Meanwhile, at Grandma Neir house.
(1 hour before Echo left Siren)
Grandma Neir: hm..that's weird I didn't find the Tree of Life book. I remember that I've kept it here in this library.
Cair: Are you sure you're keeping it here, Grandma Neir??
Grandma Neir: Positive. hm..I must have put it somewhere else then.
While looking for the Tree of Life book, Cair notices there's a book with a dark red color that looks like blood. And he could hear a whisper coming from that book, as if it calls out to him.
whisper~ Cair...
Cair: hm..What is this book??
The title of the book is called "The Cursed of the Necro Blood".
Cair: (This book..)
Cair immediately takes the book and hides it inside his sweater. A piece of paper comes out from the book and falls onto the floor. Cair picked it up and he was surprised..
Cair: This is..? Grandma Neir, look at this?
Grandma Neir: What? Did you find the book??
Cair: No. But, I believe this is the picture of the Tree of Life. Am I right??
Grandma Neir: oh yeah, you're correct. I've forgotten that I've done some spells to hide the book inside this paper. Can you summon back the book for me??
Cair: Can't you do it instead? Since you're the one who does the spell.
Grandma Neir: You don't know the unhide spells?
Cair: I know. I just don't want to summon it.
Grandma Neir: Why do you keep acting like this every time I talk about the spells?
Cair: 😒 (Here comes the nagging)
Cair turns away his face as he is reluctant to undo the spell to summon back the Tree of Life book.
Grandma Neir: You're the Pure Blood Necromancer aren't you?? which is soon going to be the heir of the Necromancer family. A simple spell like this should be easy for you.
Cair's face dislikes it when Grandma Neir calls him the Pure Blood. Cair's cheerful face wiped out from his face.
Cair: Do not call me, the Pure Blood, Grandma Neir. I dislike it.
Grandma Neir: In the old days people would jump in joy if they knew they were one of the Pure Blood Necromancers. Pure Blood is the most respective Necromancer in the history as we defeated many evil spirits. Even the strong, legendary spirits which are very rare to find were also defeated by our ancestors.
Cair: That's in the old days. 🙄
Grandma Neir: Whatever you're saying, our family lineage is coming from the Pure Blood Necromancer. The blood that flows in our veins shows that the energy spirits that we inherit from our ancestors are from the first Necromancer. And that makes us the Pure Blood. You should be proud of it.
Cair: There's nothing to be proud of. I'm sick of getting labeled as pure blood. Why can't we just be normal, like other people. I just want to be a normal farmer guy who lives in the countryside, that's all.
Grandma Neir: It is not your decision to choose what you want to be. Your fate has been decided. You are the heir of the Pure Blood Necromancer. You cannot run from your fate, ever!!
Cair: There are so many things that have been sacrificed because of our stupid lineage. I just want it to stop. Can't we stop the pure blood lineage already? Why must we continue?
Grandma Neir: You want it to stop!. How about your parents? Your siblings? Your friends? Like I said it's your fate. If you refuse it, I can't guarantee what will happen to them.
Cair becomes silent for a moment.
Grandma Neir: sigh..listen Cair, not all of them are gifted like you,..some of us even if we're from the pureblood we are still..hm,..very weak. That's why we need someone like you, the gifted Pure Blood Necromancer to protect those who are weak like us. That's why we still need to continue this lineage. Do you want that incident to happen again?
Cair remains silently stunned by Grandma Neir's words.
Grandma Neir: sigh..Fine, if you still insist not to summon it, I guess I'll do it..
Grandma Neir tries to summon the book but, suddenly her knees become weak and she kneels down. Cair immediately catches and holds Grandma Neir's hand to avoid her from falling down.
Cair: A-Are you okay, Grandma Neir?
Grandma Neir: I-I'm okay. ha~Well,..this is what it looks like when a poor old lady with a little energy spirit is going to summon a book because her grandson is unable to do it because as he said "he just wants to be a normal farmer guy"
Cair: 😒😮💨
Grandma Neir words sarcastically point directly to his face. Cair then realizes that Grandma Neir is pretending to be unwell, in order to trick him into summoning the book.
Cair: Don't pull an old trick old hag. I know what you're trying to do.
Grandma Neir flicked Cair's forehead.
Cair: Ouch!! What was that for??
Grandma Neir: You just called me an old hag??
Cair: Because you're trying to trick me into summoning the book even though I said "No".
Grandma Neir: If you don't want me to call you that, just summon that book!!
Cair: (heavy sigh) haaahh~ Fine!..But, this is going to be the last time I'll do it.
Grandma Neir: low voice~ No, it's not.
Cair: What did you say?
Grandma Neir: Nothing. 😅
Cair: hmph 😒
Cair gives Grandma Neir a bombastic side eye as he knows Grandma Neir's motive which she still insists to make him the next heir of the Pure Blood Necromancer even though he rejected it. However, Cair still helps Grandma Neir to summon the book.
Cair: "Hide yourself like a pure lady, to hide the secret that lies within, Come on reveal yourself, to feed the thirsty reader"
Tree of Life books appear floating in the air and Cair grabs the book.
Grandma Neir: Well, wasn't that so easy (chuckle)
Cair: 😒 (this old hag) Here's the book.
Grandma Neir takes the book from Cair's hands.
Grandma Neir: Thank you, dear~
Cair: 😮💨
Okay, let's go back. They must have been waiting for us.
Grandma Neir and Cair arrived at the Secret room.
Klein: So, did you find the book?
Grandma Neir: Yes, we did. Cair found it.
Cair: 🙄
Klein: Thank goodness. Hopefully there's a remark on how to get inside the Hooting Forest.
Cair: Where's Mayr and Rein.
Klein: They're outside.
Cair: Let me call them.
Klein: Thanks, Cair.
Meanwhile, outside of Grandma Neir house.
Rein: Are you okay, Mayr?
Mayr: I am not. I keep on remembering Siren's face when she is so scared to enter the forest. It's all my fault. If I didn't push her to enter the forest none of this would happen. But, now she's gone.
Rein: It's not your fault. Don't worry too much, I'm sure the guys will figure out how to find her.
Mayr feeling so sad and guilty about what happen to Siren. Feeling guilty has given Mayr some ideas.
Mayr: I just remembered something.
Rein: What is it??
Mayr: What if we try to track Siren location using GPS?
Rein: But, her phone is here 😅
Mayr: We can't call ghostbuster, right?
Rein: haha I don't think the spirit is a ghost.
Mayr: What if we chop down the trees in the Hooting Forest?
Rein: I-I don't know about that. Aren't you afraid that maybe you'll make the forest spirits..ehm..angry?
Mayr: sigh..then, what else can we do..😞
While the ladies converse with each other suddenly, a fox appears in front of them which captures their attention by surprise.
Rein: Wha-? What is that?
Mayr: What??
Rein: Tha-That thing??
Mayr: hm? Looks like a fox.
Mayr mesmerized by the fox feature.
Mayr: Wow.
Rein: It's so cute~
Mayr: yeah..do you think it belongs to villagers?
Rein: Not sure about that. But, the important thing, is it tame?
Mayr: I'm not sure. Let me try calling it.
Mayr stretch out her hand to call out the fox. The fox slowly walked towards her. And then she grabs the fox and pet him.
Mayr: (chuckle) I did it. She is tame. (petting)
Rein: Well, I don't think it's a "she" but, rather it's "he".
The fox covers its private part with its tail and buried his face at Mayr's chest.
Rein: haha how cute~
Mayr: (chuckle) aww~ I guess he's shy. sigh..I think I'm feeling a bit better. Thank you, little one.
Rein: That's good, Mayr 😊
While both of them are playing with the fox, Cair comes towards them.
Cair: Mayr, Rein, we have found that book. Come on in, and..eh? what you are holding Mayr?
Mayr: A fox. It's very gentle.
Cair suddenly feels a strong energy spirit coming from the fox. He has a bad feeling about that fox. Without getting panicked he asked Mayr to let go of the fox.
Cair: Leave the fox here first. We need to discuss about that book.
Rein: You found the Tree of Life book?
Cair: Yes. Let's go in.
Mayr: Can't I bring it along? It's so cute and tame.
Cair: erm..I don't think it's a good idea. You know er-erm..Grandma Neir, she-she is allergic to furry animals.
Suddenly, the fox immediately grabs the pendant on Mayr's neck and runs away.
Mayr: ah-Wait little fox! That's my pendant.
Cair: Let me catch him. Both of you get inside first.
Rein: You're going alone? Because I think that foxes are heading towards the Hooting forest.
Mayr: yeah, it's dangerous.
Cair: Don't worry I'll be okay. You can find out how to get into the Hooting Forest. Let's meet at the Hooting forest later.
Rein: Okay, Cair.
Mayr: Be careful.
Cair: I will..
Cair immediately runs to chase the fox.
Cair: (That's weird. I could sense strong energy spirits coming from that fox)
Cair arrived at the entrance of the Hooting forest. His first step is to reach Hooting forest ground but, once he did nothing happens.
Cair: I guess the spirit realm really is not open during normal days.
During normal days the Hooting forest is just a normal forest unless during the full moon path to the spirit realm is open.
Cair starts walking into the forest searching for the fox to get Mayr's pendant back. After walking for almost an hour, he caught a glimpse of a human walking in the forest alone.
Cair: Is that, Siren? (shout) Siren! Sirennn!
Cair called out to Siren's name a few times but no answer. That got him thinking that maybe he was just seeing things. Suddenly, someone's hand reaches out and touches Cair's shoulder,..
Cair: uwaaaahhh!!
