It was a new day, and a day to Adria's departure. Adria woke up and got ready for the day. She went to the dining, where she saw her sister and mom discussing about something, they weren't even aware of her presence.
"Good morning everyone." Adria said as she took a seat, looking at the two people who paused and looked at her like they had seen a cute puppy.
"Keep looking at me like that and I'll puke." Adria said as she watched the maid serve her.
They immediately snapped out of their daze and turned back to each other as they continued their conversation.
"So that means she will have to go through the private pass of the airport."Berlina said
"Oh that would be nice, enough security and all. But her appearance is still known, she can still be spotted. You know how she dresses." Madria said while throwing a glance at the maid who was done serving them "Anything else? ." She asked the maid.
"No ma'am." She bowed.
"Then you can leave." Madria said as she turned to listen to Berlina.
"Mom, we both know she dresses like an average teenage girl, what's wrong with that?." Berlina said.
"That's rubbish, she dresses like a cozy play in the movie and she is tall making her look like a giraffe." Madria scoffed.
"Mhm mhm" Adria coughs awkwardly "You both know, I'm right in front of you right?." She asked.
They threw a glance at her, they both turned ignoring her. Berlina said "we'll give her a makeover, we'll dress her in a school attire, so she looks like an average school girl who's dad has a lot money." She said as she gave Adria a wink.
"There's no way I'm dressing that way, I don't look like a secondary school girl and I am done with secondary school. I'm not wearing that shit you hear me!?." Adria said as she had enough of this two timid ladies that think they can make decisions for her.
They turned and look at the little daredevil in a mocking way, accessing her cloth, she wore a pink bunny costume and a matching flip flops. "You already look like one you know." Berlina said
"What's wrong with how I dress, I'm still sick so...In fact whatever." she sneered as she saw them accessing her dress.
"Fine you can dress anyhow you want." Madria said "now eat your food before it gets cold."
Berlina "Tell her mom."
"You too Berlina." madria said
"But...but I'm older." Berlina argued.
Adria stock out her tongue
"I hope you choke on that food." Berlina scoffed.
"That's enough you too, after breakfast we continue our topic ok." Madria said
"Ok mom."Berlina replied.
There was absolute silence till they finished there meal and headed to the sitting room. At there arrival they met the doctor in charge of Adria, he ran some check up on her and turned to madria.
"She is stable now." The doctor
"Will she be fit to leave." Madria questioned
"Yes ma'am." Doctor
"Alright thanks." Madria said shortly
"Alright ma'am I'll take my leave." He as he left.
"So? What's next." Adria asked
"Now it's time to fly across the tianjin." Berlina smirked.
"What's that."Adria asked
"It's a city and municipality,in the people's republic of China." -Berlina.
"You say what now?" -Adria.
"It's located on the shores of the Bohai sea."-Berlina.
"How do you even know there."-Adria.
"Lol,well I read and travel a lot, you should try it." She said as she winked at Adria.
"Yh I'll look into it."-Adria
"So tomorrow, this is how everything is going to go." Berlina began to explain the whole process.
"So there's gonna be two of me?." Adria sat back recklessly biting her nails.
"Not really but yes." Berlina shrugged.
"Oh is that so." Adria gave off a bizarre look.
"Are you clear with every other thing?." Berlina asked.
"Oh yes! yes!!." Adria said.
"Good, now if you both don't mind I'll go make preparations." Berlina.
"So we wait till the morning then." -Madria
They spent the rest of the day packing and planning, they had heart to heart conversation and also warn Adria about things she had to stop when she work with the lu's.
Finally they returned to there room when it got dark, Adria tossed around as she found it hard to sleep, she picked up her phone and looked at the time it was still 10pm .
"Oh, I wish this time will remain this way." she whispered to her self.
Immediately she heard a knock on the door. "Who's that?." she asked. "It's me" Berlina said as she peeped a little.
"What's wrong, why aren't you sleeping yet?" Adria asked as she sat up.
"I should be asking you that, you are going to have a very busy day tomorrow and your still awake." Berlina said trying to avoid the question asked
"Well I just couldn't, I feel really sad berly. I don't want to go." Adria said sadly.
"I really don't want you to go too, but I don't want to stop you either. This situation is really out of our control." Berlina explained.
"I'm really going to miss you and mom, I'm already used to being around you guys, you know how antisocial I am and what's worse is I'll be looking out of place there." Adria complained.
"I think you should go for surgery then." Berlina joked as Adria slapped her shoulders playfully.
"No way."-Adria
"Lol I was kidding, you really don't have to worry about looks there, lot of non Asians reside in Asia too." Berlina assured.
"I know, but I still feel sad."-Adria
"What I think you should be more worried about is rasim." Berlina joked.
"What!!!." -Adria said with her eyes wide open.
"I'm kidding, that's just a silly rumor ok." Berlina said.
"Why me." Adria says as she hits her forehead.
"Don't worry little pumpkin, you've got this." Berlina says as she placed her shoulder for Adria to lean her head on "And their food, you might not really like it."
"Why? What do they eat." Adria doesn't joke with what she takes in her mouth, so she asked curiously.
"Squid and some other stuffs, you can google it if you want." Berlina said with a evil smirk.
"What!!!! like squid,squid, like the sea disgusting squid?." Adria felt disappointed.
"Lol yh ha ha ha." Berlina bust into laughter as she heard Adria.
"I'm going to die there." Adria complained as she looked at her big sis in disappointment.
"Lol, there are also some edible things there too.....so don't be too worried. I got a feeling your gonna like it there." Berlina said.
"Why didn't you send me to America Berlina." Adria closed her eyes as she pressed her brows lightly.
"Because that's the first place Nightmare is going to search and you know his influential there, but he won't even consider Asia and his blacklisted there too." Berlina shrugged.
"How did you get all this information." Adria asked her sister with a weird look.
"Well I have my ways, don't give me that look." Berlina grinned.
"I'll really miss here." Adria looked around.
"Your eventually going to come back sweetie, because this is your home and even the prodigal son still returned home when he had nowhere else to go." Berlina said.
"So what are you implying huh, do I look like a prodigal person to you why did you have to use such an example." Adria spat in disbelief.
"Lol I won't answer to that you know better." Berlina teased.
"How dare you! Urrgh your lucky I'm emotionally exhausted right now, I would have gouged your eyes out." She threatened.
"I'm really gonna miss youuuuuuu urrgh I really hate this." Berlina said as she pulled Adria close.
"And I really hate goo-." knock!!knock!! Adria was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Who's that again." Adria sigh.
"It's me my love, I'm finding it hard to sleep." Adria's mom came in and saw her lovely daughters "can I stay?."
"Come on do you really have to ask, come in mom."Adria said with a welcoming smile on her face.
Madria came and sat with her daughters.
"We are all having sleepless nights huh." Adria said "then it's a sleepover."
Madria checks her phone "Its 11 pm, I think we should get some rest so we could get up early for your departure tomorrow."
"Uh! I really don't want to go mom." Adria said holding her mom's hands.
"I don't want you to go too." mom
"Well, she brought this on herself." Berlina said.
Adria bowed her head as she felt guilty.
Madria slaps Berlina on the head "Your also at fault here so don't put the blame on her ok, in fact we are all at fault here so don't center the blame on her."
"How mom don't try to split my mistake, I'm the only one at fault ." Adria said.
"I'm not trying to cover up for you my dear, I'm simply stating fact. We took wrong approach to the situations we faced." Madria said.
"Mom's right, we really did." Berlina admitted.
Adria felt so bad seeing guilt on there faces "oh come on that's enough, no more regrets only lessons ok." Adria said.
"Your right we shouldn't cry over spilled milk, now let's go to bed." madria said as she hugged her both daughters tightly and offed the lights as they went to bed.
THE NEXT DAY
Adria woke up to find her bed empty, they all woke up and left her to sleep.
"Ugh God why!!! You didn't even delay it a little bit."-adria.
She stood up as she walked down to her dressing room, she picked up her robe and went straight to the bathroom, she looked around imprinting every single detail of the place. 'ugh she's really not good at this' she thought.
She went to the bathtub, she turned on the shower as she used her soap to create bubbles she relaxed her body and closed her eyes. She began to have unsettled emotions as a tear slipped through her eyes she placed her hand on her eyes to clean her tears but they just kept coming, she began sobbing silently.
After some hours in the bathroom, she picked up her bathrobe and went back to her room. She stood there for a while as the water dripping down her face and the clock ticking moved in symphony. Berlina stood there staring at the dramatic girl.
"Please cut this out or I'll be forced to puke." Berlina said as she made her presence known.
Adria was startled by the sudden voice "when did you come in?." She asked.
"Long enough to be able to tell you that your surely gonna catch a cold if you spend more minutes here." Berlina said as she dropped the stuff she carried on the chair.
"Echew!!" Adria sneezed and looked at Berlina who gave her a deadly glare "ugh guilty as charged what's my sentence" Adria joked
"I told you, now you already caught a cold sit down let me dry your hair." Berlina said
"Hm" Adria sat obediently.
Berlina started drying Adria's hair, she looked at the mirror in front of them.
"What are in those bags." Adria asked
"Those are your additional traveling bag ." Berlina smiled.
"What about these one." she pointed at the bag on the chair.
"That's the bag containing what your gonna be wearing, when I'm done with your hair." Berlina answered.
"Oh! alright." Adria tried her best to avoid eye contact.
"You know I'm not gonna say it right?." Berlina said.
Adria looked up "say what?"
"Well what you want to hear." Berlina said.
"What do I want to hear?." Adria said as she acted clueless.
"Ha ha nice try." Berlina said as she stare at Adria with no emotions.
"Lol you caught me there, now stop staring at me that way it's creepy." Adria.
"Smart move tho."- Berlina winked at Adria
"What about mom?" Adria switched the topic.
"She's having breakfast." -Berlina .
"Alright." Adria said.
Berlina finished drying her hair and proceeded to style it into a curly messy bun and then handed her a baseball cap.
"What's this for?" Adria asked.
"To cover your face and also there's a nose mask there so you don't get corona." Berlina laughed.
"Haha very funny." Adria scoffed.
Berlina smiled softly "I'll let you change, I'll be back."
Berlina left and Adria picked up the bag that contained the cloth, she opened the bag and saw a crop top with a big hockey jacket and some black pants she smirked "she did listen."
FLASHBACK
"What's wrong." Berlina asked worriedly
"I'm.....I can't wear skirts to that party sis, I hate them." Adria replied.
"Bla bla bla put them on and stop joking around." -Berlina
"Please!!!!! I don't even feel like going" Adria said.
"Then we'll stay home, what do you say?." Berlina offered.
"Wicked! Wicked! you can't lend your own sister your black pant instead you give me a skirt when you know I hate skirt ." Adria scoffed.
"How?! Your the one who said you don't want to go because of a reason best known to you ." Berlina said.
"Urrgh so you weren't even listening all this while." Adria sigh in disappointed.
Berlina scoffed as she picked up popcorn and kept watching her vampire movie.
"Ouch that nigga wants her dead, he's sucking the life out of her, she's already dead run asshole."
"Yh keep ignoring me." Adria scoffed and dashed out the room.
"Get changed and come watch the movie with me." Berlina screamed
THE PRESENT
Adria was all dressed and stepped out to see her mom, sis and a well built young man.
"Adria this will be your new bodyguard, he will also assist you but he won't interfere in your life as soon as you get to Japan do you understand." madria explained.
"Yeah, yeah." Adria said giving Berlina the ~do you see this guy~ look.
Berlina walked close to her and whispered "Don't sleep with this one." she teased as she tapped her back Adria rolled her eyes and replied "never said I will."
"Lol i know." Berlina laughed.
"And by the way his a shadow guard and not necessarily my type. But! he is your type, so I should be telling you that." Adria said.
"Yh whatever." Berlina paused for a while before staring at her watch.
"You'll be leaving now." Berlina said.
"What do you mean I?....I thought you explained yesterday that we would go to the airport together?." Adria steered at her in confusion.
"Well we both know nightmare is gonna trail you, so I'll follow your lookalike so he thinks I'm with you."Berlina explained simply.
"But but I can't go alone." Adria said with disappointment written all over her face.
"She knows what she's doing Adria listen to her." -Madria
"What do you all mean by you don't necessarily need to follow me directly? and who told you he doesn't have one of his boys outside right now, keeping track of who goes in and out of our gate." Adria said feeling frustrated.
"That's...that's right too." Berlina turned and ordered "change of plan, bring the girl we leave together-." She was interrupted.
"But ma'am-." Berlina's right hand guy.
"Let me finish!!. We leave together, but in different SUV's. Now do what I ordered." She said sternly.
Madria approached Adria " I really want to say goodbye and I know you wouldn't, because-." She was interrupted by a tight hug from Adria
"I'll miss you mom, I'll always call ok. I love you." Adria said as she tried to control her tears that was threatening to poured out.
"Your gonna be alright ok." Madria assured her.
"Yes mom." She gave her mom a reassuring smile.
"Alright." madria said as she released her from the hug.
Adria walked over to the car " leave, I'll drive." She ordered the driver, he looked at her and then Berlina in confusion but stepped aside eventually.
"Bu-." Berlina tried to disagree with Adria's decision but her mom held her back, shaking her head she said "don't, she wants to be alone."
Adria stared at everything for a while before entering her car, she started the engine. Berlina and the lookalike entered the other suv as they both drove at full speed.
Adria looked at her side window and saw her mom in a distant, she began to hit the car as she felt bad. But then she noticed a strange car trailing behind them, she connected her ear pod immediately and called Berlina.
"How many cars are backing us up?."Adria asked as she noticed a weird movement.
"Two, why?." Berlina said.
"There's an additional car trailing behind, I'll try to lose him." Adria said as she diverted from the straight lane.
"No! no don't I'll handle it ok." Berlina tried to think fast.
"Alright." Adria said as she turned back to her original lane.
"Ensure to get to the airport no matter what, am I clear?." Berlina warned sternly.
"Yeah see you....someday." Adria struggled to say.
"So your still scared of saying goodbyes." Berlina.
"uhm something like that." Adria said as she and her sister followed opposite roads.
And just as they both thought, the car trailing behind them followed Berlina. Adria took a deep breath and drove really fast turning up the music as she sang along.
"Let me catch your vibe,let just take are time.
just relax your mind and take it easyyyy.

She arrived at a check point and was told to pullover by a police.
"Good day oyibo." The police officer said.
"Good day inspector." Adria replied
"Where are you heading to." Police
"The airport." Adria replied
"Na una Dey chop all the money wey they this country ~translation~ (you people are the one's with the money in the country) I hope you know the protocols." The police.
"Yh, you want my drivers license and access to search my car." Adria said tiredness dawned on her as these people are wasting her time.
The search took a while, they later asked for little money, Adria shoke her head typical Nigerian police she thought, she gave them little cash and drove off.
Note: oyibo is general name used in Nigeria to address a light skinned person.
She was 30 minutes away from Lagos airport. I really drove fast she thought. Just then she realized 4 cars following her, she smirked cause the cars weren't Berlina's or the bodyguard's.
"Not this again." She said as she speeds up, but she saw another rows of cars she recognized and those were nightmare's cars at a the entrance to the airport.
"these people are no fun." She scoffed as she turned her car. Immediately a car hit hers these seems familiar she sneered and countered there attack and drove through a private road and she lost all the car trailing behind her but just as she got to the gate she saw Zaire.
