This is becoming real now. Each dream that comes after the other feels so real, like she is right there by his side and has always been, like he had known her his entire life, how could that be? He has not even meet her before but she feels like she has always been there, not even seen her in his dreams, but why does it feel like he knows who she is?
"Arthur come on!! Don't you wanna accompany me go around the garden? Come on stay with me a little while before you leave okay? I have missed you so much, when are you coming to take me home? I feel so alone here, Arthur please!" The beeping sound of an alarm clock would be heard coming from the side table in the master bedroom. A very awake man was looking forward as he stretched his hand to the alarm clock on the side table and switched it off.
These dreams have been coming more often these days, and feel so real. Is she near? Or is coming soon? Arthur sat there for a long time before he got up and went to the bathroom. 20 minutes later, he walked out with a towel wrapped around his waist. He walked towards the side table and grabbed the phone that was ringing. "Hello" "The alpha as asked to see you in the pack meeting room." On the other side of the line came the voice of his best friend and assistant, Logan Moore.
"Is it agent? I can meet with him after the meeting at the office."Arthur asked.
"Well, it depends on the answer you give. If you found your mate, that might take a little longer because of all the detailed information that you will need to give about your mate and her background. But if that's not the case, it should go faster. It will just be the same old, same thing of how you need to put in more effort to find her fast, as you are soon to be"Alpha" and you will not have much free time because of the responsibilities that will come with the title, and so on and so forth." Logan said.
From the other end Arthur smiled as he commented,"So what you are saying is that, it's my ' monthly mate check up?', is that what you are saying?" He asked his best friend and assistant, who responded, "Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying" He smiled as he says that.
"Well I guess, I should drop by before I leave for work to avoid this conversation later in the day" " Move the meeting from 07:30 hours to 08:00 hours. I will meet you at the office." He said before hanging up. Then he walked to the wardrobe to get ready.
Arthur Kingsley, 30 years of age. Well educated, well mannered, very handsome and filthy rich. To the world, he is the handsome CEO of the multinational Kingsley Corporation but to these in the know, he is more than that. He is the next Alpha of the "Red Moon Pack". The red moon pack, is the largest and oldest werewolf pack that has grown and changed with every century. The pack has adjusted accordingly, to fit with everything each century brings with it.
Arthur has nicknames, to the world his the "boy next door", and in the pack "python" because he will squeeze everything out of his victims before he leaves them to die.
He has a killer smile, one to die for. The smile that has claimed many, because they thought that he was harmless and easy to manipulate, deceive or to deal with. They all fall for it and in the end, they all had one thing in common, very devastating endings.
Women and shewolves throwing themselves at him is an everyday occurrence but his not interested in any of them, and is still waiting for his mate. At the age of 30 and soon to take over as Alpha of the pack, some of the pack members think he should just take a shewolf from next biggest and powerful pack, "Crescent pack" next from their pack. But Arthur is not having any of it and insists on waiting for his mate, and the pack will just have to wait and see who their future Luna would be just like he is doing.
Some of the oldest werewolves have the thought, that the modern world has corrupt him and is now into men, hence his reluctance to go find his mate.
Others believe that the moon goddess has placed a curse on him and that he will never find his mate. His mother, Gwen Wilson has also started believing that maybe her son is really cursed.
Arthur's father, alpha David Kingsley once sent Arthur to different packs in search of his mate and future Luna but he came back empty handed and from that moment, he has not been in a rush to find his mate and just let things happen naturally.
On the other hand, Arthur's twin sisters Daisy and Mia Kingsley believe that their brother's mate is among the human race, to which most of the pack members are against because they think such a Luna is an hindrance to the future alpha and the pack as a all, especially now with threats to the pack around each concern and not knowing who to trust.
A car pulled up in front of the pack headquarters, and out came a handsome man. He walked towards the entrance and was greeted by a few pack members he met on his way to the meeting room. He greeted back to the members politely before moving to meet his father and alpha waiting for him in the meeting room and reading some documents in his hands.
"Good morning father." Arthur said to alpha David Kingsley.
"Good morning, how has been work? Is there anything interesting that has happened recently?"
" Father why did you call me here? Did something happen?" Arthur asked his own questions without answering his father's. His does not say anything as he stands up and walks to the window.
"Have you found your mate? When do we get to meet her? As you know, everyone in the pack is dying to meet their future Luna." alpha David Kingsley stated in a calm voice but it still sounded full of authority.
Arthur had his head bow down to show respect to his alpha and father before saying, "I have not met her yet but am sure that it won't be long now before she is here and revealed to everyone and me as well." Arthur Kingsley stated, confusing David by his statement.
"What does that mean? Are you saying that you know where she is? Then why are you not going to bring her here? What is going on" David asked many questions without stopping for Arthur to answer to each question individually.
"I do not know where she is but I have a feeling that she is near, and our meeting is not far away now." Arthur explained to his father who looked even more confused now.
"Dreams. She has been visiting me in my dreams for a while now. She visited me today as well."
"At first, these dreams come like a flash of light and were blurry." David looked at his son has he walked towards his chair, listening to him talk about his dreams.
Arthur continued with his story. "When they started, they were not as frequent as they are now. I get a visit from her almost every other day. I can hear her voice, calling me to accompany her around the garden, or asking me when I'm going to bring her home." Arthur said as looks ahead, like he is looking at her at that very moment.
"Is she werewolf or human? How does she look like?" David asked, a little agitated
"I have never seen her face before, I only see her from behind but I do know her voice, and she.... does not feel like werewolf." he said, still looking ahead as he answers his father.
David put his hand to his face, deep in thought. He had hoped for a different outcome but that doesn't mean he hates this outcome. He is glad that his son had a mate at least.
"Do you think that she, may be one of our human clients or client's daughter?" David asked in the end.
"I don't know, maybe or maybe not. We will find out very soon either way." that was the only thing he said.
"Have you told this to anyone yet?" David asked.
"You are the only one I have told this to." Arthur answered.
The two of them stayed quiet for a while before David said, "Then let's keep it just between the two of us for now."
For generations, the Kingsley family has had few of it's members who had visitations from their mates before they met. But all those visits were from their werewolf mates, who showed themselves to their mates.
This was the first time that a non-werewolf visited a member of the Kingsley family, and also for this long without showing her full self to her mate.
