"You are here again?" I shifted in the bed.
The gatekeeper nodded. "Uh-huh. Did you have a good rest?"
I pushed the duvet down to my waste. "Yeah."
She perched on the golden chair near the window seat. "I suspect that you enjoyed your journey?"
"Yeah, it was not too bad."
"You seem better than when we first met? You have a glow about you that was dim when we first met." The gatekeeper's eyes gazed at my left hand.
By reflex, I hit it under the duvet. "I don't understand what you are talking about."
"I see he has proposed. The last time we spoke, you said you would not have said yes."
I did say that then. Things have changed.
"I can see they have," the gatekeeper read my mind. "How has it changed for you?"
