Chapter 3 - Back Again

Ah, Keira grunted as she slowly opened her eyes. She saw a familiar slower beside her bed. Keira was slightly stunned as she quickly jumped back, but she looked closer. The last time she ever saw this plant was when she was a child.

"Did I really?" Keira looked at her hands to see that they were usually small. She really did return to the past. However, she felt no joy or sadness, strange.

Keira immediately got up from her bed as she dashed to the porch of her cottage to see a familiar person sitting there with her long white kimono. Keira wanted to cry so much, but there were no tears and a straight and cold face. Keira walked up to the woman as she looked at her calm face.

"Mother?" Keira called out to her.

"Welcome back Keira," her mother smiled as she gave Keira a warm hug. If she didn't have a child, you'll mistaken her for a 19-year-old person. Her mother was just too beautiful.

Keira looked at her mother with dead eyes, however, her mother just sighed as she pinched Keira's cheeks.

"I didn't think that you'll awaken as the Green Diamond so soon," Keira's mother pouted as she looked at her daughter.

"What do you mean by that mother?" Keira asked slightly nervous but surprised. How did her mother know about Diamonds?!

"I know about Diamonds because your father was one and I was his subordinate the Emerald," Keira's mother confessed as her long green hair floated as the wind blew.

"And your eyes have the mark of a Diamond, they look like jewels," her mother pointed out with a graceful tone.

"I see…."

"I also know we died in our past life," Keira's mother admitted again as she looked at Keira who was slightly confused. Who actually was her mother?

"Then mother we must leave here immediately, we're not strong enough to face them," Keira warned as she grabbed her mother's sleeve tugging it.

"You think with a person like a high dark elf monarch as your Pearl we would run away from some mere cultivators," Keira's mother smiled slightly as she looked at Keira's left side.

"It seems you're smart for an Emerald," the dark elf appeared in a layer of smoke as his green eyes stared at Keira's mum.

"What can I say? I am the wife of the Green Diamond after all," She shrugged with a smug look on her face.

"Chrona, that's your name right," the dark elf looked at Keira's mum with a straight face.

"Yes, I presume that the formal Green Diamond Pearl told you," Keira's mum replied.

"Indeed and my name is Olfivilous," the dark elf vowed down as he introduced himself.

"Then I leave my daughter's training in your care."

"We'll save this discussion for later. But first, we have a city to destroy," Chrona muttered in a deadly tone.

Chrona then stretch out her fair hand to Keira who was wondering what her mother was going to do. However, it seems like her mother she knew is much more different.

Keira just sighed as she placed her fair 5 five-year-old palm on her mother's hand.

Then all of a sudden they disappeared. Once they reappeared Keira was feeling dizzy, but she held it in.

Below her was the city, where all their suffering began.

How did they appear here in a short amount of time? It would mostly take a month for a person to travel through the forest since there was always danger.

What's more shocking was that they were flying!!

They were actually flying! Keira was just shocked as she had a confused look on her face. Meanwhile, her mother who was looking at her daughter found it cute.

'Was mother a cultivator?' Keira thought as she looked at her mother who's face then became cold, which caused Keira to shiver a little. Because she felt no cultivator energy from her mother.

"Creatures would always be the same," Chrona snorted as she looked down on the City.

The sky started to turn green as a massive and terrifying pressure was released from Chrona's body to the entire surroundings

All the people in Xiaweng City could feel the threatening pressure released on them.

Just who offended who?

A group of cultivators flew towards the person making this terrifying pressure, and it was an extremely unworldly beautiful woman. She had fair beautiful skin which fitted her slender and beautiful body. Her long beautiful emerald hair swaying left and right and her bright green eyes that looked like she was out for blood. And beside her was a delicate and beautiful young girl with the same features but seemed to be much more beautiful than the woman.

The reason why there were a lot of cultivators in the city is that Xiaweng City is no small city. It was one of the most populated and popular city in the Canglan Continent holding about 200 million people and most of them were nobles. Many people would come to Xiaweng to visit their crystal clear lake for a vacation Which was known for increasing one's cultivators level. So there were many buildings placed for outsiders to rest and also many shops were placed in Xiaweng for selling unique things. So most people there were powerful people.

But when they felt this pressure, their power was akin to nothing. Like a deity and an ant. Even if there were hundreds or thousands, one flick of the diety's hand could kill them all.

"Please calm down dear fellow cultivator," a fair old man with bright black eyes said trying to ease the situation.

Chrona's eyes glowed bright green as the pressure she released increased by a fold. Everyone felt like they couldn't breathe.

"Senior, may I ask…..who offended you," the old man asked again as he looked at the beautiful lady.

"I want everyone here to die," she responded as her voice boomed for the whole city to hear her. Then over thousand to hundred of thousands of bright green crystals appeared behind her. All of them were long up to 9 feet tall and they surrounded her.

"Senior pls calm down we have never seen you before so why would you want to kill everyone?" a middle-aged man protested.

"I just find you all distasteful in my eyes. So be sweet and die for me," Chrona smirked as all the crystals started to hail down on the city.

The city was protected by a very strong barrier which gave the people some comfort in their hearts. No normal person unless they were Ensoulment Realm cultivator could break the barrier. But their smirks turned into pale faces. The barrier immediately shattered in a few minutes. It couldn't even last the attacks from her.

Their face looked in horror as the beautiful woman seemed not to stop attacking.

"All cultivators gather around to stop her!"

"Yeah!!!!"

As all of the cultivators ruched to stop Chrona, 5 huge figures appeared right before them and used their huge hands to smash 30 cultivators down making them look like a squashed fly.

All the other cultivators began to tremble.

Before them 5 huge monsters about 60 feet tall. They looked like plants but their faces were extremely terrifying to look at and rows of sharp teeth could be seen.

______________

"Destroy the city."

Once Chrona commanded them they started to move forward

The monsters mover their long hands in synchronicity as they smashed their way through the hoard of cultivators to the city.

There were more than a 100 million cultivators in the city. The strongest once there were only golden core cultivators and the weakest was a Body tempering realm.

The people were trying to flee from the shards of crystals that rained down on them. And something strange happened to those who were near the people killed by those crystals. Their hands and feet started to turn green on their bodies as crystals formed around them.

People screamed in horror as in a mere minute their companions were turned into bright green statues. If not for the five huge monsters they would have picked up the crystal statues, but they had no time for that since their lives were at stake.

However, Chrona wasn't going to let them off. The plant-looking monsters stopped moving as they stood in their positions. The 100 million people who were still alive continued to run away with all their might. Those who were cultivators continued to ask themselves which great person was offended, that they came to unleash their wrath in the city.

Chrona watched the rest of the humans who were fleeing, and there were still some who thought there was a chance to defeat her.

And a familiar enemy could be seen in the crowd trying to run away with their money.

The Meng family! Meng Shilou, Meng Jiashan, and her little devil Mend Sheili were all here, running away using their servants for protection.

"Mummy their not dead yet," Keira frowned as she looked at the frightened family.

"Don't worry Mama would make sure to get rid of them," Chrona consoled her daughter as she looked back at the people screaming for their lives. They're not worth it for her to use her full power.

Keira who heard her mother's words felt at ease when she saw that their subordinates they used as sacrifices dragged them down with them. Those selfish bastards deserve it but their ends were too light.

"Don't worry, if we can't torture their body then we'll torture their souls."

Keira watched emotionlessly at the slaughter happening before her. Those people in her past life were all aware of her suffering and her mother's existence was kept a secret since Meng Shilou didn't want any powerful family to take her away. These people would see her walking in the streets with her skinny body as she begged for food, but none of them decided to give her a helping hand.

There was only one person, but he died by murder for some unknown reason.

Cute giggles could be heard from her, she was satisfied, but their still not done. However, Keira too kept on wondering how her mother was so powerful? How was she unable to save them both in her past life? Why couldn't she oppose Meng Shilou? 'It's better to save these questions for later,' she thought.

As the people who were running away from the disaster reached half a mile away they crashed into an invisible barrier blocking their way to leave. Behind them, the ground began to tremble furiously revealing large crystal roots that sprouted from the ground as they enveloped the entire Xiaweng City and some too were heading their way. Some people decided to disperse others too decided to fight their way through this. The roots attacked at random as no one was spared, not the old, not the children, not the young. If they fly the roots would stretch and pull you down back to the earth as they were drained of their blood and vitality, resulting in death. The atmosphere had a strong stench of blood and the and the land was dyed red.
