Lyca was the first person who saw Marceline. She was holding Little Lowell's hand as they approached their table. Little Lowell ran in Dylan's direction as soon as he saw him.
Meanwhile, Serena, Dominique, and Dylan turned to follow Lyca's line of sight. Marceline was already smiling at them. Then her gaze stopped at Serena. The two stared at each other's eyes for a moment. No one spoke between them.
Serena was speechless while looking at Marceline. She felt her heart skip a beat meeting Marceline's emerald eyes.
'Those eyes… look very similar…' Serena couldn't hide the amusement and disbelief on her face.
'Is she… my daughter? Why do I feel close to her? What is this sudden feeling of attachment? This is just the first time I see her.' The Queen of Werewolves couldn't help but wonder to herself.
Reflexively, her feet moved on their own accord. She stepped towards Marceline and without a second thought, Serena embraced her.
