Chapter 77 - HALLUCINATION OR MEMORIES?

Lucas sat by the side as time went by and it was finally the day of his birthday. It wasn't like he read in the book nor it was as he experienced as a child. It was different.

He and Adrian didn't exchange the gift nor promised to celebrate it together. Lucas was sad as well as happy seeing this.

His emotions were complicated. He wants Adrian and him in this memory or should he call his imagination to be together but he also didn't want to share the love Adrian had for him with others even his counterparts.

He sighs shaking his head then looked at the family in front of him.

He saw his mother give him the family heirloom left by his maternal grandparents which were same as in the book and he had experienced, but the gift he got from his father was different, in the book he gave Lucas a brand new watch, for him it was booked, however, he saw his father giving this Lucas a pen.

As for Luna, she didn't give any gifts.

Lucas just sat and observed them, he has many questions in his mind but has no method to get any.

Lucas sighs.

He saw his family spend the day playing games and chilling and finally it was time to visit his grandparent's home.

Lucas knew he would be left alone won't be able to follow them even so he followed behind them like always. He walks slightly behind his mini shelf. He was walking dazedly that didn't even notice where he was going and by the time he noticed he was already, on the porch. This time he didn't get transported to his room.

" How did this happen!" looking surprised and excited he fist up then he noticed his hands were small and opaque.

" Ah! how.....how come.....I.....oh!" Lucas was confused about how he become mini Lucas, then it hit him that he walking behind his mini shelf, " Did this happen because I tried to stride through him while walking dazedly and instead of passing through I possessed him!"

" If I knew this would happen I would have tried it sooner...." Lucas muttered. He has always acted as a bystander and never tried to interfere so as to not disturb them. Now that he became able to feel and touch properly he was beyond happy.

He looked at himself from head to toe, he jumped happily and dash to Olivia. He hugged her tightly calling," Mom!"

" Sweety, go and take a sit otherwise we will be late," Olivia softly instructed him patting his head lovingly.

He was so wound up in feeling the touch of his mother that he didn't see there was no sound coming from his mouth and Olivia didn't reply to him instead only instruct him.

He happily sat in the back seat and let his mother put a seatbelt in him. By his side, Luna was put on her protected car seat.

They reach their destination and it happened as in his real memories. His aunt made a mess and fight with their grandparents and they decide to stay in their grandparent's home for the night.

The next day when they were about to leave, Lucas tried to warn his parents about the ploy someone was playing against but he simply couldn't make any sound.

He knew that day if not for his sudden panic attack his parents would have died but what he didn't know was the mastermind behind it.

He tried to speak and when he noticed he couldn't speak he tried to gesture to them to not go even went as far as to write it down but as if they didn't notice him his parent's completely ignored his action.

They picked him up, put him in the back seat and began the car.

Lucas tried to kick the seat to throw tantrum and gain their attention but to his horror, all his body couldn't move. He was like a wooden doll. He could see and feel but he couldn't control the body. He was trapped inside 'Lucas' body.

He began to panic, in his mind he was shouting at his parents to not drive, he tried to control the body but all this was done in vain because no matter what he did or tried to do it was for nothing.

Without knowing his eyes began to well up with tears, tears began to flow from his eyes staining his cheeks.

Lucas helplessly looked as their car get hit by a truck. In front of his eyes he saw his parents die, his sister's cries echoed through the road, and he, himself was greatly injured.

Lucas felt heartbroken and felt a part of him dying. He was living for his sister only. He suddenly becomes too cold for anyone to even approach.

These emotions Lucas felt residing on the shell of this unknown 'LUCAS' were his and not too.

After His parent's death, he saw how 'Lucas' went to live with His grandparents but He couldn't live there long since He had to go for training and He can't forsake it for those that had already left him in order to get the revenge, He had to get formal training. He left His sister with his grandparents.

Residing inside 'Lucas' he saw Him training hard for 10 years harshly for revenging His parents. Lucas could feel this Lucas's emotions and thought process clearly. His frustration, anger, helplessness and worry for His sister as if he was Him.

Lucas couldn't properly explain the things he was experiencing but he could at least say he feel all the emotions of this Lucas as if he was Him but it was impossible for him to even imagine it.

The tragedy of this Lucas didn't end here when he returned home at the age of 15, he had a peaceful few months but on the 3rd month of his return, his grandma was murdered when he and Luna went shopping.

Lucas saw his grandpa break which he hadn't seen in his real life, he saw how his aunt and her husband try to manipulate ' Lucas ', and he saw how her cheerful sister began to lose the colour of her life after the death of their grandma.

From the eyes of 'Lucas', he saw everything and felt everything ' Lucas ' felt. He could see greed, malicious intent and hatred in his aunt's face. He saw how George and Joey tried to get what belongs to 'Lucas'.

He saw how the once mighty and powerful Marcus Evans aged in a night, become old at a visible rate and died after a few months following behind his dear wife.

In a few months, He truly becomes an orphan. Only His sister was alive and she was His reason to live.

But who would have thought in this difficult time His aunt and her husband would be despicable enough to transfer all their property in their name by force.

He saw them being kicked out of the house thankfully their mother's legacy was still there to keep them safe.

Lucas was furious and mad at this 'Lucas ' for not fighting for his right. He could tell this 'Lucas' has given upon anything even his life and the only thing that was making him go on was his sister.

He knew 'Lucas wanted to fight back too but they both knew the mastermind behind these ploys was someone big and they both knew they weren't capable enough to fight back. Lucas wants to live a peaceful life for not himself but for his sister.

Lucas was unwilling and want to control 'Lucas' but he simply couldn't. As an outsider, all he could do was see but he couldn't interfere.
