Around eight in the morning, Onami and Prospounae went to the Rangers Department, there only one person had arrived. It was their new boss, Peter; the coordinator of all Forest activities in the south of the country. During the first few days, they were going to follow him in his activities, which for the most part consisted on him reading papers, then approving or denning the subject in it. In some rare occasions, they would go visit a park and check how the people there were doing; during the drive, Peter would tell them his most prized possession, a stash of more than one thousand jokes he knows; most of them about woods and squirrels. Prospounae does not catch a single one of them; he gets angry at Peter for his boss cannot remember details of important tasks but bad jokes he's got plenty. In one of the visits to the northern park under Peter's watch, they met another cavalier under training. He was wearing the same saint uniform as they were but its cloak was yellow instead of red.
On the first day of the Police internship, the four cavaliers were sent to the Central Precinct; Skael was there. He is the one in charge of the Cavaliers' interaction with the police department. In the first week he was going to send each one of them to other Cavaliers' patrol, so they could see how it worked and how it is supposed to be done. From that point, they would go to their patrols alone. His first intention was to send each one of them to a zone, but he decided to send them in pairs after discovering that Mikael, the boy who pushed him through a window, was there. Tius and Mikael went to the 2th precinct, in the West zone and Thysíla and Amniela went to the 4th, in the East zone. They went on their first patrol at same day, to know the neighborhood where they were going to work. Responsible for the boys, Haniel and Nuriel decided to take them on the first patrol together. The four Cavaliers walked around almost all of the West zone, the older ones introduce them to the people they knew and showed them places like markets and squares. Mikael was a smiley person, he quickly mingled with the residents of the area; one conversation with the owner of the local store and he already knew the name of her daughters, what they do for living and which college they went to; Tius on the other way, was not a sociable person. He was not into small talking, also did not care about the lives of strangers; in no way was he rude to one of them, he even tried to show interest, but, deep down, he only wanted to go home and sleep.
In the Firefighters Department, Asphela and Exoutius had a really good first day; everyone they met was nice and high spirits. There it was two Cavaliers working there; they introduced them to the headquarters and the other firefighters. During the first days, the only training they received was theoretical; rescue techniques, firefighting, land rescue and occurrences with dangerous products. They barely scratch the surface about these subjects, the real training for the cavaliers that join the firefighters is little different. Magiel was the Cavalier responsible for their training, also their Alchemy teacher, class that none of them was going to. She realized that none of its students had fitness for rescuing procedures, Asphela had a lot of brute mana in her and could use all of that to burst her speed but nothing else. Exoutius on the other hand, had less mana, but still an amazing quantity, and could use it to perform different types of attacks, fire ones being her favorites.
From all of the internships first days, those who chosen hospitals as internships had the busiest for sure. Hospitals can't stop to train new people, neither can the Firefighters department, but, in that one, if there are no emergencies to attend, they have an open window that allow the more experienced to pay attention to the new comers. Hospitals work differently, to be able to work in a hospital you need to be trained in medicine or nursing; since the cavaliers in internships are teenagers, the only thing they can do is follow procedures led by other Cavaliers. In the Saint Cloud Hospital, Laylah started to work with Liberiel, who was the Potions Class teacher. Before the announcement of the internships, Liberiel told her about it and recommended the same hospital where he worked. Knowing about her ability in the prepare of potions and her enjoyment of the classes, the Saint Cloud Hospital is a place where she would be able to train a lot under appropriate supervision.
The first day of Valon and Sotíel was rather different than Laylah's. There it was an accident involving two buses near the Anvia Memorial Hospital when the two cavaliers arrived; when they passed through the door, they saw several people on stretchers, some being taken to separated rooms and others being attended in the common areas of the hospital. They tried to talk with the receptionist but she saw their uniforms and, almost immediately, told them to wait because the Cavalier responsible for them was finishing helping someone and was going to talk with them. They sat down and waited. From the place where they were, they could see the uproar that the hospital became. Doctors and nurses came and went from all directions, when passing by one of the two boys, they looked them up and down, always with the same eyes. After Sotíel noticed, he started to feel uneasy, the stares and expression of those in white closes started to get to him and make him extremely uncomfortable. He turns to Valon and says: \\
—Hey, have you noticed people staring at us? \\
—Yes... \\
—Why is that? Do you think is the uniform? \\
—No... These eyes I know pretty well, they say "what is this trash doing here?". \\
Few moments later, Raphael emerges in the hospital. After hearing about the accident, the Paladin came flying to the hospital to help soften the situation the hospital was in. As soon as he walked in, he saw some injured people in the waiting room. \\
—Are all of the doctors busy? — He asked the receptionist. \\
—Yes, most part of them are with the more severe cases. As soon as the leave they will take care of the people here. \\
Raphael proceeded to the nearest injured person and started to work, his ability and powers were extremely impressive. He started to take care of the superficial wounds and small cuts; the process to heal this kind of injurie is relatively simple, it is almost alchemy, the only thing the Cavalier needs to do is place his mana in the wound and turn it into the damaged tissue. Raphael was able to do it fast and precise, almost effortlessly, he quickly finished the wounds on the first patience and went to the next one. While applying the same process to the other patient, Valon and Sotíel went to talk with him. \\
—Commander... — Raphael turned his head around and looked at the two boys without stop what he was doing before. \\
—Oh. Hi. What are you two doing here? Are you okay? \\
—Yes, we came for the internship. — Sotíel answered. \\
—Oh yes, the internships start today right? Wow... you two were not lucky on your first day. Liel must be coming soon, he will be your instructor. Now if you excuse me — He got up and started to walk to the next person close to him — I need to work, this place is chaos and I need to help. \\
Before the Paladin could reach the next patient, Valon approached him and said: \\
—Is there anything we can do to help? \\
—Well... — The Paladin looked around — For now... I'm not sure. Maybe if you ask the receptionist, she'll have something that you two can do. \\
—We already asked her but she told us to wait for the instructor. \\
—Then, in that case, there it isn't much you guys can do. Try to stay close to me and watch what I'm doing. Also try not to stay in anyone's way, everyone is in a rush and we don't want to bother them. \\
Raphael was about to start to procedure on another patient when a young doctor walked in and interrupted him. \\
—Hey, excuse me sir... It is alright, I'll take care of this patient. \\
—Don't you worry, I'll handle it. You can go to the others with worst injuries. — Raphael said gently smiling, but no one could see it since he was wearing a mask. \\
—No. — She firmly said — Trust me, let me handle all of this, You don't need to worry. I bet you have more import things to do. Leave this to the Doctors... \\
Everyone listening could feel a growing tension in the ambient. Raphael noticed and decided to pull back. \\
—Alright then, I'll let you handle it. \\
—I'm glad we agree. So, let's go. — She said to the patient. \\
—Well... I saw how he cured the other ones. — The patient said — If it is not a nuisance, I would like to go with him. It seems that he can solve my problems really fast... \\
The doctor glared at the man. \\
—Alright. You take care of him. \\
While Raphael was working, the doctor was staring at him and the two boys were staring at her. \\
—What are you looking at? — She said to them. \\
Suddenly, a man being carried in a stretcher, was brought to the hospital; he was unconscious and bleeding. The Doctor and Raphael were to first ones to react, they approached the paramedic and asked about the situation. \\
The man was one of the bus drivers, apparently, a kid ran into the street right on the path of one of the buses, the driver tried to avoid colliding with the kid and turned to one of his sides; the bus got out of control and ended up on the way to another bus that passed the intersection. During the crash, the driver's leg got stuck to the hardware, making it harder for him to be rescued; as soon as possible, the paramedics took him to the hospital. \\
—I'm going to take him to the emergency. —The doctor says. \\
—Ew... What happened to his rib? — Sotíel said with disgust. — That's not how it supposed to be, right? — He looked at Valon's ribs. — I think you should take a look at that. — He said to Raphael. \\
—What are you seeing? — The Commander asked. \\
As they walked together to the Emergency Room, Sotíel explained. \\
—Well, first, his leg is broken, almost shattered actually... \\
Raphael was going to start the healing process for bones when the doctor intervened. \\
—You can't touch him. We are going to take him to the ER and make the necessary to determinate possible injuries. \\
—I don't know if you'll have the time. One of the bones in his ribs is going places it shouldn't. — Sotiel said. \\
—Who are you kid? Why am I going to trust a boy who never even studied before? \\
—What is going on with his rib bones? — Raphael ignored the doctor and continued. \\
—Two of them are broken and curved inward, close to the heart. \\
—Which ones? \\
—The... third and fourth, I think... — He was behind the stretcher. — On the right... his left. \\
—What is going on here? How does he know that? — The doctor asked them, but the two still ignored her. \\
—Well... Sotíel's eyes are a little different than ours. — Valon started to explain — He can see things that we can't, like other wave... \\
—He can see things?... — The doctor looked extremely frustrated. She sat down in a chair next to them while waiting for Raphael to complete the process. \\
Healing a bone is way harder than closing superficial cuts. When a bone is broken, the area around it inflames; the first thing a Cavalier needs to do is to draw blood from the inflammation and use his own mana to put the bone in the place he needs. After that he starts to create fibrous tissue and cartilage between the two bone pieces that he wants to put together, slowly compact and hardening them until they reach a satisfactory state. From that point on, the blood starts to circulate normally in the area and the Cavalier can choose if he wants to continue to process or let the patient heal normally on its own. When healing another Cavalier, the doctor should always pay attention to the mana of its patient; depending on its state, it can make the healing process easier or harder.\\
At the end of the day, when the dust settled down and the doctors had a small time to breath, ValonVorum was in one of the corners watching the movement. Raphael, who just finished his work approached him and spoke. \\
—Did you like your first day? — Valon laughed a little. \\
—Well, it wasn't exactly what I was waiting for... but at least we will have a good history to tell. \\
—For sure... \\
They stood there in silence for a while until Valon saw the doctor from earlier. \\
—Can I ask you something? — Raphael nodded — Why does it look like they, especially her, don't like us? \\
—It does look like it... — Raphael gently smiled — Well... try imagining this. You have a dream, and to make it reality you study and dedicate yourself every single day, for years. You graduate in high school, go to college, studying every single day, just to have a chance to work at a hospital doing what you love and helping people. And then when you make it reality, some fifteen-year-old start to work at the same place as you without having to go through the same things. He can do things that you can't understand... and do the things that you can way faster than you. And all of that because he was born with magical powers that only a few people have. I don't know exactly how I would feel, but I would not be happy about it, that's for sure. — Raphael looked at Valon, he knew the kid understood his words. — But there are things that we can do to strengthen relationships with them, — Valon looked at him — studying is one of them. That's what I did... — Raphael gently smiled to the him, Valon smiled back. \\
—Wow Sir... You are way nicer than I thought... \\
—What do you mean? \\
—Well... when I met you... judging by how you looked like and the things Mikael said about you... with all respect, you looked like an a-hole, with all respect. But now talking to you, you are actually really cool. \\
—What did Mikael say about me?? \\
—It doesn't matter now... past is past. But I feel like I need to say, you looked like you were one of those people who get stressed by anything, but now after watching everything you did today... I can't say that anymore... with all respect... sir. \\
—Stressed... I guess I was a little stressed. — Raphael thought for a while. — Let me ask you something... How are you feeling? \\
—I don't know if I understood the question... Like feeling right now? If I'm sick or something? \\
—No... after you got the armor... how are you feeling? \\
—I'm fine... I think. \\
—If you notice any change in your personality, let me know. \\
—Ok... — Valon was a little scared. \\
—If you start to feel angry out of nowhere, stressed or anything like it. Immediately talk to me. \\
—Why is that? \\
—ValonVorum is not a common armor. It was not made in this country, so it wasn't made under our rules and regulation... Be careful, it is very aggressive... If your actions do not agree with Valon's wishes, it will try to change you... your personality, just like it did to me.
