Chapter 78 - Crypt of Tragedy: Loot, Floor 5-7

As Silver opened the chest in front of the others, what came into view wasnt just one item but three. There was a tatered shirt under a small jewled dagger and a glass jar that had a floating brain inside.

Looking at the three items inside was like looking at a pile of garbage with the sole exception of the dagger.

Deciding to take out the dagger first to take a look. Silver found out it was nothing special and its pure purpose was to be sold for some gold or to be used as a regular dagger. After some talk they decided to sell it in the end instead of keeping it.

Takeing a look at the Jar next, Silver was first shocked and then was unsure of what to do.

[(Brain of Gurak the Undead)

Drop Rank: Uncommon

Gurak was once a warrior who stood at the peak but after being deceived by a necromancer who wanted to add him to his collection, Gurak met his untimly end. After being resurrected Gurak was nothing but a undead with a strength impossible for normal men to achieve.

(Consuming (Brain of Gurak the Undead) will permanently increase strenght by 10 once but beware its tast as you might become addicted.)]

Truely Silver felt like he was going to hurl after reading the discription. However he couldnt denie the bonus one would get from eating this unholy item wasnt bad.

Putting the brain in a jar aside Silver picked up the last item and again he was surprised but this time he was also conflicted as there is no way Kaiya would wear this tatered shirt that looked like chunks were riped out both near the chest area and near the edges.

[(Shirt of Gurak)

Drop Rank: Uncommon

Giveing the wearer a boost to both his manliness and strength, Gurak never left home without his beloved shirt.

(+20 to Strength stat while being worn.)]

Looking over to his sister and then back at the shirt. Silver reluctantly gave the shirt to Kaiya and then immidiatly used Mystic Dance to run as far as he could.

Nobody understood what Silver was doing and he even left Kaiya stunned but as soon as she read its description her face paled.

"Like hell im going to wear this!" Kaiya screamed while throwing the item onto the ground where Silver placed the Jar and then felt like slapping her brother for even entertaining the idea.

Silver could see Kaiya looking in his direction but after seeing that she didnt come after him and even decided to sigh and then look back to the others he thought it was safe so he returned but still stayed a little bit away from his sister just in case.

"So what should we do with these items?" Rachel asked as she bent down to also inspect the two unholy items that nobody in their right mind would want.

"The brain could be used to strengthen a pet or familiar unless one of you want to eat it. As for the shirt, we should burn it." Kaiya said while wanting nothing to do with the shirt.

"Agreed." Ailia said after also looking at the items.

"Wait maybe LIyr will wair it." Silver said only to get a glare from Kaiya and a devilish smile from Ailia that made a shiver run down his spine.

Watching Ailia pick up the shirt and walk over to LIyr before acting as cute as possible to convince LIyr into wearing the shirt, made Silver feel bad for the man.

The feeling only got stronger as he could see LIyr strip his top half and equip the shirt instead of his normal one before putting his armor back on.

As for the brain in the jar, Silver tryed to place it into his Mana Forest for safe keeping but it didnt work so they ended up putting it into a sack because Emy's summon refused to eat it and ran away immidiatly apon seeing a brain in a jar. Of course nobody was going to force it as even they didn't want to eat such a thing.

Now that the chest was out of the way, Silver decided to take a little bit of flesh from the boss and wrap it before putting it in his satchel bag. Although everyone thought what he was doing was gross and the girls would for sure make him take a shower after they got out of this dungeon. They didnt stop him and allowed him to continue what he was doing.

After everyone was ready Kaiya and LIyr lead the party into the portal that led to the fifth floor. The fifth floor wasnt all to different than the first three as it was still a catacomb with many rooms that held monster that were only waiting for them to stumble apon.

The formation of the party hadnt changed since they first entered the dungeon so when they walked down the long hallways and stumbled onto a group of undead, it wasnt hard for Kaiya to grab agro while LIyr would grab any strays and keep them busy until Kaiya could grab them. This was the strategy that they devised after fighting together on the higher floors of the dungeon.

Thankfully this strategy would also work in the future when LIyr wasnt part of the group because Rachel could take his place and could easly keep the enemy busy until Kaiya was able to taunt them.

The undead that they were now faceing was just as Silver had guessed back in the boss room. They consisted of skeletons but these skeletons could be devided into groups.

First was the skeleton warriors, that usually had a shortsword and sometimes had a shield as well. The second type of Skeletons was the archers. Although the hallways didnt contribute in hight, they were still quite spacious and that allowed them to attack from different angles that made it harder for Kaiya to taunt them.

Thankfully Rachel and Rianna were free so the arrows never hit anyone since Rachel would intersept the arrows while Rianna would do her best to tie up the Skelton archers or take their bows if possible.

These were the main two types of skeletons that appeared on the fifth floor. There was a few that had daggers and threw stones but they didnt actually know how to use the daggers and their aim while throwing rocks was purely garbage.

The fights on the fifth and sixth floor wasnt hard now that they had a system to work with when they encounter any undead and even was getting easyer as they went.

It wasnt until they took their first few steps onto the seventh floor that things got strangely harder. The skeletons got harder to break and some of the bones on their bodys started to show a sheen as if they where made of steel.

If something similar had happened on the third floor nobody would of found this odd but that was not the case and only led to two possibilitys.

The first possibility was that this was completely normal and it was a trait that they would also see in the boss fight. This was unlikely as when Kaiya read about this dungeon, she had never heard of the boss being hard to break apart.

Infact the only reason the second boss could be called 'hard' was that it was capable of summoning up to 50 skeletons to defend it but that was its limit. Kaiya even explained that If you could kill all the skeletons then the boss was like a sitting duck just waiting for its final moments.

The second possibility and also a golden opportunity in the groups eyes, was that this floor housed a floor boss. This was the most likely case as a floor boss wasnt just there to be a boss on the floor but also to strengthen the mobs of the floor as well.

Why the bones of the skeletons turned slightly darker and grayish or even black most likely was a result of either being in the floor bosses preccence or a ability the floor boss used to stranthen its minions to soften its pray.

Takeing this into account, the group sweeped the floor and took their time to search for anything that seemed out of place. The 7th floor was huge and took them nearly a hour to sweep with perfection so when they killed their 147th skeleton it would be a surprise if they wernt tired. Thankfully everyone in the group other than Liz, Kaiya, Silver, Rachel, and Rianna were now level 5 while some were close to level 6. Where as those that wernt level 5 were Level 6 already.

Silver decided to put his points into Dex while Rianna was still putting hers into Wis and Rachel put hers into Dex as well.

As they explored the seventh floor of this dungeon it was starting to get boring as they had already cleared out almost all the skeletons and they wernt running into new ones either.

After another 30 minutes of serching they finally turned a corner and ran into something that they deemed to be non other than the floor boss.
