Chapter Eleven

The connection

The rugby players and the president of Ma Liu University, including Bingwen Deli, the president of the sociology department, entered the room.

Qing Shan, the student body president, donned a gray denim jacket and white sneakers while his right-hand man, Teng Fei, stood beside him in a black hoodie. A beautiful woman stood to his left, wearing a white and pink dress and a white beanie. Behind the school president, six people (male and female) followed, dressed in party fashion. Furthermore, a group of Rugby players sporting sportswear, including Bingwen Deli in a light black jacket, trailed behind these six individuals.

This arrangement made several folks at Grand-Charless bowed their heads in dread. They feared that the student president would notice them.

The school president gained fame after the school director recognized him and expelled the notorious Wei Ho. Despite people seeing Wei Ho as more brutal, they suspected the school president as his kind: cut from the same cloth. People disregarded his patient and mysterious demeanor because they believed he was decisive and overbearing.

Seeing people's reactions, Bingwen Deli smirked, 'That's correct. Qing Shan has complete control. I'm curious how Chi An would react when I report his case. Hehe.' Bingwen Deli thought to enlist the help of Qing Shan because of the reputation which preceded him.

Passing a glance at the public, Qing Shan thought: 'I don't enjoy coming out, but as long as Bingwen Deli is obedient and generous, I'll give him enough face.'

Although Qing Shan didn't like appearing in public, he did so to honor Bingwen Deli because he was a generous spender.

The manager of Grand-Charless appeared at this time to greet them. The man excitedly smiled as if he couldn't disguise his delight.

Stepping forward excitedly, the manager greeted, "Hey there, President Shan. I've already saved you a spot in the VIP section." He spoke in a flattering tone. Furthermore, his Western accent was light enough.

The Starlight Nation accentuated the four cardinal points, and even Jong Ji—considered the originator of their language, had a distinctive accent. The accents in the Starlight Nation varied in speed, thickness, and lightness.

The manager smiled exaggeratedly and thought: 'These youngsters are going to spend tonight, so I'm reaching out my arms to welcome it.'

However, just as the manager was about to approach Qing Shan, Teng Fei came forward and barred his way.

Looking fiercely at him, he said, "Lead the way. Why is there so much nonsense?" Teng Fei stated with a sour tone. Teng Fei turned to the president and gestured with his hand. "Please," he said with a respectful voice.

Speaking over Teng Fei, the manager said, "Oh, sure." The manager's expression conveyed a sense of neutrality, neither happy nor dissatisfied.

When the university students arrived, they saw the expansive area with luxury seating, private tables, and a bar with premium drinks and bottle service. The place boasted its sound and light system, the dancefloor, and high-end waitstaff. However, despite the lovely and wealthy appearance of the VIP section, they maintained indifferent expressions, having been there before.

Swinging his arms arrogantly for the manager to leave, Bingwen Deli said: "President Shan, I've prepared an additional boost. I did it in your honor." Bingwen Deli added a little flattery to his arrogant tone.

Maintaining an indifferent expression, Qing Shan said, "Oh? That's quite thoughtful of you."

Not surprised about Bingwen Deli's action, Qing Shan thought: 'It's great as long as you know your position.'

Frowning at the high-blaring sound, Qing Shan said to the leaving manager, "Please give us light music." After the manager had toned it down, Qin Shan added, "We will notify you if we require anything else." Qing Shan spoke confidently with a rising tone.

"Certainly, President Shan," the manager responded politely and left.

Qing Shan claimed the most prestigious seat in the room, and others imitated his lead by bringing their ladies to appease them. Bingwen Deli approached Qing Shan and bowed flatteringly. He then signaled his men to get the crate filled with stimulant drugs. The men promptly carried the steel crates to Qing Shan's side.
