Detective Min arrives at the police station and he can't help but feel that Mr Lee ,Sung-jin and Park Yeona lied in their statements.
He knows he can't do any research on Mr Lee as most cops work for him same goes for Sung-jin so he decides to focus all his energy on Miss Park Yeona .
Detective Min:Get me everything you can on her
Officer Cho:Okay sir!
MEANWHILE ...Hae Won arrives at Mr Jung's just minutes behind Ricky...
Mr Jung: (anxious) How did it go?
Hae Won:(annoyed) Horribly
Ricky:(frustrated) The wrong person died
Mr Jung: (shocked) Who died?
Hae Won: Mr Lee's assistant
Mr Jung:(confused) Wait how did he get involved in this I thought this was a trap for Sung-jin?
Hae Won: Well Mr Lee just went and messed it all up.He came to the construction site under our radar and we both missed him.We just heard the emegerncy alarm ringing so we decided to evacuate. Next thing we hear that old pathetic man crying for help and Sung-jin...(chuckles) was awe but happy to help him .I even had to get in on the action as he couldn't pull him up on his own.
Mr Jung:So none of the people we actually targeted got anything they deserved
Hae Won: Nope ,just some kid got unlucky today
Mr Jung: What now?
Hae Won: Well we can't do anything right now since the cops are now involved
Mr Jung: (frustrated) This just got complicated.
Ricky: I'll have to start looking for another way to get rid of Sung-jin
Hae Won: We'll also have to lay low for a while
Mr Jung: A month will do
Hae Won :Yeah we can't take any chances at this point .
Ricky: It's settled then,we'll meet when this dies down
Hae Won and Ricky return to their homes
MEANWHILE....Mr Lee and Sung-jin arrive home
Mrs Lee: (anxious) What happened?!...Howcome you're late? ...Why do you look like this ...was there an accident?
Mr Lee:(annoyed) Woman I am not in the mood!
He storms off to his room living Sung-jin in an awkward position.
Sung-jin: Goodnight ma'am
Mrs Lee:You're not going anywhere. Tell me what happened
Sung-jin: Well your husband met with an unfortunate accident at the construction
Mrs Lee: What was he doing there aren't you supposed to handle everything at Miss Park Yeona's company
Sung-jin: I am
Mrs Lee: (suspicious ) Then why was he there?
Sung-jin: (cold)I don't know
Mrs Lee:(pissed)Answer me you little...
Sung-jin: (cutting her off)You know where he is, go ask him.
Mrs Lee: Do you have any idea who you're talking to !
Sung-jin:(cool)I've had a long night so I'd like to rest... good night ma'am.
He exits the room leaving her dumbfound
Mrs Lee:(pissed) Just one of these days I'll show him who's boss.
Weeks later
The story blows over and things start slowly going back to normal. Mr Lee and Sung-jin return to doing all their shady jobs.Hae Won continues on her path of revenge even though Detective Min is still on her tail .What he's not aware of is that he's under the very watchful eye of Ricky .
Hae Won: Is he still looking into me?
Ricky: Yep but he wont get anywhere
Hae Won: (teasingly) How can you be so sure
Ricky: (chuckles) Did you forget who you're talking to?
Hae Won: It's hard to forget when you constantly remind me
Ricky: You just have to start acknowledging me and I'll stop
Mr Jung: What's next though?
Ricky: Well I've been looking and I think I've got a way
Hae Won: Is it any better than my last plan
Ricky: Well it's not as good as last times but it'll have to do
Hae Won: What's your plan
Ricky: Well....
MEANWHILE....At the Lee's
Mr Lee:You did well on the last job
Sung-jin: Thank you,but his followers are not happy about it
Mr Lee:(chuckles) Are they ever happy
Sung-jin: You have a point.
Mr Lee:Eitherway you always do a good job so it won't come back to us
Sung-jin: Yes,
Mr Lee:(placing a file on the table) Onto the next one then
Sung-jin:(grabs it)Okay sir
Mr Lee:I hope I haven't been keeping you from work at Miss Park's
Sung-jin: She hasn't been calling in the board members, I think she's still trying to avoid the whole mess that happened at the construction site
Mr Lee: That's business, but sooner or later she'll have to show up
Sung-jin's phone chimes
Sung-jin:(smirking) Speak of the devil..
Mr Lee:What did she say?
Sung-jin: There's a meeting scheduled two weeks from now.
Mr Lee:So she finally decided to show. Maybe I should come out of my hole too,I have been laying low for a while now.
Sung-jin: (chuckles) Business wise maybe ,but street wise you never stopped.
Mr Lee: In the streets if you lay low for long you lose your credibility, so you need to maintain order or people will walk over you.(lighting a cigar)They need to know who's boss.
Sung-jin: It can only be you sir
Mr Lee:(puffing) Ofcourse
MEANWHILE... Hyun Bin receives the message as he's heading out .He just smirks then gets into his car and drives off.Soon he arrives at Hae Won' s residency but she's not there..
Hyun Bin:Okay ,do you know where she went?
Mrs Park: I have no idea
Hyun Bin: Awe ...okay then
Mrs Park: Would you like to come in?
Hyun Bin: No I have to rush somewhere
Mrs Park: (sad)Awe..
Hyun Bin: (awkwardly) You know what I can come in for a bit
Mrs Park's face lights up and she escorts him in
Hyun Bin: How is it that such a big house has no workers?
Mrs Park: We don't need any I can take care of everything, it's the least I can do for my daughter who's ever busy.
Hyun Bin: Don't you ever get lonely
Mrs Park:At times yes,but Hae..umm Yeona tries her best to make time for me
Hyun Bin: Would you mind if I asked something ?
Mrs Park: (nervous) Umm..go right ahead
Hyun Bin: (curious) Is Yeona seeing anyone?
Mrs Park: (hesitant) Yes.
Hae Won:(suddenly appearing) Why are you at my house gossiping about me with my mom?
Hyun Bin:(chuckles) It's not gossip I was going to ask you but you weren't here.
Hae Won: (annoyed) Save it ,If it's nothing work related could you please leave
Hyun Bin: I brought something for you...
He places a jewelry box in her palm then excuses himself
Hae Won :Why did you lie?
Mrs Park: (nervous) Well umm
Hae Won :Don't worry I'm not mad, maybe that'll get him off my back .
She throws the box in the trash without even opening it then heads to her room
Mrs Park :(In her mind) Im sorry I lied my son ,Hae Won is now blinded by revenge ,she will only bring pain in your life...stay away from her
She just stares at Hyun Bins gift in the trash
