Chapter 8 - what's happening

As always elma arrived an hour earlier to school. After revising the day's subjects people begun arriving too.

Soon it was time for the morning lessons and suprisingly Ben arrived earlier and that too with a bandaged leg. He limped towards the seat beside her and suddenly she wondered why she was coming her way since he so didn't want to sit by her again.

She was about to stop him when she looked around and noticed the chairs were occupied and that the Computing teacher was already at the door she made him sit unwillingly.

Hey Elma.

Elma looked at him with a what do you want face. she was surprised at how he suddenly turned polite to her and how odd but good her name sounded from him.

She ignored him and the class begun.

Today the class was just like it was for her back when Ben wasn't sitting by her.

And that again got her surprised.

She thought maybe he was putting on

is this what you want face just to get her worried so she ignored him and decided to not ask him anything and just allow him sit by her after all this would make Auntie Gladis happy.

But then things didn't go as she wanted since each day Ben would come and sit by her and he wouldn't talk and he frequently absented himself from school and whenever he returned it was with a new injury bigger and worse than the previous ones.

She had begun to get worried and it was awkward sitting by someone who will wince in pain with every twist and turn. His situation was worth worrying about she had tried asking him about it once yet he didn't answer and it has put her in a fixed state.

She once saw him fall from his seat after rejecting her offer to help him get up and this caused everyone staring and laughing at him including his so called friends this made her wonder if lady was going to do the same with her if she was the one in this sorry State.

His friends had stopped walking with him and after school he'll be picked up by a group of body guard's.

They made it seam as if he was being kidnapped.

Once Elma decided to follow the group of men who placed Ben at the back of the car hapazardly

She got to the boot and heard Ben's cries due to the force.

For a moment she thought what was wrong with her but then after a while of thinking she thought of what she was doing and she made a lot of sense out of it after all she's doing this to save an endangered person who was going to die if she didn't do this she didn't want to talk to any of his friends about this sinc they no longer looked like the friends they were to him at first.

As for lady she had not been to school for sometime now and she was even worried about her friend.

Tchchchch the car came to a stop in front of a huge and magnificent building it windows were covered in glass the was plastered with caramel shells. It was dull in terms of light but it beauty almost caused a gasp from the girl at the backseat. The men are n black grabbed Ben once again causing Elma to look at them with disgust was this how he was treated by his gaurds? poor guy she sighed.

She saw them enter the mansion and silently and carefully she followed them if the exterior was magnificent the interior was mouth dropping it looked like an ancient ball room with heavy chandeliers and massive and exquisite paintings it was a sight to behold.

She saw them aid the limping Ben to sit in a wheelchair she wondered why Ben wasn't talking or even complaining was he so used to this sort of treatment that he is mentally tormented or did he just want to remain silent cause for all she saw his lips aren't taped.

She tip toed into the room the just road him int which looked as beautiful as the mansion and she hid behind one of the sofas.

Soon the sound of clinging shoes were heard it was definitely a female in heels.

Peered behind the table she hid behind and was surprised to see her one and only friend Lucy tied with a rope on the upper part and a band in her mouth as she force to say something as if Help cause that's what everyone would say in such a situation.
