For tonight. Winter decided to watch a romance movie. The movie is called After. Pressing play. The movie started. With lights off. Popcorn in her hands and a huge cup of cola. Winter started to watch the movie.
Just like any girl. Winter loved watching romance movies and happy endings. Maybe live a romantic experience herself if it's possible. But all this was just dreams. In real life, she was a cocaine addict. Of course. No one will go to spend their lives with addicts and she wasn't interested in falling in love right now. Maybe in the far, far future. Right now. She's fine on her own.
"This was a good movie." Winter said as she placed the dish in the sink. Looking at the time. She sighed.
It's still early. At moments like these. She missed her parents. If her mother and father were still around. Maybe things hadn't come to this. Maybe she was a better person. She might have been the engineer that her father always dreamed of seeing her.
Winter had graduated the first in her class of the architecture department. Her teachers had huge hopes for her. companies offers came to her very easily. She could easily have been hired by the company she wanted. But what her mother did destroy her and when she was trying to pick up the pieces her father passed away with a heart attack. With that. All that's good in her was damaged for good. No matter how she tried to go back to what she was before all of this. She failed.
Winter knew that it wasn't right to use what happened as an excuse for what she is doing and what she become. But she's human and she had gone through a lot. At this point. She stopped caring about what people say about her along with the rest of her family. They tried to be close to her. They tried to be good to her. But she cut all ties with them. Not because they mistreated her. It was the exact opposite. They tried to be supportive. But at that time. She wanted to shut herself and be alone and by doing that she end up pushing everyone away from her.
Winters's thoughts were cut by the sound of her phone vibrating. Walking towards the kitchen counter. She picked it up. Reading the notification. She unlocked her phone to read the message. It was from Rony.
[There's a place I need to go and I need plus one. Care to come for one free fix?]
Thinking about it for a moment. She decided to go. It's not like she had something to do. More importantly. She will get a free fix.
[ Deal. What is the dress code?] She texted back.
[New club opening. I will pick you in an hour.] Rony texted.
Putting her phone on the kitchen counter. Winter went to prepare herself. She happened to have a new dress that she wanted to wear for some time now but she didn't find the right occasion.
