Rennyn's wife exclaimed.

"But, mom!" Elaine exclaimed, after saying those words Rennyn's Wife immediately monologue "I, Mala Amana, sacrificed time and effort to raise you. You don't get to-", then Mala glanced onto the baby.

"Oh my, this is a cute child, what's his name?" Mala immediately changed her expression.

"(Thank god they're idiots)" Elder Einar was relieved and had tears of joy.

"I haven't named him sadly" as Elder Einar stood up and pumped.

"Though, I thought of naming him Harlet" Elder Einar continued.

"Oh! I'm going to name him Sieg" said Mala, Elaine then said "Sieg? What does that mean?".

"Doesn't that mean Void in our language?" said Elder Einar, "Shut it old man" said Mala.

"I'm Sorry." Elder Einar apologized. Elder Einar then went to the door and said "I'll be going now, Take care of him and I'll see his traits." As he was about to exit, Mala then grabbed his head.

"You are not going anywhere." Mala said angrily, "You will also teach this child." Mala continued.

"But that's Elaine's Job" Elder Einar replied calmly, "It's your job now too." Mala continued.

"But-" Elder Einar gets cut off and Mala asks, "Who was the one who found the child?".

"I see-." Elder Einar then stops. "Good now make haste! We have to celebrate." Said Mala.

That day laughter was heard from the Amana House.
