Despite all the prep talk and boosting his self-confidence Lucas still felt some doubt in his mind. He sneakily peeks a look at Adrian to observe his expression but all he could see in them was worry and concern.
Witnessing Adrian's love and concern as well as his gentle and careful touch on his nose, Lucas felt guilty and relieved.
Guilty that he doubted his love for him because of his own overthinking and relieved that Adrian didn't ask him about his sudden outburst and that in his(Ad) eyes he(L) was the only one.
Insecurity and doubt are things that once they take place in your heart won't go until you see feel secure and love from your beloved one.
And this time his insecurity and doubt were slowly but steadily melting through Adrian's love.
