"Who are the elders?" Nevaeh inquisitively asked as she followed Engel down the hallway leading to the library.
"Just some annoying peasants you don't need to know." He blandly replied.
"Peasants?" Nevaeh muttered to herself. Those so-called peasants were angels, or were they not?
Nevaeh peeked a glance at Engel's face. His countenance was solemn and stoic, and there was no need to guess he wasn't happy about the unexpected visit to his home because it was written on his face.
But what she didn't know was whose presence angered him more.
Engel seemed displeased seeing Laila, and he had always seemed so when she had prior mentioned Laila dropping when he wasn't around.
There seemed to be some feud between them, and she wondered what it was. Was he just angry with Laila or with the whole realm?
