"Are we almost there yet?" young William asked for the hundredth time. The Knights of Evermore have been traveling for days. They fled Cardell and were now on their way to the Liminglow forest. The forest was heavily guarded by a large mountain range that would be impossible to scale if one did not possess magical powers.
"Yes, we're almost there," his adoptive father said. Kalzin looked over at Elina who gave him an appreciative smile. Kalzin had very graciously offered to serve as a father for William in Icas's place.
"Hopefully no one will be able to find us here," Maline said. "What are we going to do about Eddeathra? We swore to protect it at all costs."
Kalzin shrugged. "Maisha told me that she had a plan, but now that she's gone, I guess there's nothing to do about it."
The group finally crested the mountain and stood on the edge as they observed their new home. "Well, here we are. The Liminglow forest."
"Are we really never going back there?" Hadrian asked.
"No," Kalzin replied. "We will go back. I know it."
