Chapter 98 - Memories of a Forgotten Past

Marcus stood dazed, gazing at the horizon. The city that had been in ruins only moments before was now thriving and alive. The gray and dead desert had been transformed into mountains full of vegetation, and the sky, once covered by thick storm clouds, was bursting with colors, stars, and other celestial bodies. It was so unreal that for a second Marcus thought he had traveled to another planet or even back in time.

'What just happened? Have I been transported to another Hidden Realm? No, that's not possible. And why isn't the sunlight affecting me?' As the questions popped into his head, Marcus turned and looked at the Asrakian half-breed next to him.

Since he couldn't use Telepathy to communicate, he tried to get his attention by waving or tapping him on the shoulder. But the man made no response at all. He just stood there, still as a statue, his eyes fixed on the horizon and his arms outstretched in praise of the sun.
