Triven's figure was seen as a blurred shadow as he moved through the city. The ranger was fast but silent. He jumped between the rooftops of houses and buildings without making a sound as he searched the surroundings for the creatures that had infiltrated the capital.
He directed his strength to his legs and quickly leaped from the house he was in, to the top of a bell tower that stood a few streets away from a small market square in the plebeian quarter. He remained crouched on the roof, concentrated and sharpened his senses as much as he could.
Immediately, Triven's mind was assaulted by a vast amount of information coming from all directions. The smell of burning wood that wafted across the eastern side of the capital, the crackling of embers, the howls and roars of beasts along with the sound of clashing weapons and the momentary explosions coming from the western gate. He ignored all those smells and sounds that were irrelevant to him, focusing only on what he sought.
