"W-wha . . . what happened here?" I asked the moment we returned in our territory and was slapped on the face of the news that our pack had just been attacked.
Jax and Brenda were dead, and Terishia was severely injured. Two of our best warriors were gone, and the war hadn't even started yet.
"What happened?" Lyander asked. His face was grim, and his fists were shaking. He radiated nothing but killing intent as we laid our eyes on the sorry state of Terishia lying on the infirmary bed.
She was unconscious, and her whole body was covered in gauzes drenched in blood. Though she was out of the rocks, that didn't stop us from wanting to tear her attackers into pieces.
I shook my head when my wolf wanted to push through my skin — furs blurring the fine hairs on my arms.
