Just a heads up that nothing in this chapter happened in 2001

Michael - "Goodbye mom and dad, I'll be back before the streetlights come on!" I yell to my parents that were upstairs. I walk out the door and grab the key out of my pocket, making sure I lock the door before I leave. With my little blue shoes on, I walk on the sidewalk. "Hey Michael, Wanna play with us?" One of my friends from school asked while I was next to the sidewalk of the playground. "No thank you, maybe tomorrow," I reply as I am accompanied by a tall man. What is a man doing at a playground, I thought. I forget about him and have fun, playing on the swing set. I looked up at the sky and saw it was getting dark, I could tell by how dim the clouds were getting. That's when the man walked up to me, "Are you alone?" He asked me. I shook my head and said that my parents were waiting for me by the bench. I had lied, I knew that there wasn't any bench for about a mile. He nodded and grabbed my arm, "Let me go!" I yell, looking around, hoping that someone would hear or see. There wasn't anyone that I could see, no children, people, or even the old lady who would walk her dog. With all my yelling, the man covered my mouth with his hand. I was thinking about biting him, but I knew there was no was I could out run him. It was hard for me to drag myself to a little house, but it was not too far from my parent's house. I remember this place! My best friend Alex lived here!, I thought. I was filled with relief, but then it hit me like a rock on the head. "Son I'm home" The man struggled to say, coughing in between his words. Then Alex came down from upstairs smiling. "Hello, father." He spoke as he waved to him. "Alex! It's me, Michael!" I yelled to Alex, but he just looked down and sighed. What is wrong with him?, I thought. The man drags me to a room and chains me up. The room was empty, cold, and it made me shiver. He walks out and invites Alex to see me, "Hey Michael, you're gonna be here for a while." He mumbles. "You can help me, Alex. Just let me go!" I tell him, but he just shakes his head. Then the man comes to him and points to the door, then out goes Alex.
After a few days passed, I lost hope of ever going home and started getting comfortable living with them. Though, I see my parents putting up posters when I look out the window. The man even unchained me and let me call him "dad". I started to like it there, I went to school, on family trips, and even kidnapped other kids. I didn't like the kidnapping kids part, but I had to live with it. I met this girl one day, her name was Cindy Mane, she was their next victim. I got used to her in the empty room, but she kept screaming so my ''dad'' said I had to get rid of her. She seemed like a very nice person, but she was just REALLY stupid. When I went to school on Monday everybody was talking about her, I felt really bad for her parents that I say crying there eyes out. "Why do we keep doing this?" I asked Alex when we got to the house. "I... we, don't have a choice. We live by our father's rules."
