Right before my grinding session, I checked my stats, and how they had increased.
[ Name: Kendrik Reighile
Level: 1
Strength: 6
Agility:6
Vitality: 9
Mana: 10
Passive Skill: Rookie Spearmen lvl1 (Rank: Common)
Active Skills: Potion Making lvl1, (Rank:Legend)
Unique Skills: Author lvl1 (Rank: Broken), Eye Of Analytics lvl MAX (Rank:common)]
My mana was now, my highest stat, which is always a good thing, mana is a crucial thing to have in fights.
I then began swinging my spear. For the first 1 hour, I was just swinging, not really knowing what to do.
At the second hour, I began to get a sense of where to swing, and how to swing.
At the third hour, a text appeared before me.
[The Broken Rank skill Author, is happy that its host is actually training.]
[The Broken Rank skill, guides it's host slightly, to make sure he learns the spear properly]
I was not really that surprised at the text. Skills above Epic rank, have their own 'Ego's', and each skill has their own goal in mind.
Some skills want to reach the maximum level, and evolve further, while other skills what to just 'exist.' His Author skill, seems to want him to get stronger.
Now, that he had something to assist him, he swung his spear properly. With the stacked up benefits of all his skills, he felt something after another hour.
[ Skill Rookie Spearmen becomes lvl 2]
I was tired, I swung the spear for nearly 4 hours now, and I only leveled up the skill once, however, this is a good thing.
But, I could not rest right now. If I want my stats to increase, my body has to be pushed to its limits without any potions to help me recover.
So I swung the spear again, my palm was bleeding, my legs were wobbly and about to give out, and I could barely breath.
Right when I could not swing anymore, I saw another text.
[Strength increases by 2, Agility increases by 1]
I flopped onto the ground, and immediately drank a stamina recovery potion.
"Phew, that was tiring, how do people do this for days?" I said out loud.
I then proceeded to rest for a while, before repeating the cycle.
...
It has been a week since I started grinding my skills and stats, my Rookie Spearmen skill became lvl 12 and my Strength and Agility stat further increased by 6 and 3 additionally.
[A change in the 'PLOT' has been detected due to the hosts actions.]
[The Author skill is calculating the effect of the actions of the host, and wether it decreases or increases the number of point accordingly]
"What the hell?" I said out loud as I saw the text.
This skill always seems to amaze me. Changing the plot can let me gain or lose points? How does the skill judge wether I should gain or lose points?
[The character, Rein Roswald, has been positively impacted by the hosts actions.]
[The character, Rein Roswald will now not go through the trauma of losing her twin Ronald Roswald.]
[The Author skill deems that 4,000 points should be given to the host.]
[The Main Character, Flethcer Mickelson, has been negatively impacted by the hosts actions.]
[The Main Character, Flethcer Mickelson, will now not be able to learn the Uncommon Rank Skill, Dismantle, and will be greatly challenged when he tries to defeat the F rank Goblin swordsman, for his class upgrade quest]
[The Author skill deems that 3,000 points should be taken away from the host.]
[In the end, the host has gained 1,000 points.]
As I read through all of the texts, I had a general idea of what was going on.
Since I had asked my father to get, 100 eyes of the One-Eyed Hobgoblin Shaman, he seemed to have gotten the guards to hire a few adventurers to go get them.
Now that I think about it, the One-Eyed Hobgoblin Shaman, typically do not spawn in the Reighile families lands, so they had to get a few adventurers to get them.
And coincidentally, Rein Roswald, and her twin were hired.
Now, in the normal plot, Rein Roswald, which is barely a F-Rank warrior, should have lost her twin, Ronald Roswald, while running away from a E-Rank Goblin Chief.
But now, since she was hired for a different task, she never meets that Goblin.
Originally, after losing her twin, she would find the Main Character, train him in Dismantling, then help him in his Class upgrade Quest, but now, none of that will happen.
'Shit, I really need to watch out for my actions now, the dismantle skill is an important skill for the Main Character, I have to make sure he learns it in the future. I need to think my actions out as well.'
'Well anyway, she isn't such a major character, her survival won't change my plans. The twins don't have the strength too anyway. I would know, they don't even have unique rank skills.'
'Okay, now that I have more points, I don't have to continue the grind, I can continue with my plans! First, I 2 really important skills, then, I can move on and fight beasts!'
