"Alright, Kai! Time for bed." My Mom says as she pokes her head into my room. I groan before turning off my game and getting in bed. "Good night, Dear. See ya tomorrow. Sleep well!" She says really quickly before turning out the lights and closing the door.
Hi. My name is Kai Ketchum, everyone simply calls me Kai, cz it's cool. I'm an eleven-year-old who's always dreamed of going on a grand adventure and making myself known as an amazing Pokémon Trainer, And I wanted to be the No1 surpassing the current no1, It's my dad, Ash Ketchum. And while I can't exactly do that without a Pokémon, tomorrow Professor Garry is supposed to swing by with the starters of the region.
I wake up to Mr. mime on my face. Typical Grandma, sending Mimy to wake me up. Maybe I can at least avoid the-! Nevermind.
I roll out of the bed, with psychic attacks, and get ready for the day. I put on black pants with a black stripe running down the outer side of both legs. I also wear a matching black T-shirt, with my Blue hoodie above it, to make the full outfit. I slip on my black, fingerless gloves on both hands. I pop on a pair of Blue sneakers with a black outsole, and a Blue and black stripe on either side of each shoe, with the black stripe being above and at the back end of the white stripe. I sweep my Black hair off to the side.
Ready for what the day may bring, I race down the stairs and into the kitchen, where Mom's making breakfast. She's wearing a black tank top, a red double waist side buttons pleated skirt, black thigh-high stockings, and black sneakers with a pink semi-circle on them. And her signature dark pink hat with a black hatband and white sunglasses with The Pallet gym badge depicting a fire pinned to the front.
(in this generation Pallet has a gym with Serena as its gym leader. And in every league, a trainer must earn 9 badges in total for their participation.)
I start washing dishes to be helpful. A few minutes later, our dishes are sparkly clean and ready to be dirtied by the breakfast mom just finished. me, my mom, and my grandma sat down and started to dig in.
Yeah, I'm going to skip this part. I don't think you need to know about the breakfast. So... fast forwarding thirty minutes! (A FEW MINUTES LATER)
There's a knock on the door. "kai? Can you go get the door? My mom asks from the kitchen sink. I nod and open the front door.
"Hello!"A cute girl around my age comes in and asks me, "hello, I'm Tessia. I am here looking for Kai Ketchum. You know him?"
Huh. I think I know that guy! "Yeah, I do. That's me." I said.
"Cool. Nice to meet you, Kai. Uh... the professor Asked me to get you for the starter Pokémon." Tessia replied. If you just come with me a moment, We can go and we'll get a starter native from Kanto."
We walked Towards the laboratory, While walking, we started getting to know each other better. Tessia is from Johto, She is here because Professor Gary is her father. wait, Uncle Gary, he is my dad's rival!!! it's sure is shocking, that uncle Garry never said anything about Tessia when I grew up in pallet, while she was with her mother in Johto.
After a few minutes, we reached the Kanto Pokemon advanced Labrottory run by Uncle Garry.
Uncle Gary's fellow researchers welcomed us into the lab. uncle Gary then showed up smiling at us.
"I see, you two became well known with each other, again!!. Oh, yeah, hey, Kai? Tessia? You ready to grab your first starter Pokémon?"
"Really? Now?" I asked, excited. I've lived with Pokémon my whole life but I never had one of my own. The professor nodded and Took us upstairs to show the three starters. He unlatched the module, where the Pokeballs were kept. Three Pokéballs were within, but one of them was empty. Alongside them were two PokéPhones and another Pokeball in its far left. Seeing my confusion, Tessia pulled me and said. "You pick first."
The time has come for me to pick out my first and very own Pokemon! I pick up the one on the far left, I don't know why but I liked that feeling about that pokemon. I read the Yellow word inscribed on the front of the ball. Pikachu. "I'll take Pikachu," Pikachu was my every time favorite Pokemon because I used to play with my dad's Pikachu, it's so cute and it can be my great companion. "I already know we'll be great friends.
"In that case, I'll take Bulbasaur!" Tessia says as she reaches for the grass starter. "Don't want to be stuck with the starter that doesn't have a type advantage against yours, now, do I?"
I grab a PokéPhone, leaving the third empty ball and Phone inside. I thanked Professor Gary for the Pokemon and Pokephone, I let my Pikachu sit on my shoulder and casually talked with it, as it was my first pokemon. Suddenly, Tessia called "Hold up, kai!"
I turn around. "What is it?"
Tessia smirked and said, "I challenge you, Kai Ketchum, to a Pokémon battle!"
