Chapter 53 - Chapter 52

"Sweetheart…"

Despite failing to simmer down the cries inside her head or got rid of the existing fear inside her chest, Asami managed to smile sweetly towards her child who is well and breathing fine as she prayed.

Thank heavens…

She breathes another sigh of relief, holding back her tears from falling as her anxiety slowly disperses, little by little. She began to feel at ease.

He's safe…That's all she wants to know.

Jin tilts his head to the other side, concerned and his cheek unintentionally brushes against the man's gentle touch, whom he felt his ardent gaze burning holes to his face.

"Gwaenchana? (Are you okay?)"

Jin worriedly asks his mother after seeing her temperament was paler than she usually is. Is she sick? Is she hurt somewhere?

Bothered with concern, the young fellow hastily attempts to rise from his bed where he's currently been rolled up by his thick comforter and he's as stunned and as curious as everyone else as to why he woke up that way. His amethyst eyes glance above his left side, staring at the obvious culprit who blinks innocently down at him wearing his usual softened and tranquil expression.

Aigoo…

Hiro held Jin's head up close to him seeing him struggling with the fear of him straining his slender neck whilst his ears redden at the thought of his little sprout looking like a helpless silkworm wriggling nonstop on his grasp.

"You can sleep more," mumbles Hiro against the side of his head.

That was supposed to be the case if only there weren't any unwanted intruders who woke him up.

His thumb and forefinger unconsciously touch Jin's earlobe and his cold skin brought him warmth and coldness at the same time. He gently tugs his earlobe, playing it between his fingers as his lips brush against the side of Jin's head. He can make him feel at ease and nervous at the same time, and it's still a mystifying truth to him and his dark coves.

"G-Good evening, young master woo, I-It's an honor to be in your presence!"

The attendant bowed recklessly and took his chance to speak rather regretting it for the rest of his life. When he peeks up at the entitled man, his lips remain parted in disbelief as he's lost for further words. Sulma...Is he dreaming right now?

That body built.

Holy shit, it looks unreal…

Even his heart was racing unbelievable inside his chest, delighted and mortified, a frustrating combination. He should be able to hold and pass down this honor to his future children and their children, that a low-life like him had been blessed to share a presence with his kingship in one room…thought he was almost killed.

The bell attendant nearly chokes and dies from his saliva at the reality he's in, his head still in cloud nine.

He's almost killed…

Almost.

Killed.

Hiro shut his eyes close, his eyebrow twitching in annoyance.

What a nuisance…

Jin presses his lips against the comforter around him as he eyes Hiro with bewilderment. Anywhere he goes everyone seems to recognize him.

Why is that?

Does the Woos hold that much of an honor? As far as he knew business companies aren't really paid attention, especially the people who are involved with it. He doesn't even know the name of the CEO of his favorite clothing brand.

"Help me u-up," Jin whispered back at him, flustered over the eyes around them who are spectating them from the distance. But how could he suggest him to sleep in more in front of his mother and those people? He will look spoiled and mannerless if that's the case.

Jin pouts confidently, aware that no one could see beneath the comforter.

He, too, has an image to protect.

He takes a quick and brief glimpse over his mother by the door, his eyes gleaming at his targeted object by her hand. His spirit suddenly churns alive.

That box…

He knew the box's design felt familiar to him, especially after seeing its engraved logo.

It's his favorite cake!

Suddenly his chin slipped out of the comforter and a warm and wide smile stretches across his lips, his eyes beaming with warmth like a breathtaking canvas of a summer field, and the helpless hearts present by the door were mercilessly struck by his blinding light.

"Help me up," Jin whispered shouted gleefully at Hiro, his eyes never leaving the box in his mother's hand, which his mother slowly lifts and shakes slightly beside her full smiley face before she turns around and talks to one of the attendants who's been staring at him with a dumbfounded face.

Hm?

Hiro frowns in disapproval, covering Jin's small face with his large hands, wanting to reverse the time to how it was an hour ago. Where he had him all to himself…

He silently groans in dismay as his somber eyes follow where his little sprout has been looking, that even the forlorn expression on his face has been completely ignored.

His vein cracks afterward.

Black hair, black eyes.

He felt his thinned patience was slashed thoroughly in offense.

A living person…

Hiro left the bed, bothered as his mood has been spoiled. He presses his knee against the mattress before he bends down towards the bed and pulled his little sprout close to the edge, then he lifts his small body in his arms, just as what he requested from him.

Now what?

His slate black eyes bore against the side of the little fellow's face, expecting and waiting, "…"

*Thud*

A heavy sound of something falling against the floor startled everyone in the apartment and brought each and everyone's eyes near the entrance door of Jin's room, revealing a person dressed in staff uniform shivering alarmingly on the floor.

The attendant's face was drenched in sweat and tears one couldn't distinguish which from which. His eyes were wide in horror and half of his body was attached to the floor, looking like he was in need of medical help.

The once solemn ambiance that was slowly filling the air vanishes and was followed by his bewailing—panicked cry that blankets the now quiet and suffocating atmosphere.

"H-He's…H-He is…H-HE'S!..."

A chill ran down Asami's spine as she felt the cold and dark aura behind her, swirling furiously in rage from her child's room.

W-What's this strong bloodlust she felt?

"J-Jun!"

The other male attendant calls out to the frightened man on the floor, his expression as horrified as him, signaling his friend not to move and keep his mouth shut at all cost.

Jin flinches slightly, his sleepiness and drowsiness were now forgotten as he thought his name was called out, which surprised him for a bit.

He also came to study the person on the floor and his eyes slump in worry. Is he okay? He looks paler than his mother.

Hiro's jaw clenches and with gritted teeth he carefully places Jin at the edge of the bed, telling him to stay put before he strides directly towards the door, leaving him for a while, gone the warmth that once bathe inside his eyes, leaving only the cold remains of his held back insanity whom no one knew in this room.

Kai officially left Jin's room and walks past Asami and the attendant who seems to be calling out to his companion.

Seeing how his face had dangerously darkened even more and how his eyes were glowing with murderous intent, Asami hurriedly followed him and grip him by his shoulder. She gulps, shaken at the feeling that what she did just now was the most right thing to do the world can ask for.

Hiro's hasty steps halt in respect for her, but his empty eyes saunter and never left the insignificant pest before him, his dark shadow looming over him on the floor and he remained unfazed despite the person nearly fainted upon glancing up at him.

"F-FORGIVE M-M-ME!" the person cries, memories start flashing back inside his head about his brother…His brother who served this man.

His brother who never once returned for years.

Kai Hiroshima grits his teeth, his fingers and palms were starting to itch again as his boiling temper starts to rise, triggered to an extent.

His eternal peace was disturbed.

"What's the matter?" Asami speaks as calmly as possible, cursing her fiancé inside her head, Harashi, your child is harassing our people. Goodness…

"He's scaring Jin." Hiro pointed out and he sounded like he was snitching someone who stole his candy from him, displeased and irritated.

Never had he felt so offended.

Asami's lips part in surprise, too surprised "That…" Who's scaring who from who?

It's starting again…Oh no.

Jin lies down on the bed again then carelessly rolled his body to escape from the comforter that's wrapped around him without realizing he was nearly reaching the edge, and before he could squeeze his eyes shut and welcome the upcoming pain to emerge by his clumsiness, a strong embrace was swift to catch him followed by a distressing heavy sigh, one that's rather too familiar.

Jin blinks again in uncertainty, his heart pounding nervously.

Hiro?

How did he…

He's sure he was outside the door a second ago.

Hiro carefully places him back on the bed and his upset eyes shoot dangers towards the crying attendant again in frustration.

"He's frightened to extent he'd harm himself."

He roars like a king declaring someone for treason, his deep voice vibrating against the walls of his room as it reaches painfully to everyone's ears.

The expressions the attendants wore and his mother scream 'what' in shouty capitals, astounded as their souls were blown away by the wind.

"That's not it…"

Jin interferes, shaking his head as he was getting worried at the sight of everyone's confusion and horrification. For a second he applauds himself for not stuttering.

If this continues Hiro will surely be misunderstood as a bad person…He can't let that happen to his gentle cougar.

"Please calm down…"
