There was nothing, James was just floating in the pitch-black area all around him. Soon enough a light finally appeared.
"It's time we talk, James Bell," an Unknown voice says
Suddenly James was sitting on a very fancy-looking chair and in a fancy-looking room sitting at a fancy-looking table with fancy-looking food. Across from him was a woman who had long brown hair and green eyes. She was shorter than him, probably by an inch or two and she had the same voice as the person in his head.
"The names Yumi Ando," Yumi says
"Yumi Ando? That's the name of the hero" James says
"Yep that's me," Yumi says
James was silent, he was thinking about every detail that he could see and hear about this person.
"Shit, you're not lying, are you?" James asks
"Nope, but let's talk about that deal I mentioned earlier," Yumi says
(What the fuck is happening?) James thinks
Friday, December 15th, 7 Years Before The Sacrifice
James wakes up in an unfamiliar location and quickly looks around at his surroundings. Seeing Asher in a bed right beside his own gives him an idea of what happened. There's also someone holding onto his arm and when he turns to look finds out that the person is Astrid.
(Their still asleep, I guess that fight really took it out of them) James thinks
James tries his best to get out of the bed without disturbing Astrid's sleep. After his success, he steps out of the room and looks around.
(I guess they managed to find an inn, hopefully, it wasn't too expensive) James thinks
"Morning!" Yumi shouts
James jumps startled by her sudden shouting.
"Fucking hell!" James says
"Oh did I scare you?" Yumi asks
"Obviously," James says in a hushed tone
"Sorry about that, but I did tell you I'd be communicating with you like this from now on," Yumi says
"To be fair I was like ninety percent sure that was a dream," James says
"Well, it wasn't! So be ready to hear this voice for the foreseeable future," Yumi says
"It certainly will be an honor working with a former hero like yourself," James says
"Oh stop, you're gonna make me blush," Yumi says jokingly
