Chapter 38 - Police Pursuit

Currently, Charlie, who was being strangled, was filled with shock. He knew his own weight. He could actually lift him with one hand. The man in front of him was locking his throat like an iron clamp.

Charlie's face slowly turned purple, and he could no longer breathe. His feet began to twitch. His hands wanted to undo Shi Yu's hands, but his strength was getting weaker and weaker. Now, he began to regret finding trouble with him.

But now, there was no chance. Looking at Charlie, whose body was slowly going limp, Shi Yu did not let go. He twisted his hand until the sound of cracking bones could be heard. With a casual swing of his hand, Charlie's body flew out.

He hit the wall, and the ceramic was also smashed into a hole.

The people around saw that Shi Yu killed their boss so easily, and they suddenly became a little timid. Some of them even began to step back.

Shi Yu glanced at them and pressed the red button. The elevator rumbled to life and came to the 25th floor.

He slowly walked out, but he would throw out a poker card to end a person's name with every step.

After walking to the door, Shi Yu looked at the last person in front of him.

Looking at the bodies lying around him, Shi Yu asked the last person to collect his poker cards.

The last man shakily took out his cards from his companion, wiped them clean, and handed them to Shi Yu.

Looking at the cards in his hand, Shi Yu nodded. A dagger appeared in his hand, and he rotated it between his fingers before withdrawing it.

The last man, Charlie's underling, also fell to the ground.

Considering the room full of blood, it wouldn't be long before the police arrived.

Although the deaths of these people were a little sensational, they were all drug dealers after all. No matter how hard they tried to investigate, the police were just putting on an act.

They were more than happy that someone had dealt with such a drug lord.

Shi Yu left the financial company in a flash and returned to the hotel. In less than half an hour, police cars had surrounded the place.

After the police received the message, they went straight to the top floor. When they reached the 25th floor, the elevator door opened, and a bloody smell greeted them.

This made some rookies who had never experienced this retch uncontrollably.

Looking at the scattered bodies on the ground, they put on their gloves and began to survey the situation of the house. After taking photos and collecting evidence, they waited. A detective brought a rookie to the scene.

Detective Jack brought a rookie, Alan, to the scene. The rookie Alan could not help but retch when he saw the scene in front of him. The moment the elevator opened, he saw more than a dozen bodies lying on the ground.

When he walked in, there was still some white powder on the two rows of tables. It seemed that they were still sifting through it, and there were also some tools on the table.

Further ahead was a desk with a body lying on the side of it. They had read the information before they came. Obviously, it was Charlie on the ground.

Jack brought Alan to Charlie's side, put on his gloves, and turned the body on the side over.

Alan looked at the red-faced Charlie and didn't want to look at him anymore. He went to the bed and opened the window to get some air.

Jack had seen this many times before. He put his hand on Charlie's neck and stretched out his fingers to feel his body temperature.

With his rich experience, Jack deduced that this was a murder. He stood up and looked at the walls around him that were full of bullet holes.

But the people lying on the ground were all Charlie's men.

The ambulance slowly arrived and began to dispose of the bodies on the ground. The photos had been taken before, but now the bodies were moved back to the police station's morgue.

Jack felt it a little strange. Charlie looked like he had been suffocated to death. There were obvious signs of bruising on his neck, and from the extent of it, he looked like he had been strangled to death by a hand.

It was obviously a premeditated murder. Jack walked forward. He observed the wounds of every one of Charlie's men. It was as if they had been killed by a sharp weapon.

Some had wounds on their foreheads, while some pierced through their throats. Without exception, the killing methods were all exact. A single shot had killed them all.

Jack walked to the window and pushed Alan away to get some air. He looked at the intersection surrounded by police cars.

The surrounding terrain wasn't bad, but the best angle to see this place was obviously a hotel across the street.

Charlie started to look at the hotel. The window of one of the rooms was wide open. He saw a man standing in front of the window with a glass of wine in his hand from afar.

Shi Yu stood in front of the window with a glass of wine in his hand and looked at the intersection. A group of police had gone in to carry the body out. Ambulances ran back and forth until evening. The road here was closed entirely by the police.

Looking upstairs, Shi Yu happened to see Charlie looking at him. Shi Yu smiled slightly and raised the wine glass in his hand to the police.

Jack narrowed his eyes and shouted at Alan, still breathing, to get off the elevator and go straight to the hotel.

Shi Yu seemed to have sensed Jack rushing towards him. He was still a wanted man. It would be troublesome if he were found out.

Then, Shi Yu packed his things in a flash and prepared to drive away from the back door.

Jack and Alan, who had chased after him, went straight to the hotel's front desk. They took out their police ID and asked Shi Yu's room number. Then, they requested Alan to guard the back door of the hotel. If someone came out, they would arrest him.

Jack somehow had an intuition that this man had a key relationship with this case.

But when he came to Shi Yu's room and opened the door, the entire room was empty. Only the window in front of him was still open, and there were two glasses of wine on the table.

At this moment, Shi Yu had already arrived at the back door. When he saw Alan standing at the door, Shi Yu slowly walked over.

Alan looked at the man in the coat in front of him and took out a pistol from his waist.

"Hey, hey, sir. Stop. You can't go through here right now."

However, Shi Yu would not listen to the policeman in front of him. He rushed forward quickly. Alan did not even see clearly when the man ran in front of him, and he instantly felt a pain on the back of his neck and fainted.

Jack, who was upstairs, also realized that something was wrong. He called Alan a few times on the walkie-talkie, but there was no response.

"Damn it! He must have gone to the back door."

There was no response from Alan's walkie-talkie either. He was also worried that Alan would be killed by the other party.

When he came to the back door and saw Allen lying unconscious on the ground, Jack hurriedly patted him awake.

Jack asked Alan, "Did you see what he looked like?"

Alan was still sitting on the ground at the moment. He shook his head while feeling the pain in the back of his neck. "I didn't even get to look at him. That man was too fast. He rushed in front of me in one second and knocked me unconscious."

Jack patted Alan's shoulder and rushed out of the back door. However, he only saw a circle of tire tracks on the ground.

Jack quickly called the police station and asked them to check the surveillance footage of this intersection for nearly half an hour.

Then, he drove back to the police station with Alan.
