On his way back home, Jacob can't help but think of the incident that took place 15 minutes earlier.
No one has ever talked back to him the way that girl did and he liked it.
He went to the kitchen to reheat his dinner putting it on timer before going to his room to shower and change out of his training clothes.
After cleaning up and a short shave he heard the timer signaling that his food is ready, he went down to get his food out of the microwave. As soon as he got his food out, the doorbell rang. He heaved a sigh and slowly walked towards the door where the doorbell rang repeatedly.
Before he could place his hand on the door handle to, the door flew open and in walked his cousin, Hazel.
"Hazel. What a lovely surprise? How come you're here?? Shouldn't you be planning your wedding or something?" he asked her trying to get out of this situation really fast.
Mainly because he is so tired and he just want eat my dinner and get ready for bed.
"Of course, you are surprised that I am here and if you had answered my calls, emails and texts, you would know why I am here in the first place." As soon as she finished her rambling the doorbell rang again. Jacob was about to walk over to the door but got cut off from Hazel's shouting "Just come in, Ben" and then a buff brown man came through and stood beside her.
Great. Jacob thought. More guests and all I wanted to do was eat and sleep.
He shakes his head and look towards the couple. He is happy for his cousin to find love and happiness in someone.
Jacob starts thinking about the deal him and his father struck and he can't help but worry a little. Two weeks has already passed and so far, the girls are just getting worse. He does not want to let anything slip by but he is slowly giving up hope.
He looks at Ben and see the way he looks at his cousin, so much love shines through his eyes for Hazel. He wants to look at someone like that and vice versa but who would love him for him and not for his money?
Zeus whimpered in front of him with his frisbee on his mouth, Jacob laughed and bent down to pet him.
"Jacob, are you listening? The wedding is in 2 months and you have to be there 3 days before the 'I do' day" Hazel reminded him.
"I'll be there, dear cousin. Where is it being held at? The Hamptons right" he asked casually as he makes his way towards the kitchen to feed his dog and his growling stomach.
Hazel shrieks with anger and disappointment as she storms her way over to the kitchen to give Jacob a piece of her mind for forgetting her wedding destination.
"It's going to be at The Denarau Hotel in Fiji!!" she exclaimed with an accusing playful demeanor.
Jacob raised his hands in surrender and let out a small laugh. "Ok, like I said. I will be there" Jacob confirmed.
"Shhh, calm down noqu rosi" Ben soothed his fiancé' as he rubs his hands up and down her arms.
Ben Osbourne Lutunavonu a league rugby player. Represented Fiji a few years and now resigned due to a knee injury. Although he healed up good, he took that as a sign and started his restaurant business where they cook and sell delicious, traditional Fijian meals. And now he is getting married to my cousin their stories are one of the easy ones. They met through a mutual friend and they started talking from there, Hazel approached Ben and they quickly hit it off. Now they're getting married and it is reminding Jacob that he needs to find a wife before he settles with Penelope Graviel.
After they had their dinner and Hazel cleaning up his kitchen, they called it a night but not before Hazel threatened that if Jacob doesn't attend her wedding, she will personally select Penelope's wedding dress.
As Hazel and Ben left, Jacob sighs.
'Great. Another lonely long night of search for his bride.' He can't help but feel a little hopeless. He is running out time but if push comes to shove, he will have to find a girl to pretend to be his wife and he is hoping it doesn't come to that.
MEANWHILE:
Hazel is worried about her cousin she knows that Jacob is under a lot of pressure with his work and looking for a bride and a good one at that.
Ben doesn't like seeing his fiancé' in such a stressful mood and extends his hands towards Hazel and held hers while his other hand on the wheel driving. Hazel looks at her fiancé lovingly and wonders just how lucky they are.
She takes his hand into hers and brings it up to her lips as she kissed his rough knuckles.
'I love you', she whispered at him. He smiled at her and brings her hand towards his kissing the palm of her hand while whispering sweet things and an 'I love you'.
"Babe, do you think we could set a cousin of yours with Jacob?" Hazel asks as she looks at him, desperate to help her cousin.
Ben was really shocked at what Hazel asked, he doesn't want to interfere with any of his cousin's life but he also does not want to disappoint his fiancé so he gave a vague answer.
"Maybe, my love but it is entirely up to them"
"Well, how many cousins are here in the states?" Hazel continues to ask.
"Only a few of them noqu rosi, stop worrying" Ben assured Hazel but she still couldn't get it out of her mind.
"What about that other cousin of yours?" she asked clearly lost in the matter.
"Uhm, do you mean Haley?" he asked trying to figure out which cousin of his does Hazel mean.
"Oh, my goodness no, not that one. The other one, the one who is really nice and shy. She always keeps to her- self.
She is very beautiful, a little sarcastic. I only wished I had spent more than 5 minutes chatting with her before she got pulled away by two young children" she explained further.
At last, Ben figured out who Hazel is referring to and can't help but smile. The cousin that she mentioned is very dear to him for it is his cousin- sister. He treats her with outmost respect and love. Given her situation with her parents and her young siblings, he is more protective towards her. He considers her his sister more than his cousin maybe because of the fact that his father and his cousin- sister's father are brothers. Ben's father being the oldest by a year and a few months, he vowed to always protect her and her younger siblings ever since the accident.
He has an idea and he will get along with whatever Hazel has planned out for Jacob and for his cousin. Of course, he would like to sit back and watch how this turns out he can't help but laugh lightly at how this will turn out.
"What are you laughing at, Ben? This is serious!" Hazel exclaimed hearing Ben laugh but clearly not at her.
"Just a faint memory, noqu lewa. No need to feel upset" Ben calmly says convincing Hazel that he was not laughing at her.
"Although I do not recognize the one you keep mentioning dear, but all will be well" Ben assured Hazel and silently vows that he will bring his cousin to his wedding along with the young children, oh yes. How he misses those little rascals.
Everything will be well indeed.

Fijian terms of endearments are totally different from any other languages for instances;
Girl in Fijian means 'yalewa' but in terms of endearment such as 'noqu lewa' or 'noqu rosi' or 'noqu bui' simply means one thing which is 'MY GIRL' or for some 'MY WOMAN' although 'rosi' is 'rose' in English.
[further endearments will be used and translated]
