The girl watched the flame with fluttering eyes.  She felt a sensation she had never felt before, yes… imminent death!  She knew that if that flame touched her body, she would die.

Keiichi made a circle of fire around the girl and woman, trapping them inside the circle.

*BOOMM!*

The circle closed in a dome, making it impossible for them to leave.

"Miss! Are you alright?"  The woman approached the girl, her expression worried.

"I-I'm fine…" The girl replied.

"Don't touch that flame… that's… very dangerous!"

"I see… but how are we going to get out of here?"

"Well… I'll call for backup."  The woman picked up a communication device.

They spent a few minutes waiting inside the dome.  A few minutes later, the flame began to disappear, allowing them to go out.

"The flame disappeared…"

The girl looked around, trying to find Keiichi, but she couldn't see him anywhere.

"Miss, are you alright?"  Several cultivators appeared.  They were the reinforcements.

"What the hell took you so long?!"  The woman screamed.

"S-Sorry… that wind barrier was causing some problems."

"Tsk! Useless."

"It's all over. Let's go back."

'I will remember you…' She thought before leaving.

-

"Damn damn!"  Keiichi entered his house while mumbling.

'Glad I had that ring.'

He had used the invisibility ring to get out of the place, but his body was badly injured, so his movement speed dropped a lot;  however, the ring helped Keiichi to hide from the detection of the woman and girl.

[Mission completed]

"I thought this would be easier…"

"Yato, you bastard! Didn't you say the cultivators in my world are weak?! What the hell, I almost died!"  Keiichi yelled.  He didn't know if Yato was listening, but his question was answered in the next moment.

"Boy, I didn't lie to you. Well, the woman who fought you is strong by the standards of your world."  Yato replied, his expression impassive.

"Tsk! Help me with my injuries please."  Keiichi didn't know what would be "strong" for Yato, so he decided to drop the subject.

"OK."  Yato healed Keiichi's wounds completely.

"You're a very versatile guy…" He didn't know how many things Yato could do, but his versatility impressed him.

"Well you should be happier you got the item."

"What do I do with this? How will this help me find my parents' killer?"  Keiichi looked at the potion with an expression of doubt.

"There is a spiritual mark on the potion. You can find the person who brewed this potion by the spiritual mark."  Yato replied.

"And what does this person have to do with my parents' death?"

"That you will have to find out for yourself."

"...You're petty."

Yato smiled at Keiichi's words.

...

"That woman said about combat experience… I think I need to improve on that. Do you have any suggestions?"

"You could have just used more firepower to escape."  Yato said.  Keiichi was holding back in the fight, which is why he was at such an absurd disadvantage.

"I didn't mean to… end up involving innocents in this."  Keiichi clenched his fists.

"Well, you made it out alive so it's okay; however, there will come a time when you will have to make more serious decisions. Remember that."

"Well…" Keiichi was a little confused by Yato's words.

"On your question, you can gain combat experience by fighting. Open the shop, you can find training rooms in it."

"Good."  Keiichi opened the store and checked the recommended items.

[Training room V1.]

• Increased training speed

• Enemies to fight

• 1 training weapon

Price: 3500 points

"Is expensive…"

"It's worth it. This room will help you a lot."  Yato said.

"Well I'll buy it later."  There were still a few stitches left, so he decided to do daily missions for the next few days.

Keiichi sat on his bed, his expression tired.  He wanted to sleep, but decided to ask Yato a few questions before that.

"Yato, can you explain to me more about the cultivators in my world?"  Keiichi was left with some doubts.  When he was at the auction, he saw things he had never seen.  He was also confused as to why common people don't know about this.

"Well, I'll explain a few things to you. Firstly, social media in your world is something that won't grow any bigger than necessary, because that could jeopardize the Cultivation secrecy. People in your world are very alienated , because they grow up being taught that way."

Social media on Keiichi's planet had already started its development, however almost all media was controlled by powerful sects.  The expansion of social media is also quite slow, this is also purposefully contrived.  They can't eat more than they can chew, can they?  It's much easier to keep people at home watching television.

"But they fight in open places, so people can still see them."

"Well, you're right. However, even though they fight in open places, they don't fight in massively crowded places. The places where clashes are held are usually in places with hardly any movement. If anyone sees the conflict, they will kill that person. And if someone sees and manages to escape, no one will believe him."

"That… is very cruel!"  Keiichi was shocked by the information.

"Well, on your other side, the items that cultivators use are called artifacts—Artifacts are magical items that can grant stats, abilities, and other things to their wielder."  Yato didn't care what cultivators did in Keiichi's world, so he changed the subject.

"I see… What about those herbs?"  Keiichi saw that he had some herbs being traded at auction.

"They are mainly used for alchemy."

"Alchemy?..."

"Yes, Alchemy. Alchemy is both a magical and scientific form of power/knowledge focused on affecting the chemical and biological composition of objects and living beings to cause a wide variety of effects. The main abilities of an alchemist revolve around manipulating and transmuting elements, permanently altering the states of matter, and even manipulating the vital force. you can also create potions with various effects or even magic items. The best Alchemists can even create divine liquids, among other things."

"Wow!..." Keiichi was delighted with the explanation.  "Thanks for explaining. I'm going to sleep now…"

"Good sleep."
