"I didn't ask you to come here to the hospital."
Duan Heng let go of his hold on Butler Gao and then he continued to say, "As to whatever that is inside your suitcase, don't even dare to take it out."
"Did grandfather tell you to do something? Don't bother with it. I don't want to lose whatever progress I made with Meimei."
Butler Gao's smile faded, and his eyes widened showing his shock.
[What? Young Master is making progress with the lady?]
Duan Heng was confused by Butler Gao's reaction, "What?"
-Eherm-
"I'm sorry, Young Master. But… What do you mean by progress? You can't mean that the lady agreed to marry you, did she?"
Duan Heng recounted what happened in the past few days to Butler Gao.
Butler Gao was surprised that his Young Master actually made this much progress in just a few days.
He also agreed to not give the gift his Old Master instructed him to do, and as for greeting Yan Rumei and telling her his message, he also put that on hold.
He would explain to the Old Master that doing this might just push the lady away. And if that happens, who knows what his Young Master would do.
He might just destroy the entire ancestral hall in Country J, and his Old Master's precious collections.
If the Old Master insists, he will just ghost him.
[Hehehe, that would be fun.] Butler Gao thought.

"G*dd*mmit?!" a woman in a floral dress topped with a black ¾ sleeve blazer screeched as she entered a white van.
"Miss Xue, this company is definitely going bankrupt. Why are they still giving you gigs to perform in a mall? That's too distasteful and too old style. And the rest actually agreed!" a female followed her in and closed the door after. She continued to say, "They should just allow you to branch out from this lame group and have you become a solo artist and open a live streaming channel in Jibril." Her assistant fueled her boss' anger.
"I know right?! Fifty percent of the fans of Eden are probably all my fans. Or… Maybe more than that! If I follow the trend of opening a live stream, imagine the amount of money I'm going to rake in from the viewers' subscriptions and donations!", she stated.
During the past couple of years, there have been countless streaming platforms that popped up on the internet. One of the most popular is Jibril, which is for celebrities or idols. The next one would be Dindin which is for gamers.
"Heh! Although it's quite disgusting, there are tons of perverted men who would not hesitate to send thousands of yuan. I just needed to smile here or act pitiful there.", she added.
"Do you plan to change to another entertainment agency after your contract expires in a month?", her assistant asked. "Fengfeng Entertainment is too cheap now, you should get into a better agency."
"Obviously!", Xue Xiu took her wallet from her handbag. "They should be doubling my pay if they want to keep me in their company. I'm literally pulling the entire group and they're all so happy to ride on my coattails. Hmph!"
She took a business card and dialed the number.
A man on the other end answered, "Hello?"
"Hi Manager Yu, it's me Xue Xiu.", she replied in a sweet voice.
"Oh, it's our lovely Xue Xiu. How are you?"
"I'm doing great, Manager Yu. I'm excited for our groups' next show on the weekend at Juda Mall. How about you, how are you, Manager Yu? I haven't seen you lately."
Assistant Meng Fen raised her brow at Xue Xiu's statement. She knew that her boss is just acting nice and everything right now for Manager Yu.
Manager Yu is one of the recruiters and managers of Triple Star Entertainment, the agency that Xue Xiu wanted to move into. It is currently the Number 1 here in City D, and they even heard some reliable news that they are moving their headquarters to City B next year.
Xue Xiu met Manager Yu a couple of months ago at the Summer Idol Festival and he showed interest in recruiting her to their agency.
So, although the other party has shown interest, she still obviously can't show others her attitude.
"What? A show at Juda Mall? How can your agency still give you these small gigs?", he asked.
"Ah? Manager Yu, every show is important, it's always a treat to our loyal fans so, it's all good." Xue Xiu rolled her eyes as she fakely retorted in a delicate voice.
"Oh my my… Xue Xiu dear, you are indeed born an idol. How can you be this nice, patient, and hardworking? Xue Xiu dear, you should consider transferring to our company, I will take care of you and help you become at least a B-list celebrity!"
After Xue Xiu got the result she wanted, she spoke a little more with Manager Yu about some details and they agreed to meet in person after her show on the weekend. They then ended the call.
Xue Xiu gave a victorious smile, "Soon, I'll be out of this sh*t company."
Actually, Fengfeng Entertainment isn't really as bad as Xue Xiu and her manager paints it to be. In fact, they take care of their idols and even carefully pick which promotions or shows to take.
Compared to other agencies that take advantage of rookie groups, their agency gave the members equal and decent starting pay.
They provided each idol their own condominium, vehicle, managers, and even gave them enough free time on their own.
It was just Xue Xiu that wanted more.
It's also not bad to want your career to be better, but they were signed as a group, and it would just be unfair to disband them or even just give special promotions or shows to only one member.
The other members of Eden aren't that bad either.
They always practice really hard.
In fact, their group could even be considered one of the most synchronized in the industry despite their hard choreographies.
But because Xue Xiu rarely practices with the other members, she's usually placed in the middle to not stick like a sore thumb.
This resulted in the other members becoming like her backup dancers instead, and so, she gained more fans who also think that she is a deserving center of attraction.
