Chapter 6.3
Seeing Nuan Mei fool around, Jun Mey broke into a smile but controlled her facial muscles. Jun Mey thought, 'as expected from a joker.'
Jun Mey calmly gazed at the officer and Nuan Mei, her roommate. "Sorry, officers, she's a bit of a mental junk," Jun Mey said calmly.
The cop watched Nuan Mei like they were watching a ghost, exchanging gazes with themselves.
Nuan Mei jumped on the sofa and said in a childlike tone, "police?" Nuan Mei looked at the calm Jun Mey and hummed a verse on the playing song. The police watched her in astonishment.
Not willing to spend all day watching Nuan Mei, the police officer by the right spoke, "little lady, we assume you and your roommate were involved in the video's distribution three days ago."
Slightly annoyed, the officer by the left hand interrupted, saying, "when dealing with criminals, Officer Pie, there is no need to be modest."
Officer Ma looked at his colleagues, trying to signal him to be objective. He pondered, 'why is officer Ma behaving like this.'
Maintaining his solemn expression, officer Pie said, "there is no need to make such quick remarks, officer Ma." Officer Pei slowly turned his attention back to Nuan Mei. He said, "they may sue us if we can't establish evidence that they are criminals."
Officer Ma snorted, unapologetic.
Jun Mey slowly stood, her face calm. She walked to the reading desk and brought the laptop. These laptops were as flat as the leave of trees.
Jun Mey maintained eye contact, saying, "officer, were all students. We might have had an encounter with the said victim." Seeing officer Ma's frown, Jun Mey slowly widened her arms receptively. She said, "we don't even know how to hack. We only use these laptops for school projects."
Officer Ma frowned more when he couldn't find anything valuable. He thought, 'weird! Miss Tai Keixin said that I could see them there.'
{Parking lot and Tai Keixin's room.}
Officer Ma dialed a number on his phone while standing alone in the parking lot filled with cars of different colors.
In Tai Keixin's room, she picked up her ringing phone from a side table.
Hearing officer Ma's voice, Tai Keixin frowned, saying, "what exactly do you mean?"
Tai Keixin couldn't believe an officer disguised as a cop couldn't execute a simple task. Tai Keixin gritted her teeth and smashed her hand on the table.
"Grrr," in the parking lot, officer Ma snarled, his eyes shining chartreuse color. He said, "we couldn't carry their laptop to the station, Miss Keixin."
Officer Ma thought that Jun Mey was a cautious girl.
"Hmph!"
Tai Keixin's booming voice snorted in the ear of Officer Ma, who felt foolish for struggling with a simple task. Despite the difficulty of the opportunity, Keixin cautioned herself against greed and unreasonable behavior due to the unknown danger lurking around Jun Mey.
"Use your Kâppas species' network to keep an eye on her," commanded Tai Keixin firmly, emphasizing the importance of the task. Officer Ma nodded in agreement, determined to carry out the duty successfully. However, an unknown assailant forcefully pulled him out before he could get into his car, leaving him helpless and suspended in midair.
Officer Ma saw those demonic sanguine eyes, so his back trembled, soaked with sweat.
The person who officer Ma saw as a shadow with sanguine eyes snorted. He held officer Ma and vanished with him.
They immediately appeared in a deep forest, making officer Ma convulse.
The shadow, who appeared ruthless and unfathomable, spoke with a fast-paced stressing tone, asking, "who asked you to keep an eye on that girl?"
Chi An, the same person as the terrifying shadow, thought, 'I can't believe I'm involving myself with the affairs of this young child.'
The thought of it made Chi Añ frown in dissatisfaction.
Struggling to breathe, officer Ma said persuasively, "My lord, Tai Keixin sent me. She's an omega."
Hearing officer Ma and seeing his pleading eyes, Chi An clenched his fist and said in a questioning tone, "an Omega, eh?"
However, Chi An interrupted officer Ma who wanted to speak, saying, "pieces of garbage!"
Chi An stretched his left arm towards Officer Ma, who sweated in fear. Ignoring his reaction, Chi An enveloped Officer Ma in a red light until he burst. Once Officer Ma died, Chi An suddenly realized he wanted to ask more questions, such as how many wolves hid in Ma Liu University with secret identities. However, he also knew it was unsurprising that other higher wolves would hide in the school and control the Kâppas, the weakest in the wolf hierarchy. Although the Kâppas were considered obedient servants, they desired freedom and upgrades. Therefore, they would hide from both wolves and hunters in the school. With nothing left to do, Chi An disappeared.
