This is the story of a boy named Lin Bradley.

The story begins on Christmas Eve. Lin helped his mom with decorations and baked cookies. They invited his classmate's families and neighbours to their mansion for celebrating Christmas. His mother, Melissa is a great cook. She baked bread and Cakes. The sweet cinnamon smell from the bread on the table, made him look at it frequently. His mom noted and smiled.

"Did you want to taste it? ", she asked kindly. she cut a big piece and served it to Lin. Its delicious aroma and memorable taste made him feel like he is the luckiest son in the world. His father is working in a big company. Today he went somewhere for some important work. but, he promised that he will come to dinner.

This is Lin. 8 years old. living in an old mansion, built by his grandparents. It is a dark and hulking, quaint and queer and picturesque building. It is decorated with lamps, bells and Christmas trees. The whole building is surrounded by a beautiful garden. The whole family is very excited to celebrate Christmas. but, they didn't know that today is their last day in this mansion.

Melissa read Bible stories for Lin. She started to arrange the dining table. turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and vegetables and for dessert, apple pie and fruitcake are arranged probably on the smooth table cloth.

" Mom. where his dad?. He promised that he will come for dinner. didn't he? ", Lin asked his mom.

"Don't worry. he will be here on time. he will be here in 15 minutes. He never breaks his promise. That's his speciality.", Melissa comforted him.

He went to the window and watched the gate. After ten minutes, a car stopped in front of the gate. The gate opened automatically. The car entered the mansion. Lin ran downstairs as fast as could. His mom shouted, "Lin. Slow down ". He opened the door. His father, Mr.Min Bradley, came out of the parking area.

Lin ran towards him and hugged him tightly. He laughed and hugged back. But Lin can sense a sadness in his face. They entered the mansion.Mr.Min kissed Melissa.

" We need to talk", he said in a serious voice and said something with his eyes. After seeing his reaction the smile on Melissa's lips dropped. She turned to Lin.

"We need to talk. Can you wait for us for few minutes", she asked.

" Is Everything ok? ", Lin asked in confusion.

" Everything is alright. We just need to talk about something important in private. We will be back in a minute. ok"

"Ok", Lin sat in a chair.

They both went inside the kitchen. After few minutes, Lin couldn't control his curiosity. He went near the door silently and listened to their conversation.

" Lin will be sad if he knows about this", Melissa yelled.

"Lizard has four eyes",Mr.Min said something in code words.

" Ok. we will talk about it after dinner ok. I didn't want to spoil his mood now"

"ok",Mr.Min replayed.

They walked toward the door. Lin ran towards the chair and sat quietly. They started to eat dinner. Melissa and Mr.Min didn't show their sadness on their faces. They talked normally. Lin didn't want to hear the sad news. because it will make him sad. but his curiosity increased every minute. At the end of the dinner,

" Lin. We need to talk about something ", Mr.Min started.

" what is it? ", Lin asked finishing his dessert.

" We are going to cancel the Christmas Celebration ", He said with a sad face.

"what",

"Why",

"Dad, why did you do that. My classmates will bully me for this forever", Lin screamed in anger.

" Because we are going to shift to New York today"

"Today", Lin froze in shock.
