"Chain lock."
As soon as those words left Kaiya's lips, 2 black chains lashed out from the black smoke on her shield and pieced into the center of the zombies chest. Not even a second after the chains pierced the zombies a black mist appeared on the zombies bodys and the black chains dissipated.
Chain lock was a skill to concentrait agro for a short amount of time.
After being affected, the zombies prepared to strike again but as they prepared to attack again their bodys froze.
If one looked closely, two small snow kittens could be seen with their kitten like teeth sunk into the heels of the zombies and small amounts of frost had appeared around the wound.
LIyr took this chance to shoulder check one of the zombies and send it back a few feet and onto the ground.
Ailia following LIyr and slashed at the zombies head with her short swords but was met with two hands reaching out to grab onto her ankles and pull her down to the ground.
As the hands were about to touch Ailia a whip wrapped around her waist and pulled her back and Ailia felt herself fall into the embrace of her friend who just pulled her away from the zombie.
As soon as Ailia was out of reach of the zombie a claymore slamed down onto the zombies neck and decapitated it as well as chip the floor under the zombie a little.
While all of this was happening, Blair also moved forward and slashed at the other zombie with her katana. Her blade had a slight red to it and radiated a small amout of heat. As the blade neared the neck of the zombie. Some small movements could be seen on the zombies fingers but it was already to late as a head flew into the air and the zombies body droped to the ground in seconds.
Looking at the group in front of him, Silver evaluated how everyone fought and a small frown couldnt help but appear on his face. 'They didnt do to bad but Liz's fire didnt do much and LIyr should of struck as soon as the Zombie hit the ground instead of waiting for Ailia to step in to finish it off.' Silver thought this while he scanned everyones state. Liz looked a little tired out and LIyr was makeing sure Ailia was fine.
"Alright. I think we should take a short break and then continue. I'm also going to point out a few things i noticed." Silver said loud enough so everyone could hear him.
"First of all, Liz I would like to talk with you about your skills in the future so we can figure out what is best to use in future situations. Fire did slow them down but it wasnt the best to use in that situation i think.
Ailia you shouldnt expect you could get the kill just because the enemy is in a bad situation. A cornered mouse might still bite a cat.
Finally LIyr you shouldnt of waited for Ailia to step in for the kill. You should of struck while the iron was hot." Silver said only to see all three of them lower their heads in thought.
"I know what I said was a little irritating to hear but its best to fix these things early. If we face a boss and any of these things happen, it could be the death of you." Sighing Silver continued to speak to explain why he was telling them the flaws of what they did.
Everyone thought over what Silver said and realized he meant good by what he was saying but Emy wondered why he said what he did about Liz's totem.
"Silver. Liz's fire slowed down the zombie so it was helpfull." Emy pointed out in a low voice that was hard to hear.
Hearing her Liz also raised her head as she wanted to also know his reasoning. She was fine with accepting what he said but she still wanted to know deep down.
"Zombies most of the time dont feel pain so fire will melt the skin but it wont help in creating pain to distract its target. Your Kittens are a good example of elemental weaknesses since you froze the Zombies bodys and made them stiff and hard to move. Fire dose still do damage but that attack looked like a AOE so it's best to use on multiple targets.
"Liz what other elements can your totems spew out and how much mana do they use." Silver asked now that the three didnt look so down.
"I can only use fire right now as well as some healing spells." Liz said in a timid voice as she thought Silver would be disappointed when he heard her.
Smiling lightly, Silver nodded his head and accepted what Liz said. He never for one second thought that she would have more spells for damageing the enemy. She was a healer after all.
"Just keep your Mana for healing for now and dont worry about attacking our targets."
After waiting for a few more minutes to let everyone catch their breath and let the events run through their minds, Silver stood up from where he took a seat. Seeing him stand up, the rest of the group realized that their short break was over and also got up and prepared for the continuation of their dungeon crawl.
The first floor of the dungeon was filled with zombies that often stood in groups of 3 with the rair occurrence of a group of 5 to 6. When they ran into these groups Rianna and Rachel would also step in to help in controlling the battle. Silver never moved in to help unless Emy or Liz were targeted as neither of them had attacks that could be used in close combat.
After traveling in a maze of corridors that led to many rooms that house the dead and undead. Silvers group travled for close to a hour before stumbling upon a set of stairs that led downwards. It didnt take them long to realize it led to the second floor of the dungeon. Takeing another small break to catch their breath, Silver walked over to Liz to talk about how she planned to use her skill points that she gained from leveling up.
After exploring the first floor Silver's group ran into a total of 27 zombies and that allowed Liz, Ailia, LIyr, and Cristy to reach level 2 and Kaiya to reach level 3.
Silver wasnt worryed about Kaiya as she already had a path in mind and he also didnt want to bother with Ailia, LIyr, and Cristy so that only left Liz.
"Liz can we talk." Silver said while motioning for Liz to follow him away from the group a little.
Liz followed behind him with worry in her heart after hearing Silvers words. The way he said he wanted to talk with her made her feel like something bad was going to happen in the next couple of minutes.
After walking about 20 feet from the group Silver turned around and got ready to speak but before he could, Liz beat him to it.
"I dont know what I did wrong but i promise to do better."
"Liz what are you talking about. I just wanted to ask about how you were distributing you points." Silver replyed a little confused.
"Really?" Liz asked unsure if she should believe her ears.
Nodding his head, Silver looked at the girl in front of him with a soft gaze to try and help her relax.
"So how are you distributing your points after leveling?" Silver asked again as they only had a few minutes before they would make their way to the second floor of the dungeon.
"I'm not sure actually. I was going to look into it after i logged out." Liz replyed while looking down at the ground.
"How about Intellect then. Both your heals and elemental damage will get a boost if this game is the same as the ones I use to play." Silver said out loud while getting lost in his train of thought.
"Wait, cant you look at your skills to see what they use as a stat for their damage?" Silver said after remembering how he decided to distribute his points.
"You can?" Liz asked before looking at her status page and going wide eyed after seeing this small detail that she missed before.
"So... What is the main stat that it recommends?" Silver asked with a amused expression after seeing Liz react the way she did.
"They all are based off Intellect." Liz said while putting all her points into her desired stat.
Now that Liz had distributed her points and Silver had a chance to talk with Liz away from the others he decided it was about time he asked her about something that was bugging him ever since it happened.
"Liz can we-"
"Are you two done yet. We should head to the next floor as soon as possible." Silver was about to talk with Liz about what happened in the library when Kaiya walked over to get them so they could continue onto the next floor of the dungeon.
Sighing, Silver looked over to his sister before nodding at her with a fake smile.
Liz looked at him for a moment before also looking at Kaiya and doing the same. Although she was curious about what Silver was about to say, she figured it wasnt important as he didnt ask for more time to talk with her about it.
After walking back to the group, Kaiya and LIyr proceeded to lead the group to the second floor of the dungeon.
The second and third floor of the dungeon where also filled with nothing but Zombies and they sadly did not run into any floor bosses so there wasnt any extra loot for them to grab before the boss on the fourth floor.
Thanks to the combined efforts of the group and abundant amount of zombies from the three floors, the lowest level in the group right before the first boss was level 3. Although the experience was diluted do to the abundance of people in their group, they still killed close to 90 zombies combined from the three floors and Silver and Rachel didnt often get into the fights so they wouldnt steal experience from the rest of the group. Although this might of been a bad thing as there levels didnt rise at all, it also helped the base level of the group go from level 1 to level 3 so it would help in the bigger picture.
