Chapter 20 - The Woman On The Ship

Shi Yu took a sip and put down his wine glass. He looked at the sea in a daze. They had already crossed the river. As long as they crossed this sea area, they would reach the dock of M City.

Seeing the seawater around the ship being washed away, waves flew around the oars.

In the dark night, only the roar of the ship's engine could be heard. The captain laughed and said, "If I don't drink a little to warm myself at night, I won't be able to sleep well. After all, there's no entertainment on the sea."

Shi Yu nodded. The captain did not say anything else. Both of them seemed to have their own thoughts as they looked into the distance.

After a while, half a bottle of rum was drunk by the captain. It seemed that there was something happy that made him in a good mood today.

Looking at the captain, who was already blushing, Shi Yu did not stay any longer. He drank the remaining rum in one gulp. When he turned around and wanted to return to his room, the captain smiled and told him that he had prepared a surprise for him.

Shi Yu was a little confused, but he still returned to his room. When he opened the door, he saw a woman sitting by his bed.

Seeing that Shi Yu had entered, the woman quickly stood up and closed the door for him. Shi Yu finally understood what the captain meant by "surprise."

That was right. After all, on the sea, having a woman to entertain him was already an excellent treatment. However, Shi Yu did not have any thoughts at all. The fatigue of the past few days hadn't allowed him to sleep well.

Seeing that the woman in front of him was only 18 or 19, Shi Yu asked her about her reasons for following them out to sea. However, the woman's answer was that her family was indeed poor. Her father had broken his leg in the factory, and the factory would not compensate him.

Her mother had also been beaten up into a vegetative state by the factory's employees because she had gone to cause trouble. In the eyes of those wealthy, the poor like them had no money and no power. Only after suffering would they become obedient.

In order to live, the woman had to go out to sea with the boatmen. One voyage was enough for their family to live for several months.

Looking at the tearful woman, Shi Yu's heart, for some reason, suddenly softened. He turned around and took out thousands of yuan from his bag on the table and stuffed it into the woman's hand.

He told her to take the money and live well and never sell herself out like that again. The woman's tears immediately fell like rain. She hugged Shi Yu and began to cry bitterly.

After a long while, the young lady raised her head and said to Shi Yu in embarrassment, "You're a good person. My name is Leah, but the night is so long. Are you sure you don't want to try?" As she said that, she ran her hand up Shi Yu's leg.

Shi Yu grabbed the woman's hand and shook his head. He then let the woman out.

Seeing Shi Yu's insistence, Leah could only give up.

The shy Leah slowly left the room and came to the deck as if a different person. She said to the captain, "You're right. That kid has at least two million in cash in his bag."

The captain did not look drunk at all. He nodded. All of this was just an illusion to Shi Yu.

These people drifting on the sea all year round did not care where Shi Yu got the money from. The most important thing was that the money ended up in their pockets in the end.

But when he turned his head and thought about how Shi Yu was also a troublesome person. The captain's mind was still wondering how he got on the ship... how he killed that black kid in an instant.

But he did not allow the captain to overthink. He thought that although his ship was tiny, at least seven or eight people were on it. He also had this hunting rifle. Was he afraid of a kid?

Perhaps that kid was still sleeping. Thinking of this, the captain gathered all the sailors other than the one piloting the ship and began to plan.

First, he would lure the kid out of the room, then kill him to the bottom of the hold.

After making the plan, the captain sent a sailor to knock on Shi Yu's door.

At this moment, after sending Leah out, Shi Yu let out a cold snort. This group of people was really not simple. If he revealed a weakness just now, he would've definitely died.

Who would believe that an unarmed woman would follow a group of sailors out to sea who had no feelings for killing?

"... if I didn't show that pitiful expression and give the woman a sum of money just now, the woman might have finished me off in bed."

He had no doubt that this woman would kill. When he had just touched her hand, Shi Yu deducted that the thick calluses on the woman's palm could only appear after years of shooting.

Moreover, when he had just given the money to the woman, he had clearly seen the greed in her eyes from the corners of his.

Shi Yu could not reveal any flaws at the moment and had no choice but to put the poker card on her body.

Knock, knock knock.

There was a series of knocks on the door. Shi Yu got up and opened the door. A sailor with a nervous expression said, "Sir, the bottom of the ship is leaking, and we are short of manpower. Do you think you can go and help?"

Hearing the sailor's words, Shi Yu thought to himself, "You finally can't take it anymore?"

However, on the surface, Shi Yu still couldn't reveal any weaknesses. He could only nod his head calmly as he did before. He turned around and picked up the briefcase in his hand. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the sailor staring at the briefcase with a greedy gaze when he turned around.

However, Shi Yu still pretended not to see him and followed him out of the door. After taking two steps, he pretended that his shoelaces were undone and asked the sailor to help him with the briefcase. He lowered his body and pretended to tie his shoelaces.

At that moment, the sailor had no other thoughts. His eyes were filled with excitement when he saw the briefcase that Shi Yu handed over.

When Shi Yu got up and reached out for the briefcase that the sailor was holding in his arms, a murderous look flashed in his eyes. Just as he was about to touch the briefcase, his fingers brushed past the sailor's neck. The sailor only felt a stinging pain in his neck, and blood flowed out from the thin slit on his skin.

Holding his neck, he stared at Shi Yu with his eyes wide open, ones that were filled with unwillingness, as he fell down.

Fortunately, only two of them were on this floor. Shi Yu moved the sailor's body to his room and locked it up.

He walked to the bottom of the ship alone and looked at the food and dozens of barrels of rum piled up at the bottom. Leah was also sitting on the sofa behind him. Four or five sailors looked at her with malicious eyes.

Shi Yu frowned and asked, "All of you are down there. Is there no one at the helm?"

Hearing this, the sailors immediately laughed out loud. Their faces were full of greed as they looked at the briefcase in Shi Yu's hand and said, "You are overthinking now. Give us the briefcase in your hand, kid, and we will give you a way out."

"Or else? Hmph."

Hearing the sailors' words, Shi Yu nodded. Since they were so relieved, there must be someone at the helm. Then, at least, he would not get lost out at sea after killing these people. After all, he did not know how to drive a boat.

Shi Yu pretended to pass the briefcase forward. Seeing this, the sailors all wanted to get it and began to fight over it.

At this time, Shi Yu said something.
