Alvin could not remain there either. He had left the palace without proper permission and needed to return as soon as possible, but he needed answers first, which had been difficult since he could not find the one he was out here to find.
"Keep me away from them, and I will help you with two things." Damian bargained.
"There is nothing you can help me with—"
"There are a lot of things I can help you with. But if you do not hear me out, you are going to regret it. For the rest of your life."
"Do not tempt me." Alvin's tone still sounded dark. "Tell me what you know about Susan."
"Keep me away from them, and I promise—"
Alvin's hands tightened around his collar.
"Susan... the person who killed her," Damian said.
That caught Alvin's attention, and his brows furrowed.
