Chapter 4 - Chapter.4

In the capital of Chang'an, in the mansion of the Lu family, the servants woke up early in the morning and were running the palace business without any slack.

"young master. Your robe is ready." One of the servants, carrying a robe, entered and said this.

Han turned around and said, "Ah, Arrived on time, is my grandfather ready? We shouldn't be late."

"Mister Lu is fully prepared and is waiting for you."

"Hmm. Alright, I'll get ready quickly and get out."

As soon as he said this, the servant came out and Han kept getting ready, today was a glorious day, that one of the sons of a grandmother's friend, would marry, and his son held an important position in Chang'an. Therefore, they had to attend the ceremony, where they would be with his grandfather's friend in the procession. So today they woke up earlier than usual. He also didn't forget today was the Dragon Day celebration in the Han Kingdom.

In the scorching early day, the sun shone on a very long wedding procession, and it set off from the groom's palace, heading to the bride's palace, with his band playing on both sides. The groom wore a red robe, and the groom's horse was an exception in white, and no invited person was allowed to bring a white horse. Fortunately for Han, his horse was black, otherwise he wouldn't have come. Han was on the horse's back near his grandfather, who was following in the footsteps of his friend. It was a long way to the bride's house. With joyful chants and repeated congratulations with happiness, and musical instrument spread in the gentle morning breeze, and with the approach of the procession near one of the city gates.

Ji Yu walked close to Han and nodded, "General Lu, there really is a mission but so far he hasn't revealed it."

The procession was advancing at a moderate pace, and at that very moment the young man in scarlet robes with his handsome robe entered the gate and attracted many commoners and some of the girls became whispering, and was heading towards the procession. Even Grandpa Lu had amazement written on his face. The old woman was right, but it was...

At this moment, a suspicious figure walked out from above the gate and raised an arrow aimed at the groom and Han saw this. He guided his horse and darted towards the groom, and the arrow shot through the air like lightning. Not only that, the scarlet-robed youth also rushed towards the groom and pulled him while Han pulled out his sword and blocked the arrow causing it to fly against against its direction. The common people shouted and everyone ran away. And when the suspect saw that he had failed to kill the groom, he ran away.

Han turned around and pointed at Ji Yu, "Yu, follow him."

"Okay." Ji Yue walked toward the suspect without further ado.

On the one hand, the scarlet robe who pulled the groom off his horse left him straight causing him to stumble and break his leg and now he was screaming in pain.

"Ah, have you been hurt, groom?" The young man burst out laughing at the groom's attitude, as if he found his joke interesting, and did not think that it would reach his tragedy, so with a smile he extended his hands towards the groom.

The groom slapped his hand violently, and shouted, "bitch, damn you, are you trying to save me or kill me-"

"Are you well?"

The men close to the groom interrupted him by cursing him and helped him to stand up. They kept asking over and over if he was okay. Grandpa Lu was looking for the crimson-robed youth, but when he wanted to talk to him, he walked toward Han, causing him to dazedly stand in place. At this moment Han was back and as the young man was leaving, the roads between them collided, the young man turned slightly, raised his chin and gave a wide smile.

'A crimson robe and long hair knotted below. There is a sword wrapped in a white ribbon behind his back without a sheath. who is he?'

They both went on their way.

"Han, are you okay?" Grandfather came to his senses and hurriedly asked Han.

He stares at this scene as if he can't believe his charcoal eyes. He blinked several times without further ado, "Yes, grandfather. Let your men follow the owner of the Bamboo Hat."

Grandpa was so dumbfounded that his thought stopped for a bit, 'No way, did my grandson fall-'

"Grandpa!" Han shouted impatiently, his grandfather had recently become very lethargic.

"Ah, well, well." The grandfather said this and turned to tell one of his followers, to follow the owner of the bamboo hat.

They searched for the owner of the arrow all day and there was no trace of him as if the earth had swallowed him up. The groom yelled insults at the bamboo hat because his leg was broken because of him and he forgot that if he wasn't there he would have died.

In the evening in Chang'an, the lights were burning everywhere. The singing and the celebration of the Dragon Day were loud, and the shows presented by the youth were funny and entertaining, and sometimes they told about a historical event and sometimes they talked about comic situations. The children ran everywhere, their childish cheers and laughter pervading all corners of the Han kingdom.

In front of the door of the Cherry Blossom Pavilion stood Yongin and Han who had decided to enjoy their time in the Cherry Blossom Pavilion, and rightly so, it was Yongin who had recently become obsessed with this place.

"So in the end you didn't find the suspicious man or the scarlet robe?!" Yongin spoke in astonishment.

"Yes." Han shook his head and rumbled as he suppressed his anger, "it was the earth had swallowed them up."

Yongin patted Han on the back and said, "Oh, don't worry. They seem to be the bridegroom's enemies and wanted to settle their scores on his wedding day.. Ah, how unlucky he is."

"What are we going to do here?" Han pointed his finger toward the wing.

"It's easy. We will enjoy drinking and girls, hahaha."

Once they entered the Cherry Blossom Pavilion, it was crowded with people. It wasn't usually that crowded but it seemed like most people were saving their money for this day. At the sight of their entry, the pavilion owner arranged her clothes and quickly advanced towards them as she politely bowed, "Ah, Your Highness, General Han is here today?"

Yongin scratched his head and replied with a laugh, "Hahaha, it was a late decision. But... hmmm, it's crowded today, looks like there's no room available?"

pavilion owner watched embarrassedly and replied, "Don't worry, Your Highness, we'll immediately make a room for you, but please wait a bit."

The owner of the pavilion looked embarrassed and replied, "Don't worry, Your Highness, we will immediately make a room for you, but please wait a bit."

"There is no need, if there is no room we will leave." Han said coldly.

The owner of the pavilion listened to him silently and stared leisurely at Yongin for a while who realized what The owner of the pavilion wanted and added, "Han, you promised me we would have fun."

"But it's crowded today, and you see--"

What if we enter the black room? Yongin interrupted, then turned to the owner of the pavilion and said, "Is the room crowded today too?"

"No, no, it's not crowded. Please follow me." the owner of the pavilion answered quickly, leading them toward the black room as she continued, "Although there are new visitors, it is still not crowded."

"That's cool. Is Xun Wu free?" Yongin asked about his usual girl in the Cherry Blossom Pavilion.

"Ah..unfortunately someone took it from the black room. Your Highness, I'm sorry I wasn't-"

Yongin interrupted, "No need to apologize, I'm the one who didn't book earlier. Xun Wu is practicing her trade."

Xun Wu was a beautiful girl who worked hard in the Cherry Blossom Pavilion. So Yongin liked her perseverance and every time he booked into the Cherry Blossom Suite, he would ask for her to come. Now they arrived at the black room which was under the Cherry Blossom Pavilion building. The black room was only entered by the rich who could pay an exorbitant amount to enter it. Although the room did not serve its purpose. On the outside, those who hear about it will think it serves seven stars, but on the inside the nobles gathered for a game of entertainment and drinking. The strange thing about the black room is that any noble who enters it is not treated as a noble and is not treated against his background, but rather as a normal person. So a lot of quarrels, screaming and insults in it. The game they were playing was lying dice. The game was recently popularized in the capital of Chang'an, and the cherry blossom pavilion used it in ceremonies and occasions to drink, have fun, or pay money.

This fast-paced Chinese dice game can be played with two or more players and the number of rounds is limitless. Players can agree on a predetermined number of rounds or set a time limit. The game is played unofficially because new players can be added each round. The game is played by shaking two dice in a cup and then swipe the cup upside down on the table and then both teams call two numbers i.e. the number of dice on the table thought to be rolled on a number between one and six. But today in the black room its laws were so much more observant that they assembled for drinking. As soon as the door was opened, the room was at its peak and noisy. Han and Yongin walked in and some players turned to look at the two new characters that would be organizing in play.

His pupils widened but he managed to maintain his apathetic expression and nodded while feeling shocked, "You…."
