Vladimir asked the moment we were in the safe confines of my house. It was just a little shack made of blocks, wood, and thatched roof in the far south from the packhouse.
Lyander and Terishia's house was not far from mine either.
Vladimir's eyes took in the simple décor of my room, and I hastily grabbed the scattered things . . . everywhere. It was funny how I cleaned once a month, and the guests decided to visit when the house looked like a dumpster.
I was never embarrassed with the state of my house before –– until now, that is.
Then something hit me.
He was a pureblood, the highest status there was in the Kingdom of Razim. He had a castle, hundreds of servants, and probably another castle to store his enormous fortunes.
While I . . . I had this shack and this small piece of land. I lorded over my plants in the backyard and probably had a few hundred gil in my name.
