Ariveing at the stairs leading down to the forth floor of the dungeon. The whole group was excited and also nervous at the prospect of fighting their first boss in their lives as adventurers. Even Kaiya, Blair, Trista, and Emy only cleared out the first floor of a dungeon to get to level 2 before leaving to do other things like exploring and finding the Gem of bonding in a nearby cave that had yet to be explored by others.
What stood in front of them was a male Zombie 13 feet in hight with tattered clothing. Small chunks of flesh could be seen gone from various parts of its body like its arms and legs as well as it torso. After haveing a good look at this hulking Zombie purly made of nothing but muscle and decaying flesh Silver already guessed this battle wasnt going to be as easy as killing regular zombies.
Cutting muscle is different from normal body fat and it was almost certain that it wouldnt shy away from throwing punches that would make even Kaiya buckle at the knees.
Although everyone has already entered the boss room the Muscle Zombie Boss still was roaming the room as if it had nothing better to do. It didnt even seem to of noticed them yet and that put Silver on guard as he wasnt one to believe they would get the drop on a boss in its own home.
Seeing that the boss hadnt noticed them yet everyone servayed the room. The room looked like a grand ball room with pillars lineing all the way to the back and a tattered carpet than ran from where they stood all the way to the opposite end where the boss was curently hen pecking a pillar out of boredom.
There was no furniture but if one looked up there was a balcony with a railing that went up to a meter. Blood staines could be seen lineing parts of the railing and even a few guts were dangling and looked close to falling.
As they procceded into the boss room little by little. The tension grew until it hit them like a bus when a dangleing intestine fell from the railing and landed only meeters away from them.
The Muscle Zombie Boss's head snaped in their direction after hearing the splat of meet hitting the ground. Eyes met and a tension that could be cut with a butter knife filled the air.
Finally when nobody could take it anymore the boss slammed the pillar it was next to and started into a mad dash twords Kaiya who was the closest to it. It muscular body swayed with every step and a small tremble could be felt and grew the closed it got.
"Rianna the piller." Silver shouted while sending out Mana strings to try and stop the boss even a little.
Hearing Silver, Rianna immidiatly sent out her mana strings and wrapped them around the closest piller along with Silvers and then moved them to grab hold of the Bosses left arm.
As soon as the Mana Strings got pulled on by the boss running forward both Rianna and Silvers mana reservs shot down by 100 and they jerked forwards a few feet. The Mana strings quickly tightened around the piller and everyone expected the mana strings to tear without the boss even loosing much momentum. However it was as if the Lady Luck was on their side as although the bosses did not slow down. The group got to witness the left arm of the boss get ripped from its body at the elbow where a already open wound already existed.
Although the boss was now down a arm, it didnt stop in its mad dash at Kaiya and with its right arm already pulled back getting ready for its first and it expected for it to be the last attack it would need to crush such a small pest.
In only the span of a few more seconds it was close enough to Kaiya and sent its right fist flying in her direction.
The air around the fist parted and a loud bang could be heard along with Kaiya skidding 5 feet from where she stood before.
With week knees Kaiya prepared for the next attack and activated her ability to shoot out black chains to grab the Bosses attention.
Although Kaiya's whole body was still in pain she felt like it was her duty to grab agro and keep the boss from attacking others.
As the boss was now looking at Kaiya with a vengeance as if she just killed its baby in the most brutal way right in front of it. Liz already summoned a totem of a beeing with wings behind herself that looked like it didnt have a solid form. Lifting her right arm in Kaiya's direction, a white mist permeated from the totem and as soon as it did, it flowed to Kaiya and danced around her feet in a ring.
As soon as the mist floated around Kaiyas feet her whole body felt relief as her aches disappeared and the stinging sensation in her arms disappeared as well.
This spell was one of Liz's two healing spells and was her only heal over time ability. The mist would last for 15 seconds before disappearing. However before it disappeared it would gradually heal the wounds of the one it surounded after the initial heal it would do when the mist's first appearance.
Now that Kaiya felt like she could go for a second round with the behemoth before her, she reacted herself by crouching a little to get a better stance and braced for the next attack.
Now that Kaiya had the boss agroed, the rest of the group didnt stand idle.
Trista sent out arrows one after the other while moveing to a location with a better view.
Both LIyr and Ailia moved in to attack the legs of the boss and Cristy sent out her whip to also slash at the bosses legs in a attempt to cripple it.
Blair did the same but focused on the Bosses arm every time after it hit Kaiyas shield. Rachel also moved in and used her rapier to help Blair as she had the highest dexterity in the group and probably the most flexibility as well.
Rachel was moveing in and out of the range of the Bosses arm with ease that even if Kaiya lost agro it wouldnt of been hard for her to get far enough away in time to not get hit or to grab the agro herself and dodge left and right until Kaiya got the bosses attention again.
The only problem with Rachel grabbing the aggro was that whenever Kaiya lost it the one who ended up getting targeted was Silver.
After the fight started Silver had used Mystic Body to get up close and personal with the Bosses face. After steadying himself of the Bosses right shoulder he had started attacking the base of the neck with his blade Edg of time.
So when the boss lost interest in Kaiya he would immidiatly attack the one person who was slowly removeing his head from his shoulders.
Thankfully Silver had a Mystic Body so when the boss tryed to grab Silver with its right arm or throw him off its shoulders useing other means. Silver would burst into a storm of leaves that would reform on his other shoulder.
Slowly the bosses muscular body was receaving heavy wounds that grew with time.
It wasnt long before the first limb was chopped off by a claymore that cleaved straight through the Bosses calf and separated the left leg from the rest of its body.
After the fist limb left its body the boss fell to the ground, Blairs katana took its right arm not long after.
Silver, although a little hesitant of killing a boss as he wanted to see if Emy could tame it, delt the final blow not long after its right arm left its body as well.
Even though the boss was now dead the tension in everyones bodys didnt disappeare until 2 portals apeared near the far end of the room. There was one blue and one purple that both served a different purpose. The blue portal would return everyone outside the dungeon while the purple portal would bring them to the 5th floor.
