I couldn't help but keep glancing back at Silas and the lady. I was curious to know who she was, the way her eyes twinkle every time Silas whispers something into her ear. My hands unconsciously move to touch the mark on my neck, I've never felt so betrayed before.

"That's lady Anna Van Keppel, she's the daughter of duke Darcy Van Keppel and heir to Dargu kingdom. The king is welcoming her into court." I almost let out a breath, he was just welcoming her, being a kind host. Nothing more.
