"it's not that easy right, you know what, think we shouldn't be having this conversation right now, I'll wait for you a night before the wedding at the Zen garden, I'll be there at 6:30 pm and I'll wait for you till 8:30 pm the train leaves at 9 p.m. if you aren't at Zen garden, I'll assume you won't show up and I'll leave alone because I doubt I'll be able to live in this country after you get married to him"
She burst into another round of tears.
He moved over to her giving her a soft kiss on her forehead, while she leaned forward placing her chin on his broad shoulders
He caressed her blonde hair from the top of her head to her neck in a gentle manner.
"it's okay Love, I'll wait for you" he whispered in her ears, while she cried profusely.
"It's okay, I'm here for you," he said reassuringly
"Okay I think it's time to go now, it's getting late, the last thing you want is your mother getting overly worried about you"
He used his hands to wipe the tears off her face and planted a kiss on her lips
"let's go now, I'll drop you off"
An Sung-Ho was a young bachelor in his 30's. he was very ambitious, coming from a polygamous home he didn't have the luxury of parental care and affection, but that was the reason he loved so much, his apartment was well decorated with different antiques carefully placed at the edges of the house, it beautifully haphazardly arranged, something the most artist would call a beautiful mess.
She raised her head to the think drapes that covered the window. it had a mixture of black and gold with one of the list beautiful embroidery she'd seen, he didn't have much as most elite but he had a good sense of fashion and design, which made her wondered the reason why most of the things they got at home were so expensive.
He noticed she was a bit distracted
"what is it?"
"Your place, it's beautiful," she said with a smile as the tension that existed a few minutes ago dwindled
"Thank you," he said in a hushed tone with a bright smile on his face
Then it occurred to him that she hadn't been in his room before, the last time, they usually met out and just once did she enter his apartment but stopped at his living room.
"Okay if you are done admiring my beautiful works, we can proceed to the garage"
"your works?!!! she asked with a surprised look on her face
"I thought you only did paintings"
"That was like 6 months ago, I'm into interior design now and sculpting"
"You learnt this in 6 months?!!!"
"of course, is it too long, or you're just surprised that your man is very smart," he said with a light chuckle
"alright My Lady after you," he said as she made her way out of his 2 bedroom apartment to where the car was parked just outside the house.
It was an estate and each tenant had a flat, she felt more piece here in his house than at her house which was a huge mansion, infant they owned the entire estate and its settlements weren't for the low-class in the country.
Sung Ho ignited the car and drove off to Yang's estate, the ride was calm and quiet, the only thing she could think about was how to tell her father that she wasn't interested in the marriage, she knew how hard her mother fought for her daily, she didn't want to see her sad, if she ran away her mother would be heartbroken for sure coupled with the fact that she had been recently diagnosed of hypertension she didn't want to upset her any further.
"Honey, are you okay?" Sung-Ho asked taking a left turn to the street that had a direct link to the Yang's estate.
"Yes...Yes... I'm fine, completely fine" she said feigning a smile Sung Ho knew wasn't from her heart but he didn't want to pressure her at all, he knew she was going through a lot, he just couldn't accept that she'd accept defeat especially when "their" future was on the line.
He passed the security checkpoint that led to the huge mansion standing behind a beautiful, water fountain
"Is it okay to go further?" he asked
"hmmm hmmm," she responded nodding her head affirmatively.
Alright, the car came to a halt right in front of the mansion,
"Okay...I'll get going now, good night love"
she said planting a kiss on his cheek, thanks for the ride she said with a smile
Goodnight he said as he slowly watched her go into her apartment, he noticed someone quickly closed the window blinds but he couldn't see the face.
He reversed and went out of the estate.
